No refund of a cancelled order

I booked a new boiler and paid that day. At 4.22pm on the last working day before my boiler installation they cancelled the installation. I cancelled my order and they emailed that day informing me I would be refunded in 3- 5 days . I have received nothing and they are not answering telephone calls. They do not respond to my email requests for information. I have emailed their accounts department and their installation manager, they have had my money 2 days short of a month.

FAKE FAKE FAKE!

FAKE FAKE FAKE!

DO NOT USE

We have had our boiler service cancelled 5 times now! We are left with no heating and have a 4 year old child. This is causing so much stress and making us ill it’s really unfair!

Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews they are most certainly FAKE

we can’t get hold of anyone this is so upsetting and they have our money!

Horrendous company - Please avoid

Horrendous company.

Its hard to describe how bad they are. I've certainly never dealt with a business that operates this badly before.

Initially contact was very easy, I had a call after enquiring online, they said they would let me think about it and call back later and they did exactly when they said. I signed up on 12 month 0% APR for a boiler replacement.

They called me the next day, booked in for the boiler to be fitted and everything seemed to be going well. Then the problems began. They cancelled at 3pm the day before attending as the engineer had let them down. I agreed for it to be booked in for 3 days later, wanting to get it done before it got cold. They do advertise on the website that they can install the next day up until about 4pm of that day, but this was never offered to me. This time the engineer hadn't arrived for 10am as they state they should. I managed to get through to the support team who said the engineer was due to pick up the boiler and should be on his way soon. An hour went by and nobody was here so I called back, they said they would try and get in touch with him. They called me back one hour later and said he had an emergency and needed to go home.

They booked in again for another few days later and this time cancelled again about 3pm the day before because the engineer looked at the photos and didn't have a long enough ladder (Farcical, I know). I was going away on holiday after that so I said its last chance saloon, do it on the Monday I am back off holiday or I'll be cancelling.

So for the 4th re-arranged appointment, I waited.. AND waited and nobody arrived by the 10am time they said is the latest the engineer will arrive. So I tried calling, and nobody was answering. I spent a good hour and a half trying to get through that day and nobody answered. Now it is two days later and I have still heard nothing, they are still uncontactable.

This company is a serious red flag and loads of people are starting to raise this, a director has recently left and I would have major concerns if I was you and thinking of booking them in to get a boiler.

Please avoid a load of hassle and don't use these, let them go out of business and disappear as companies like this should.

I think they're scammers

I think this company has scammed me off £2,765. I paid in full for the installation. A few days after I just had a bad feeling about them when I contacted the sales person and his reply made me feel it was going to be a nightmare dealing with them going forward.

I think they're nice untill you pay and after they have your money they show their true colours.

It's been 8 working days and still haven't got my money back and on their cancellation email it says 3-5 WD! Please stay away and after reading other reviews, am certainly worried I won't be getting my money back!

If i could give this company zero stars…

If i could give this company zero stars i would! No one has answered the phone over the last 3 days i have been calling and no one is answering emails. I'm waiting for my refund and they just are not delivering. There will be a small claims court case heading their way soon if no one responds. The most ridiculous terrible service i have ever experienced!

Boiler Central went bust on friday making staff redundant and also owing engineers £1000's they were on stop at the merchants so engineers couldn't even get hold of boilers so no point contacting them because you wont get very far

Appalling Service – Endangering a Vulnerable Tenant

Boiler Central Ltd has been an absolute nightmare. My boiler installation has been delayed multiple times, with no communication, and their phone lines cut off repeatedly. This is completely unacceptable.

Because of their incompetence, my tenant – a medically vulnerable woman – has been left without heating or hot water. She has had to stay in a hotel, which is extremely uncomfortable and is negatively affecting her mental health. This is not a joke — this company is putting vulnerable people at risk.

I have paid via credit card and will be raising a Section 75 claim, filing complaints with the Ombudsman and FCA, and pursuing compensation for all additional costs incurred due to their negligence.

Boiler Central Ltd needs to fix this immediately. If they continue ignoring their responsibilities, I will escalate this publicly and legally. Avoid this company at all costs.

They will not help you

Whatever you do, do not take out homecare cover with this company. They ignore your calls, online forms and the 24hr callout number doesn't work. They are a scam cover company that will not help you.

Awful company - ZERO STARS

If I could give ZERO stars I would, just like everyone else in the reviews - it is absolutely impossible to get hold of anyone via phone/email.

Last week we were called by a sales person named Jake, who was nice enough but only so we could complete the sale. After we did, our boiler was promised installation a few days later. They called us the day before to apologise that no one could pick up the job and rebooked it for today.

We didn’t receive any calls, emails or confirmations about the engineer coming. We waited in all day and no one turned up, tried calling all the numbers available (including the “work phone” of our sales person, Jake, to find it no longer working).

Luckily, we opted for finance and no money has been taken out, however, it has been a pain as we have had to go through the finance company to cancel the agreement.

We have been without a working boiler for nearly 2 weeks and have 2 little daughters.

If you’re reading this review, please please stay away to save yourself stress and hassle. It’s really not worth it and their prices are not too different from other companies out there.

Before 3 November 2025 we paid fully for a boiler , no engineer came on 3rd november We received no phone call, no message, and no email to inform us of any issue or cancellation
Later, we were informed that the real reason for the non-attendance was that they did not have a Gas Safe engineer available to carry out the work.
As of today, 14 November 2025, we still have:
No confirmed installation date,
No written update on what is happening and full payment was done
This situation is particularly serious because:Our boiler was not working at all at the time of order.We have a 4-year-old child in the property and they do not care I am esclating the case to authorities as they are FCA regulated

DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY!

So... I think this company has gone under.
I've waited OVER 1 week for an engineer regarding a small fault on a boiler, they've had 12 months of contract with me and communication is zero.
Poor reviews here in recent weeks as you'll see. And 1 of 2 directors terminated from the business less than a month ago I see.

I've chased by phone, several emails and nothing has happened, and today (17/11/25) phones now seem disconnected, even if trying to order a new boiler.

I'll go via the procedure to cancel with them, and ask my bank to halt my monthly payments.

Do NOT deal with this Company! They don't even Pay their Contractor's

Do NOT deal with this Company!
Booked a Boiler install in Sept of this year... They sent Engineers to install the new Boiler, but don't actually deliver the Boiler so Engineers had to turn away. When new Boiler eventually arrived, it was missing parts.

The Plumbing Company who installed the Boiler still haven't been paid!
They are refusing to give my Boiler Warranty even though I've paid for the installation upfront in full.
They ignore calls and emails.
I've reported them to Trading Standards. I repeat, do NOT use this Company.

I have used this company for over 8…

I have used this company for over 8 years lately the level of service and commitment to agreed attending times is a complete joke.
Boiler service in Jan this year 5 appointment's the last one they did not have the seals.
Boiler repair 6 days to organize failed to attend nobody will answer the phone now

THIS COMPANY IS ABSOLUTLY DIABOLTICAL AND I CANNOT BELIEVE IT IS STILL IN BUSINESS.. THE TRUTH.. CUSTOMERS BOILERS ARE CANCELLED THE DAY BEFORE BECAUSE THEY HAVE RUN UP A DEBT WITH ALL THEIR ENGINEERS AND DO NOT PAY THEM SO THE ENGINEERS CANCEL THE WORK THAT IS BOOKED IN. IF THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY THERE 'WORKERS' THEY MOST DEFINATLY ARE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO PAY A REFUND BACK..

I HAVE HEARD THROUGH OTHERS THAT THE MAIN GUY IN THERE HAS LEFT AS ITS GOING TO LIQUIDATE AND WHILST THEY KNOW THAT STILL TRYING TO GET AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY CAN AND NOT FURFIL ORDERS!
