Overcharged, followed by dishonest customer service

I booked a hotel in Lombok last month on Blue Pillow’s website. The amount that was charged to my credit card exceeded the amount on my invoice significantly, and I contacted customer service straightaway to report it. Since then, I have been sent in circles, ignored, and effectively stonewalled: eg they gave me the same canned response every few weeks, they asked me to provide screenshots of my invoice (which they had originally sent me??), and then a month later asked exactly the same thing, etc.
By now it is clear that they have no intention of rectifying this situation which is why I am writing this complaint. I don’t know if the original mistake was out of incompetence or outright malice, but their response has certainly been full of dishonesty since then.
Please heed others’ and my warnings and make your bookings on another travel platform.

Scam website! Do not contact them

Scam website!! Do not use them. The hotel never received the money. When you call them, they pretend being not responsible for payment and send you back to another number based in the uk but located in India. The uk number is then telling you to contact the Italian number and vice versa. Classic scam stuff. But the worst is that they sell your card number to other website, I got fraudulent charges for my 1000 euros.

You have purchased a pay at the hotel rate, so at the time of booking the amount of the reservation is verified on the card to block the availability, then the actual payment is made at the hotel.

Bluepillow is a price comparison site, we show the offers that are passed to us by our partners, most of the time the booking takes place on the site of the partner who passes us the offer.
I checked in our database and with your name and surname I can't find any bookings, if you want to give me your email I'll try to check if I can help you understand how your booking took place.
Probably the booking was made directly on the OTA website that showed you the most convenient price. Bluepillow simply showed you the most convenient rate to choose.

When it says free cancelation, it's actually NOT FREE.

I booked an accomodation in Australia through Blue Pillow with a condition of free cancelation.
I did cancelation within described time, but the bank transaction record displayed deduction from original payment.
When I reached the contact info from the website, they told me to make international calls to resolve the issue which won't be free.

I WILL NOT EVER use this site again and post this for others not to experience the same.

I've sent emails to the contact point of the homepage with all the details, and they know exactly what happened. They just asking me make an international call which is not free.
It's them who took my money for no reason and they want to take more of my time and money to resolve the issue.
For me, it just looks like a scam to make consumers get tired of dealing with their problem and go away which is very negative business practice.

Most likely a fake site to get paid clicks from more expensive hotel sites.

Pretends to have cheap hotel price and then claims it is sold out and directs you to another website at a dearer price.

When booking, the card is requested as a guarantee to make the reservation, then the actual payment takes place at the Hotel.
