Very poor
Good communication during initial sales process but everything else very poor. Installation was rushed and contractor left lots of mess I had to clean up. It took two further visits to rectify issues, but installation remains far from tidy. I’m still waiting on a receipt, warranty documents, and Gas Safe certificate several weeks on. I greatly regret not using an independent local Gas Engineer.

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY for your boiler installation. They are an absolute joke and should be reported to Trading standards. How they are allowed to continue to trade is beyond me. And how on earth are they receiving 81% of 5 star reviews? Surely they must all be fake!
I was lured initially by the competitive pricing, discounts they were able to offer and the ability of Jake and other colleagues to answer my questions of which there were many. As soon as I confirmed I was happy to go ahead, the installation date got pushed back time and time again, over a period of 3 months. The initial contact was in mid-June. I didn't get my boiler installed until end of September. And thank goodness I didn't pay anything - only a deposit of £100 which I did on my Barclaycard. I even struggled to get that back from them & had to go through Barclaycard chargeback.
Word of warning - do not pay them or at least the absolute minimum until the boiler has been installed and the job is fully completed. In fact don't pay them at all, avoid at all costs!!!
It was difficult to get in touch with them, awful customer service. I spoke to 4 different people on 1 occasion and it was just impossible to speak to them again. Thankfully I complained, spoke to a decent person, the only one called Scarlett who was sympathetic to my situation and offered my a discount I was initially promised.
The reason why the installation date kept on being rescheduled - I soon found out - is because the company does not pay their engineers so why would they want to install if they are not being paid? Thankfully, we remained on good terms with the engineer who was very good, we broke the contract with Boiler Central and we paid the engineer directly instead. He's done a really good job and will be getting him to do some work in our bathroom, so it all ends well, but it's been one hell of a rollercoaster ride!
Pointless having a warranty with Boiler Central…
I have a warranty with Boiler Central for a relatively new boiler that they installed for us, but this is pointless because I have been trying to contact them for days and can’t get through. I have also sent several emails and not received a response. You can’t type anything in the live chat and no appointments are available till 7th of December (because it’s of course ok to have no heating and hot water for over two weeks during winter!). Interestingly, this company trades under 7 different names (Carbon Central, Green Central,Charge Up at Home, Easyboilers, Instaboilers and Thome) - I wonder why? Do not believe the claims on this website…none are true - even the trust pilot rating of 4.8 that they claim! James, Joanne, Myles…can one of you please sort your services out instead of simply expanding/changing your trading name, as you are clearly unable to deliver any kind of service past the sale of boilers at all!

They never answer the phone, or respond to their emails… buying a boiler from them was easy and hassle free but trying to get hold of them for any issues after that has been the opposite end of the scale.

Ordered a boiler for installation. They cancelled twice after which I cancelled the order and still awaiting my refund and no response despite repeated emails and calls. Appears that they may have "blocked" my number so no on picks up and call disconnects after ringing for sometime?
Second time the installer called me as he wanted to visit the site and mentioned that he got call out of blue for my installation without much details and he has never dealt with them.
I had paid advance for installation of £215 and not sure I will see this money again!
Avoid this company and goto Gas Safe register and call a local installer with good reviews.

This company owe me £2675 that I paid for boiler installation up front. I was doing quotations online, not boiler centrals website. Ticked the box not be contacted by companies by phone and they rang me. Went through everything and it sounded good. Could fit boiler 2 days later. Funny enough i said i didnt want to pay up front incase they didn't show up..he must of thought i was psychic. Offered me buy now pay later. Emailed me the forms 19% interest and wasn't what he explained, no thanks so paid full amount like a fool.
Was then the day before installation they then cancelled by txt. Tried for days to speak to someone by phone to rearrange. Speaking to someone is almost impossible. Rings off. Then eventually spoke to someone unprofessional and rearranged. He then txt me straight away offering me money off my quote for installation. What quote ffs. Gave me the impression this installation wasn't going to happen. Read their reviews. Something i always normally do beforehand and thought what have I done. Cancelled straight way using their online form. Message then saying 3 to 5 working days for redund. Well that was the 15th October still no refund and i still have no boiler. Emailed their complaints department no reply.
DO NOT PAY THEM ANY MONEY. Nothing but stress. Glad they didn't go ahead with installation because if you had a problem you wouldn't be able to get hold of anyone to resolve anything.
Luckily I paid by credit card. My bank is dealing with it now. Hopefully get my money back 🙏

Installation Damaged Building and Others Property
Please do not use this company. This company was horrible in every way to use, but this just takes the cake. I will quote the message from my downstairs neighbour.
"Hi, just had my boiler service and when he was checking the flue outside he noticed your boiler flue is pouring acidic water out it down the building stone and directly onto my flue - something to do with the angle of your flue not being tilted enough to pull the water back into your waste system. When you have your yearly service can you get them to sort it - it eats through the brick work and the plastic so it'll end up eroding back into my boiler. He's put a flag on my service notes that he'll have to condemn it when the water eats through the flue"

I was due to have a boiler installed. No one turned up. The contract was cancelled, no one contacted me. I could not contact customer service. With no explanation I am left without a new boiler with no notice whatsoever

Don't waste your time, go elsewhere
This company is almost impossible to get in contact with, the phone gets answered once in a blue moon, every other time it just cuts off after putting you in an automated queue.
I signed up for a yearly service plan as its supposed to be easier to get booked that way, 30 attempted calls and I'm still yet to speak to anyone and the site is hopeless.
I'm stuck with them to keep the warranty on a boiler I bought from them (that was also a nightmare once they'd taken the money) avoid at all costs!

There is something very wrong with this company. I got a boier under a year ago. As with the most unreliable companies, they're excellent at the point of sale. Once this is over and they've been paid they are unreachable, they don'r respond to calls or emails. They will set up a direct debit for a service contract but you can't get an engineer visit and the risk is that the year lapses without the annual service . Avoid this compay

It's been over two weeks since purchasing the boiler, the install date was moved 3 times and on the day of the install nobody turned up. You try their phone lines and all you'll get is a jingle and an all our agents are busy excuse. Beyond pathetic.

They are Bust and are scamming you if they take your money. They owe loads of customers refunds and their subcontractors £1000s. They are on Stop with all suppliers so can’t get any Boilers if they wanted to.. if you are waiting for a refund contact your bank immediately and process it through them.
No doubt they will get bankruptcy and start up again under a different name very soon. So be very vigilant go with a reputable company like Heatable or Boxt.
Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience with Boiler Central.
Ordered an extremely expensive boiler/installation which was subsequently cancelled on three separate occasions.
I then decided following discussions with a Toni who said she was a Manager of the Sales Department (if she is she has had no training, trust me) that I would cancel the full contract/installation/contract.
And then my problems increased ten fold. I had paid. £1,100 deposit which Toni said would be refunded in 3-5 working days.
What an absolute lie.
Two weeks later after numerous phone calls/emails with no replies, no monies have been refunded.
Currently dealing with Citizens Advice and Trading Standards.
Please stay AWAY from dealing with this company
Boiler Central took my money in…
Boiler Central took my money in September. It is now late November. They have promised installation on 10 occasions since then but failed to deliver. They either cancel the day before, on the morning of the installation or the one latest one just don’t turn up and fail to contact me. It is incredibly difficult to get them to answer the phone. I have asked for my money back but they are ignoring emails and not answering calls. Please be very wary of any promises Boiler Central make. I am reporting to Trading Standards and having to seek legal advice to recover my money.
