Useless for me. I just want to play the itunes library I already have - including music I was happy to pay for and now own. Apple closed down itunes as it was not good for their greedy business mod... See more

Although they advertise lossless music it seems almost impossible to get it as it is not integrated steamers such as ones using BluOS. If you use Apple play via an iPhone you get a big sound quality... See more

Better sound quality/selection

I'll start with the only negative: it took 2 hours of calling and emailing customer service just to MAKE AN ACCOUNT in the first place, so they lose 2 stars just for that. (Srsly, don't make it so hard for people to give you their money!)

The positive: after that, it's been smooth sailing and the listening/interface is honestly superior to Spotify (which I've just left). I had no idea how much more there was to my fav tracks until I heard them in Lossless and Dolby. Like, layers of sound I couldn't hear before. It's been wonderful finally hearing things the way they were meant to be experienced. So, great job on that!

Such a unhelpful UI on iphone

Such a unhelpful UI on iphone. Theres no way to favourite radio stations on Iphone (this is a multi billion pound company btw) and theres no way for it to differentiate between 2 bands with the same name, they can just lump a heavy metal bands songs in with some jazz band just becasue they share the same name. Really poor in 2025

Apple Music.

Apple Music is probably the best streaming platform and let me tell you why. Audio quality is crisp and clear, even without lossless the quality is just highly standardised. The interviews and daily radio schedules are really the tip of the iceberg, and this isn’t really a critical aspect about it but I do love it because the hosts are able to share their tastes. Also DOLBY ATMOS — come on! Spotify does not have this, and yes I’ll be honest and say that some songs (cough, most) were and will be mixed in a way that Dolby ATMOS simply just hangs there like strong perfume that just suffocates, but on some songs it just elevates the experience and creates a new dimension(s) to songs that stereo isn’t able to do. It does have potential, that I’ll say however right now, I’m not really interested at all. And if you’re an audiophile, this is your calling. Lossless and hi-res resolution for me — for a lack of a better word — sharpened and polished the diamonds to really make the songs shine. All playlists are curated by editors, even though I barely listen to them regularly, but they are a great source of new discoveries. Unlike Spotify, not sure about Tidal and YouTube music but Apple Music, throughout the year gives you a playlist of your favourite songs so instead of simply giving you a report at the end of the year, you get an update every week and can revisit your “Replays” from the other years, which is pretty cool; and there milestones too like if you reached 50,000 minutes and stuff like that. The experience is very seamless, and in terms of visuals there’s cover artwork that moves (?) which is not necessary for me and I like that there’s a tab called (new) which shows all newly released music and updated playlists and for me it’s like going to the music store.

I only use apple music

I only use apple music. I'm also an artist on there.
I listen to a lot of my own stuff, and I tell them not to pay me but I make like $10 a month in streams. I just donate it to charity every time I Get paid. I listen to a ton of other artists too. Spotify, Youtube, all the other streaming services are wack. You don't have to pay me Apple! Stop paying me, and thanks for keeping my 89 albums live. Peace

Decided to cancel my subscription just last month.. I have multiple songs I’ve purchased from the iTunes Store with the exception of a previous subscription with Apple Music. But some how all of the purchased songs are somehow.. GONE. I call nonsense. May never use Apple Music again.

Shocking service.

Shocking service.
You'd think paying £11 a month you'd have some control over your own playlists.
But you don't. They (apple) just remove songs for no reason.
All in all. It's crap

Apple Music / ITunes VS Online security…

Apple Music / ITunes VS Online security Part 2

Extremely poor offline service.
Purchased / paid for Downloaded music / videos do not remain yours to keep forever. Some will disappear or won’t allow you play online or offline.

SOLUTION: after market Music Player buy direct from artist without switching online security off.

Wasted another $60 or more and 7hours or more trying to fix the issue of paid/purchased items disappearing.

I had to choose between my online safety (switch VPN off my Antivirus) or continue to lose purchased / paid for songs and videos when online with Apple Music / ITunes.

Decided download everything paid for in $ ($3000 or more) and switched off my VPN(as advised by Apple Support) to conduct the download. Several hours later after re-downloading(only have mobile internet) all my PAID ($3000 or more) except for 1 album and a song (that were no longer available in my country) I started to play some of the music. I went through my library and started to find that re-download items were missing.

I took Apple Music and iTunes offline looked through the paid for / purchased library items and found that some PAID / PURCHASED songs had “bullets” ( solid round dot) beside them and were greyed out and couldn’t be played unless online. Other items were just plain missing.

Basically some paid / purchased items were being held ransom to go online ( to be able to be played) to stream / others just stolen.

I had specifically purchased a IPad to use APPLE MUSIC so that I could play and listen to music / videos offline in areas with no mobile service. What a huge waste of money that was the IPad & APPLE MUSIC.

Well APPLE SUPPORT the VPN switching off didn’t work. Your advice (90% sure it will work after telling me initially 100% positive) was crap. Thanks for not mentioning about some songs / videos not being able to play offline. That was the salt in the wound.

When my Mac, IPhone and IPad need to be replaced in the future for my work / pleasure it definitely will not be with APPLE.

PS deleted ITunes /Muisc apps of the IPad. Not wasting further time or money for a crap service.

I had the app a few years ago

I had the app a few years ago. Before I joined apple claimed and bragged about their great sound quality and lossless this and lossless that. After I joined lossless didn’t work most of the time and then I found out that you need a physical converter to get lossless. So I just used basic high quality. Then it kept dropping and quit working completely. So I dropped Apple Music. Recently I rejoined thinking maybe they improved. Boy was I wrong. They got so much worse that as soon as I started to play a song I didn’t hear anything except my phone vibrating like it was possessed by the Martians 👽

Unfir for Purpose

Sorry to say but the App is fraught with bugs.

While driving using CarPlay I press the 'play' button, but it doesn't play, just reverts to the 'pause' button.

Intermittent but dangerous as my attention gets diverted.

While driving I can't afford to mess round.

The App on my Mac won't let me upload new music to my library.

I'll be cancelling.

They are trying to force me to pay for an Apple Music subscription

They are trying to force me to pay for an Apple Music subscription I foolishly accepted a free subscription to Apple Music which I don’t want to continue with because I can’t access my old music. All my music downloaded over years from various sources ( except iTunes) has disappeared & now I don’t even have access to the purchased music on my Apple TV. I asked about this before accepting the subscription & was assured my music would be safe. I cannot access any music on my Apple TV from the music app. It tells me I have to subscribe. How dare the company steal my music and tell me mistruths.

Biggest Scam

I’ve been downloading iTunes music for over 20 years and all of a sudden, because Apple wants to force its subscription on us, I have no access to my purchased material on any device in any way unless I sign up to their scammy subscription. That’s called theft, but I guess you can get away with it if you’re rich like Apple. From now on, I’m BOYCOTTING APPLE and I encourage you to, as well.
