Fishing in Faroe Island with Samson on his boat is like eating your preferred meal cooked by your mother After a long period away from home, it has no comparison and no price; you have to enjoy this moment with a nice man, knowledgable, on board a beautiful wooden boat in thé beautiful fjord of faroe

Samson is a very passionate and knowledgeable tour guide. He drove us around and showed us some of the most incredible and stunning places in the Faroe Islands. A “close encounter” with a puffin and whale watching were two highlights of our trip. I recommend Samson and his company to anyone who wants to experience an outdoor adventure in the Faroe Islands. I will always remember the time we spent together during that early August weekend. Thank you again, Samson.

Everything was arranged perfectly and timely. Samson is very helpful and knowledgeable. He has small local handcrafted wooden boat, which is well maintained. All safety precautions were taken. Very nice and personal approach. Hes program is not set in stone and he always takes into account customers wishes. He had hot drinks and snacks for us, which was the cherry on the cake.

We had a wonderful trip from Hvannasund with Samson. He is very knowledgeable captain, and prepared all the fishing gear for us. The first 6 fishes we caught were 6 different species: Red fish, cod, haddock, whiting, tusk and wolf-fish (!). Eventually we caught 13, but out from one of the fishes mouth, a sand-eel appeared, so at the end we caught 14 of which 7 different species 😀. After some good fishing, we ended up in a sea cave for a good lunch, and ended the trip with some nice conversations. Of all the things we did on the Faroe islands, this was by far the best experience, our sons of 15 and 17 even thought this was the best fishing experience they ever had, and I do not think this will be surpassed by anything we still have planned here. Many thanks to Samson for the really fantastic experience!

Excellent trip with an enthusiastic guide. Visited several caves and watched birds - and got quite a catch of haddock and one big cod (by me!). Highly recommended

The boat driver was extremely good and his lknoglege about the area and fishing. The equipments was in a perfect condition

I had the most amazing experience fishing with Samson! The scenery was utterly beautiful and I was lucky enough to catch a few fish as well. Overall a great day out and would highly recommend.

Had an amazing fishing trip and some sightseeing in Havannasund. I totally recomend this trip.

We loved the way Samson hosted the trip, how good he is at what he is doing. It was so much more than an fishing trip for us - we learnt about the Faroe Islands both history and modern life and wildlife. We also talked about life in general. So glad we choose Boat.fo instead of something else with a bigger boat just focusing on catching fish. With Boat.fo it was just how we like it!

We absolutely had a blast out in the fjord with Samson.
Fishing was amazing - we catched a lot fish.
Samson prepared everything for us and we even had a small meal with coffee while he was guiding us through the fjord and telling us stories about his childhood as he grew up there.

Afterwards we had dinner with Myrna and Kristian which also was very special.
They prepared small pieces of local food to try and then prepared the Fish we caught.
We felt very welcome, it felt more like being friends since we ate at their home.

Amazing winter fish trip; beautiful traditional boat and great catch :) good materials and education! Nice lunch+coffee! And communication was super!

We spent a marvellous day with Samson on his Faroese boat in Árnafjørður. Everything was perfectly prepared for us: floatation suits, boots, even coffee and snacks we enjoyed on the boat. Samson is a wonderful storyteller and he told us amazing stories about his family and about living on the Faroe Islands. We visited beautiful, unspoiled places, had coffee inside a grotto, drove Samson’s boat, caught a lot of fish, observed the puffins and had an astonishing view of the ocean, cliffs and hills all this time. This is definitely a must do when you’re visiting the Faroe Islands. We’ll definitely book another trip when we go there again.

Our time with Samson, our expert guide, on a 4 hour fishing trip was the highlight of our time in the Faroe Islands. We were well equipped for the adventure, including professional outerwear that kept us toasty for the trip. We saw many amazing landscapes from the water and visited a grotto as well. Samson provided a knowledgeable Faroese perspective on the area answering our many questions. Best of all we caught over a dozen Whiting, Cod and Haddock. We ate fresh fish for the next 3 nights! This was a very memorable experience for my husband and I-we could not be more enthusiastic!

If you’re looking for a unique experience in the Faroe Islands that will provide you with spectacular landscapes, stories of the locals and their culture, and the opportunity to catch a boatload of fish, booking a boat tour/fishing excursion should be at the top of your list! We connected with Samson, our boat captain/guide, a few weeks before our trip. He responded to our emails very quickly and left no questions unanswered. The day before our scheduled boat trip, Samson reached out by phone to make sure we were still meeting him for the tour. Our boat tour was in Árnafjørður and the scenery wasu like anything we had ever seen! Samson also provided an account of the history of this special place, including his own family’s history and ties to the area. We saw just about every kind of bird that migrates through the archipelago (yes, including Puffins), about a dozen seals playing in caves, and we also reeled in almost 2 dozen fish! This is an experience that i would recommend to anyone who is looking for some riveting memories of their time spent on and around the islands.
