Awful company - DO NOT USE! They take your money, no one shows up to do the work and I’m now waiting 3+ weeks for a refund. I call the Boiler Central everyday for an update on my refund and they just make constant excuses and no one gets back to you. Now looking to take legal action against them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Honestly, pay more and get the work done by a respectable, reputable company, as this is not it.

I ordered a new boiler for installation putting down a deposit of £225 for then to be told the boiler i had chosen wasn't compatible with my pipe work but i could get another one for £500 extra. I turned that down and said i would like my deposit back within their terms (2 weeks) its now been 2 months and every time i call the comapny now one can help with anything managers are funnily enough never there and the account department dont react to any emails
I have now had to go citizens advise and the ombudsman to try to get MY money back. What an absolute disgrace of a company.

Cancelled 4 times for my boiler to be installed. Once I waited in for the whole day and nobody showed up. Really poor service lack of transparency from them. Would not recommend if you need your boiler replacing. It seemed they were unable to live up to their agreement.

Had a really bad experience with BoilerCentral. For the last 4 weeks have been in a holding pattern of boiler installations booked, only for them to be cancelled last minute (by 'engineers letting us down' or similar), then rebooked for the following week, for the same thing to happen again. Many calls to their customer service, each time promises to add me to the 'priority list' and trying to book a replacement engineer - only for nothing to happen. Cancelling! Steer clear of these people, sounds like they're doing this across the board, abusing customers and engineers alike.
Reading around this, if I had to guess it sounds like contractors now know that they're sketchy so are refusing to pick up new jobs, and they're just stringing people along...

I was contacted by Boiler Central to carry out repairs on boilers they had installed, as some issues had come up. They asked me to get it done as quickly as possible — which I did, the same day or the following day after their request.
It’s now been three weeks since I sent my invoice, and I still haven’t received any payment or even a response from them. I’ve tried calling and emailing multiple times, but there’s been no reply whatsoever.
This is extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I would not recommend working with Boiler Central under any circumstances. They do not pay their invoices, they ignore all communication, and their overall service is very poor.
Avoid doing any work for this company — completely unreliable and incompetent.

What an absolute waste of time Boiler Central has been.
Four weeks ago, I had a quote for a new boiler — promised the world and delivered absolutely nothing. Four separate appointments booked, and four times they failed to attend.
I’ve wasted entire days waiting in for engineers who never turned up. After hours trying to reach someone, I finally managed to get through at 3 pm, only to be told the installation was booked but no engineer had been allocated. I was promised it would be sorted the following week — same story again. If I hadn’t chased them the day before, I wouldn’t have known. This seems to be the standard level of communication from Boiler Central.
There’s no proactive contact whatsoever — you have to chase constantly. When you do finally speak to someone, all you get is an insincere apology that they probably repeat a hundred times a day. They clearly have no respect for customers’ time; as long as they’ve secured the sale, they don’t care.
In the four weeks they’ve wasted, I could have had another company install a boiler with far less stress and hassle.
The recent reviews online tell the same story — horrendous service, missed appointments, and zero accountability. I had four Saturday installations booked, none fulfilled, only to be told later “we don’t work Saturdays.” Then why offer Saturday appointments in the first place?
No communication. No reliability. No professionalism.
Save yourself the stress and steer well clear of Boiler Central.

Please avoid this company at all costs. I cancelled my installation of a new boiler due to the fact that they twice let me down on the agreed installation date. I just felt uncomfortable and cancelled the project.
I had paid a deposit of £2000 which I cannot get back, I cannot get to talk to payments department and the sales department keep telling me they cannot contact them either. Has anyone had similar issues and how did they get their money back.

Done an install for this cowboy outfit which i spent hundreds of pounds on materials. Ring and ring you to get you to do work then once its done hang up on you and rude over the phone.
Ive invoiced you several times by the way..accounts are non existent.
What a bunch of mugs and thieves you are taking small businesses hard working money to line your pockets...then register the boiler through gassafe under that tradesmans name.
You lot get out there at 6am and do a hard days graft see how that goes down.

After being told by Boiler Central Jake on sales that the money wouldnt be taken until installation was completed imagine my surprise that is was taken from my bank the same day i booked the boiler installation. Then to book the date on line and to be told with less than 24 hours notice that they couldnt attend i was appalled. I had booked time off work to be present so i had to add another day of leave for when they did turn up. Aaron and his shadow installed the boiler quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately they forgot a part which was included in the price (limescale remover) and left one radiator not working. This has been promised to be resolved over the last 3-4 weeks. Appointments booked but no one has turned up. I keep getting requests to sign off the work via email but i refuse to do this until the work is finished. Contact with Boiler Central is impossible as no one picks up the phone or gets back to email enquiries. I am disgusted with how ive been treated and the lack of customer support ive had after installation. Once theyve got your money they are awful.

Avoid at all costs. Installation date took a week and cancelled twice. The engineer texted us last night 6.11.25 to say he was cancelling the job for today 7.11.25 as they had not approved it by 8pm. He had other private jobs. The initial install date was yesterday 06.11.25 which boiler central cancelled the previous evening by voicemail. No email nothing. Don't let the website fool you. It's a local company who use random engineers on a daily basis. They do not have a reliable team of engineers. Its a poorly run business and they can't get the basic right. Also, if you've an issue with install, you cannot speak to anyone. Online query only. I recommend you pay more and get a professional service elsewhere from a reputable company who are accountable and have a complaints procedure. Using boiler central is guaranteed hassle! I hope this saves someone a headache. We've a 6 year old so imagine the frustration after waiting a week with no heating. Very unprofessional company.

I'm not usually one to write online reviews, but the experience with this company was so shocking and negligent that I felt compelled to share my story and warn others. Honestly, if I could give zero stars, I would. Dealing with Boilercentral was a total nightmare from the pushy sales pitch to the dangerous installation failure. Just save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.
The first contact was brutal. The salesman, Hayden, was aggressively pushy and manipulative. As part of his pitch, he repeatedly used the company's online 5-star reviews to pressure me into trusting him. He even used a personal number and kept texting me on WhatsApp to nail down the sale! This felt shady immediately, especially since he kept dropping the price until I said yes, confirming they were trying to rip me off with the first quote.
The installation was originally scheduled for July 17th. The engineers showed up on Thursday, July 17th, and ripped out my old boiler with the intention of getting ahead on the work while the new unit was delivered. However, the new boiler never arrived. Critically, the engineer confirmed that it was impossible to re-install the old boiler, meaning they were forced to pack up and leave us absolutely stranded, without any heat or hot water.
The same engineer showed up the next day, Friday, but nope—still no boiler. Turns out, this wasn't the engineers' fault; the company was a mess. After doing some digging, I found out Boilercentral hadn't even paid the supplier's invoice! That's why the supplier wouldn't release the boiler. Seriously, their own financial chaos left us stranded. The boiler was finally installed on July 24th after another failed attempt to install the boiler earlier in the week due to the engineer cancelling probably because they were owed money.
Trying to get any answers during the works was a separate nightmare. I would get passed from person to person after holding for ages, only for the phone to either mysteriously go dead or for them to say, "Sorry, the person you need has gone home." They promised to call me back countless times but never would, dragging the entire ordeal out. This went on until the necessary pipe upgrade was finally completed over two months later! There was zero accountability or consistent communication.
The worst part? My wife was seven months pregnant, and I was away that weekend, leaving her to struggle massively alone without any heat or hot water for a solid week because the company wouldn't pay their bills. This situation was made worse because she had to book annual leave or take unpaid leave for these multiple failed visits. This directly affected her, as she was saving precious annual leave for her upcoming baby leave, and the unpaid days left her with less income. Despite putting us through this stress and financial burden, they never offered any kind of compensation for what they put us through, instead, they just tried to add on more expenses. I also heard from the engineers that the company is notorious for not paying them on time or even at all.
When they finally installed the boiler on July 24th, they dropped another bomb. The engineer said the gas pipe needed a larger size to meet regulations. This was a direct contradiction of Hayden's initial guarantee; he explicitly promised: "The quote covers absolutely everything required for a boiler installation." Fine, but then they tried to charge me £200 for this work!
Their website clearly states this pipe upgrade is included, but they tried to justify the £200 fee by saying they only include 5 meters of piping, and I needed 7 meters. They were basically trying to charge me £200 for 2 meters of basic copper piping! This was a cynical attempt to grab extra cash for something that should have been in the quote from the start.
Due to their continued lack of urgency and broken promises, the necessary pipe upgrade was finally completed on October 6th, over two months after the boiler went in.
In summary, Boilercentral is dishonest, disorganized, negligent, and dangerous. Do yourself a favor and hire literally anyone else.
Happy to ignore GDPR to call you
Got a quote through a comparison site. Triple-checked that I DIDN'T click the 'Call me' box and I didn't click through to their website.
Out of the 5 or 6 companies that quoted, only Boiler Central called me - this is against the comparison sites and general GDPR rules. This is the second time they called when they shouldn't have.

I have since found the information that was given to me at the sales stage was incorrect.
I booked a new boiler installation on a Wednesday for the following Monday.
They then called on the Friday to say they couldn't do Monday but definitely would get it installed on Tuesday.
They rang me Monday to say it now had to be delayed until Wednesday.
I was sceptical and wanted to cancel but he guaranteed an engineer would be with me on Wednesday and a back up engineer would be on standby.
I booked another day off work and I spent all of Wednesday trying to get in touch to find out where the engineer was and if they were still coming, I was promised they were doing all they could to get one out to me but never called me back to keep me updated. I finally got through to them at 4pm to hear them say sorry but the earliest they could do it was next Thursday - over a week away!!
I cancelled it and demanded a refund

Jake in sales was smooth and said all the right things (false info) to make the sale and then after I had paid was uncontactable.

Cancelled our annual service appointment and have offered no alternative dates that would be within 12 months in order to maintain our warranty. Contacted support and not heard anything from management so had to get boiler serviced separately. Going to try to claim our annual fee back.
POOR SERVICE
Install booked, Boiler delivered 7.15am 15th Oct 2025. Engineer did not arrive to install, waited in all day. Rang Boiler Central at 3pm to check if engineer was coming, spoke to sales person , he promised to ring me back, no message received from sales or the engineer. Rang Boiler Central 16th October, spoke to customer service asking for an engineer to visit either on the 17th or 18th of October, she could not promise, but I agreed a further install date of Monday the 20th. Engineer came at 1pm in the afternoon, he worked till 6pm, after he installed the boiler Error messages kept coming up, he said it could be that the problem was with a blockage in pipes leading to my radiators. He said another engineer would call that evening. The engineer came and after looking at the boiler said he would send in a report to the Manufacturer and it would be at least 2 days before I got a call about sending one of Alpha's engineers out. On the Friday the 24th an Alpha engineer came out, had a quick look and came to the conclusion that there was a blockage somewhere in the pipes. On the Tuesday the 28th I rang Boiler Central and asked if Alpha had sent to them a report, the lady said I will check and ring you back, No call received. I rang on Wednesday and they booked a call for the engineer to come on the 31st. An engineer from Femmi Heating came, he was surprised and alarmed that I had not had hot water or heating since Wednesday the 15th!. He took time to investigate the problem, he cared. He opened the boiler and noticed the pump was not working, he took it out and found it needed lubricating. He put it all back together and the boiler sprung to life, the problem had been solved.
While all this was going on I wrote a letter to Boiler Central to the director of operations making a complaint and asking for compensation of some kind. I have not had a response. I have come to the conclusion that this company does not care about its customers and their customer service is far below the standard I would expect from a responsible business.
