Shockingly bad experience - Cancelled my installation 4 times!!

Boiler Central have now cancelled my installation 4 times. Initially advised that they would be able to install the new boiler next day but have been pushed back for the past 2 weeks with terrible excuses and no accountability. Companies House shows that one of their Directors, who is also described as "Head Honcho" on their website, resigned last week which combined with the poor service suggests they are struggling. All the reviews over the past month have been negative and looks like everyone is going through the same pain of these cowboys taking money and not being able to fulfil the order. Have requested a refund so we will see. Urge people to stay far away. Shame because this makes it difficult to trust other companies who offer the same service but actually care. Look at other companies such as iHeat or Heatable who actually respond to their customers and reviews on Trustpilot!!

Absolutely awful service

Absolutely awful service. New boiler installation got cancelled 3 times. Advised by staff that would get me a ‘more reliable engineer’ for next time. Wasted annual leave waiting in for them. Lots of phone calls chasing often calls just ringing out. Got a loan tied to the boiler and to add insult to injury boiler central marked the order as complete meaning I was being chased by loan company. Reached out to CEO
and was blanked. Went with a different company in end and good service.

Ongoing repeated installation cancellations and terrible service

I would give zero stars if I could.

Unfortunately they are quick to sell and then not just slow to deliver but failing to do so.

I had to buy a new boiler and was told it would be installed at the end of the week, on Friday. On Thursday I had a call saying they would have to delay to the following week.

The day before that installation I had a call to tell me they had to cancel, and to move it back another week. I was told I would get a free boiler service for this and I would get this in writing. This has not come.

Today, I have just received another phone call to tell me that my installation has been cancelled for the third time and needs to be rebooked.

I have been without heating for nearly two weeks now, I have a full time job and two young children in the house, all of which they are aware of.

I asked to speak with a supervisor and I was told one would call me back. Nobody called me back.

I waited until the end of the business day to leave this review.

Edit: called them myself. Nothing had been noted about the free service on my account and it looks like I will have to wait ANOTHER week to hopefully get the boiler installed then. And, at this stage, it's all I have - hope.

I do not recommend paying this company any money until services have been rendered.

Further Edit: I was booked in for today, Monday 10th Nov 2025. Just had a text ON THE DAY past 9am to let me know they have had to cancel again. This is the 4th time. I had to call the office myself to confirm.

This company has totally failed to provide any sort of service. I have had to stay at home from the office today for no reason. I have been offered no meaningful compensation and they cannot yet tell me when I will be able to have my boiler installed.

At this stage I feel it's my moral duty as a human being to let everyone I know know just how awful this company is.

15/11/25 Further edit: I have now had FIVE cancellations (another one on Wednesday this week), the last two on the day of the appointment.
They have promised for three days in a row to get back to me by the end of the day, either to update me when they might have an appointment or to actually rebook me in.

They have failed to do so every time, and now their phone lines go unanswered after five minutes then hang up on you automatically.

All I can say is, to me, it's absolutely incredible how they have so completely failed as a company. I'd like an explanation from them but no one appears able to take any sort of accountability in their company, nor are they offering any compensation.

Days spent at home, not at the office, hours wasted on the phone... I'd really like an explanation.

SO BUYER BEWARE.

Unfortunately paid thousands up front…

Unfortunately paid thousands up front and was given 4 different dates for the boiler to be replaced over a 2 week time slot. No heating or hot water during this time. This company let us down by either not turning up and even not letting us know. So we cancelled on 2nd October and still haven't had our money returned. Rang and sent emails numerous times and even now they have not been in contact. We are pensioners husband 76 and we need our money back.

Harassing calls

I looked up pricing for boilers on a price comparison website out of interest, I have no current plans to replace our boiler. I specifically did not tick the box consenting to be contacted, yet Boiler Central have been spam calling me 3-4 times a day ever since. I have blocked their number but they are persisting. If I ever was considering using them, I definitely wouldn't now.

35 days no refund and correspondence

Paid upfront for a boiler on the 27th sept, they said the gas engineer had a family emergency and cancelled and then said it could be done the next day. I called them up and that wasn’t true it would’ve been the week after they could fit me in. I cancelled altogether and requested a refund on the 29th sept. Said it would be 3-5 working days. On the 9th Oct they emailed saying they’d hope to refund me in 14 days which would be 23rd of Oct. I’ve had no refund and no one is answering my emails. It’s been 35 days no refund, no communication so I’m requested a chargeback from my bank, I’ll be contacting citizens advice too and when it’s all said and done I’ll be leaving a complaint with trading standards.
On another note, the gas engineer that did come out used to work for boiler central. He showed us emails of begging for payments, terrible communication on their behalf. I’m not sure how there’s so many positive reviews on here as going through social media no one seems to have a nice thing to say.

Omg where do I start 1 year ago I put…

Omg where do I start 1 year ago I put an awful review on here about this company and within an hour I had them ringing me up and ask would I take it down if they sorted the problem and give me a first service free which I agreed…so nov 2024 I booked to have a boiler fitted so the night before I had a phone call to say they had to cancel as the gas fitter had an emergency so I lost a days pay because they cancelled, so rescheduled me for 2 days later. Wow the gas fitter moaned about the job all day as he said if he knew the boiler was going to be moved he wouldn’t have accepted the job , he fitted the boiler and didn’t have an electric to the boiler as he said I would have to get an electrician to fit one, which was in with boiler being fitted . So complained and had to wait 7 days before they sent another person the rectified it which he connected the electric wire under the floorboards … as we was renovating the house I didnt realise there wasn’t a switch to turn the boiler off so I contacted them again and sent the same person out but he didn’t come on the day he was suppose to come had to wait again. I would never use them or recommend this company what a rubbish after service they are quick enough taking your money but not quick enough fixing the problems. So no free service surprise surprise so this is why I’m putting it back on trust pilot

Worst company I've ever had dealings with.

I paid up front for a new boiler in August 2025. Boiler Central Ltd cancelled and rescheduled the appointment 4 times after which I cancelled the order. I requested my money back and was given assurances on 2 occasions that this would happen within 14 days. No money has been returned as of November 2025. I'm now seeking to take them to the small claims court to recover my money. They do not make contacting them easy and respond slowly and irregularly to emails. Avoid this company at all costs.

Abysmal customer service (cont…)

Gave one star because the Trust Pilot system doesn’t appear to accept zero stars.

Familiar story I’m afraid. Paid Boiler Central on Sept 14th for a boiler, three times they gave me an installation date and they let me down each time. So I cancelled. First I was told a refund would take 3-5 days, it didn’t materialise. Then I was told it would take a further 14 days. Here we are 47 days later no refund and no response to my latest email despite the fact that I told them I’m a pensioner and currently have no heating

With hindsight I would pay a local tradesman rather than an online supplier. I got quotes from 6 locals, all similarly priced, but more importantly I got to listen to, assess and compare them, their experience and ideas - there was quite a variation between them. Another plus, their quotes were all around the same as Boiler Central

Do Not Pay Their Suppliers!

Beware to all suppliers, Boiler Central T/A Green Central do not pay their bills!!

We put scaffold up for this company and once the scaffold was up they stopped communicating with us. I called several times and they said they would pass a message on to there accounts department but still no reply. I have now passed this over to debt collection.

Viessmann Vitodens 050-W 30kW has only been running a few days so can't comment on efficiency or quality just yet, but so far so good.

Do not use - would not recommend

Do not use!

Order placed 12/10/25. No order number or confirmation email sent. Poor communication, repeated cancellations, and no acknowledgement of refund request. Refund only received via PayPal after Boiler Central ignored two complaint emails. Would not recommend.

Where's my money

Sorry to say my experience ended UK being really negative.

Boiler installation booked in, all great so far.
During the sales process, they acquired payment details but advised, the funds wouldn't be taken until the installation had been completed.

Happened to check my account and the funds had already been taken!

Day of installation...waiting, waiting. Called up to check where engineer was, told "oh, they're not coming, they are on another job".

They were all prepared to put the phone down!!!

After various conversations, and being let down on two fronts, I'd lost faith in them and I decided to cancel and take my business elsewhere.

Was sent the cancellation notification and a week later, I'm still waiting for my money.

The company is very good at getting the sales, but their systems and processes are severely lacking. After chasing, I was informed they had messaged the accounts team to process the refund, but they couldn't do anything more than that.

I can't believe they think all the problems I experienced are acceptable.

Only good thing I can give credit to is Jake in the sales team who tried his absolute best to help within his powers.

Installation cancelled 5 times!

After being without heating and hot water for three weeks (due to insurance taking that long to refuse boiler replacement), I got several quotes for a new boiler. Boiler Central gave a good quote and promised on the Thursday that installation would be on the next Monday and that we would be given priority due to having two seniors and two young children in the house. Ten days later we have had five cancellations! Each time they vaguely blamed the engineer. I have now cancelled the order and am trying to get my payment of £2,850 back so that I can arrange purchase and installation with another company. Beyond disappointed!

Waste of time and money aftercare is non…

I got my new boiler pleasant experience fast efficient so I thought
I’m now coming for 3 years in boiler was install incorrectly I’ve had a massive leak where they haven’t connected the overflow to anything so my stairs and kitchen celling leak and I’m still 2 months waiting for it to be repaired or to even speak with a manager! I get told there in a meeting, we are trying very heard to get a engineer but there’s none in your area, meanwhile my house has a massive leak tiles on my roof hadn’t been put back properly and to top that off my electrics are held together with duck tape would strongly recommend not going with them the after care is shocking rude staff

Worst customer service ever

I booked a boiler service on their website and had to pay in full in advance. I was able to choose three different dates for service and was to be notified when a specific date was scheduled. I waited and never heard back when the first two dates had passed I phoned boiler central to find out what was going on. They said they would phone me back. They didn’t. I had to phone again. When I finally spoke to somebody they said they are not doing boiler maintenance anymore. I requested my money back and they have yet to refunded my money. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They didn’t even apologize.
