Support is really, really great. Against the incredibly modest price they ask for premium, it's a steal. Easily 5 stars if it wasn't for a 3-months lingering bug in the desktop client where it's uncle... See more

Total Nightmare to set up

Total Nightmare to set up, you create a master password - then it decides to not accept it and it's 100% the password you just created 2 minutes prior - extension does not work on current password - so secure you can;'t even log in most of the time as Bitwarden has a mind of its own!

Second attempt one month after 1st and still a right FAFF.

A password manager that I use and…

A password manager that I use and recommend. Novice-friendly and very good even in the free version (no blackmailing policies).

For advanced users, I would recommend KeePass, but that is not what I'd call convnient for the "normal" people. :)

Nice reliable password manager

From my experience, Bitwarden is a nice, reliable password manager, and I would recommend it to you. I just use it for private use, and I am satisfied with it. I like it better than anything I have ever used. A nice bonus is that they aren't excessive with ads trying to get you to buy premium.

Beware Syncing BitWarden Authenticator with BitWarden PassWord Manager

All my authenication codes disapeared from the BitWarden Authenticator App when I synced with the Bitwarden Password Manager (after being prompted to sync by a pop up message the app). The codes didn't go into the password manager & I lost access to all of them. Bitwarden have no live chat which was not ideal, as this meant we had to email back & fouth about the issue ...which took days. In the end support were unable to help anyway.

CANNOT regain access to account

DO NOT purchase this app if you ever happen to lose or damage your phone and can't access the two-factor auth app that contains the authentication codes for the bitwarden site. This outfit CANNOT and WILL NOT help you regain access. You are basically SOL if you lose/damage your phone that had the two-factor authentication set up for the site. The only way out of it is to cancel you subscription and then delete all your data that exists. Totally unacceptable.

I’ve been using Bitwarden for several…

I’ve been using Bitwarden for several years. Its simple, user‑friendly interface and reliable sync across all devices let me sign in quickly without any extra hassle. The open‑source code on GitHub gives me confidence in the transparency and security of the vault. The free plan is enough for most users, and the paid plan is affordable, adding file encryption and priority support. I recommend it for its reliability, simplicity, and fair pricing.

Awful application

Awful application. I'm sure I enter the correct email and master-password, but it doesn't work. I lost all my passwords, delete this application from my phone and will never recommend anyone to use it. Spent a lot of time trying to log in... don't download this application!!! and don't trust them your information

No issues or complaints - It just works.

I've used bitwarden almost everyday since 2022 now and I've never had any issues. I'm on the free plan but it doesn't feel like it's limited.
I have quite a few different logins saved, slightly above 100, and it just works.
Maybe the look/UI can feel a little outdated sometimes, but that's it.
Never had any issues. It works as it should, and it does a really good job of it. 5/5

A basic feature is missing

A basic feature is missing: the sorting of the passwords. Paid users have requested that for many years, the devs have said many times it was in the works and soon released and they lied each and every time. The program is working well, but the usability is nowhere near its competitors because of that missing feature. After 7 years, the devs have not implemented a simple sort so that, for example, you can see the most recent passwords added or modified: indeed, you can't even do that!

Great Feature Rich Product

I have used Bitwarden for the past three years after switching from LastPass. I like the ongoing improvements including integration for OTP and most recently passkeys. I think the Bitwarden send is an under appreciated feature that I use weekly. Customer support is responsive and knowledgable. Only concern is the browser plug-in for Safari encounters issues but they are eventually addressed . This is only really an issue for Mac users but it can be annoying.

They don't care about their customer's voice

It used to be a good software until they introduced this stupid stupid "Fill" button and was deaf to all the outrage on reddit and did not revert it the first very day (and they didn't still).

I've cancelled five paid accounts because of that and I'm looking to move somewhere else.

We appreciate your feedback and understand your frustration. You can actually customize autofill behavior: Instead of the Fill button, you can set up your browser extension to autofill when selecting the vault item itself. Take a look at this resource: https://bitwarden.com/help/auto-fill-browser/
