I Lost What Love I Had Left For Apple In October

I ditched Apple Music a few years ago. It worked fine for two years, then suddenly it stripped all the information from over 2,000 of my tracks. Nothing but "untitled", unknown album, unknown, unknown, unknown.

Six hours over two days with Apple tech led to nothing. I discovered I knew more about the system than he did. So, in frustration I cancelled the subscription and then suddenly all the track information returned!

Come to find out, if Apple Music doesn't recognize your tracks, it does that. I was a sound artist and I collected hundreds of public domain material and recordings from the beginning of the 20th century. Well, of course Apple Music didn't know about anything like that, and so it didn't recognize it. But rather than leave what it didn't know alone, it just made them unusable. Really? Is that what I paid Apple for?

Now that all their consumer based machines are no long user upgradeable, nor upgradeable beyond purchase by Apple, I am not buying any more Apple anything. I'm no groupie, but I did make the mistake of becoming one of their apologists. But no more. Apple is just a multinational corporation and cares about what other multinational corporations do. Being the biggest, dominate, and wealthiest in their industry and others.

I've been using Apple products since 1988. I loved Apple in ways I cannot express, until things started changing roughly ten or so years ago. Now, the greed is so bad, and they're pushing and forcing users into becoming walking ATMs, that I hate Apple. I shouldn't have to subscribe to this, or pay for iCloud that, just to get the systems to function properly. You can't off load your books library to an external drive since before Catalina, you have to subscribe to Apple Music for your HomePod to play your own library as it won't pull it from your desktop via Wi-Fi, and they told nobody this when they first marketed the thing until there was enough of a howl, that it now appears in small print in their ads.

And Siri? Alexa blows Siri back into the previous century. I once thought Siri was all that until I experienced a friend's Alexa on just his phone. Oh, my stars! I couldn't believe the difference. Siri is as dumb as a box of rocks, that all she can do is tell me the time, the weather, and be a timer for when I am baking a cake. That's it. She can't even hold a signal to drive music from Airplay from my desktop through Wi-Fi long enough to be useful. She drops signals like rain.

If you ask Siri a question that she need only read from the web, she'll tell you to log in to your phone. Really? For that, I would have done that in the first place. So, the HomePod with Siri is nothing. Just a great big nothing.

All of these things are artificial limitations put into place to force us into continual revenue streams because it isn't enough that their machines cost a fortune. And who cares if they come in every color of the rainbow? Really? I want a computer, not a decorative element for my bedroom. Nor do I care that it is thin enough to blow away. Don't build it that way so you can use it as an excuse to keep its users from upgrading the RAM or SSD's down the road. If I had the choice as to what is considered more important in computing, its vast array of colors and thinnes is not one of them.

The Apple we once knew and loved died with its original creator Steve Jobs. Now its a greedy, arrogant, beast that takes the attidude that if something isn't working for you than its because its your fault OR you need to go and buy a new system. And yes, when you talk with them, that is their offered solution. They will tell you with a smile as if it is a viable and authentic solution, that If something isn't working for you, then you need to purchase a newer or larger Apple computer. In simple terms...GFY Apple. No More.

Service completely stopped working on…

Service completely stopped working on my iPhone. Nothing would load other than my library, but it would refuse to play any music when I pressed play.

As well as this, I’d noticed it was deleting my music at random. Rather annoying when I’m on the train.

I got in contact with Apple Support to let them know my issues, I mentioned at the end that I expected a refund of that month’s fee because I hadn’t received the service I’d paid for. The response I got was a refund was on its way & that they’d cancelled my subscription.

Quite shocking to think they weren’t interested in improving their platform, or fixing the bugs, and would rather palm me off - a customer for over a year now

Safe to say I won’t be using Apple Music again any time soon

I use Apple Music and have home pods around the house…

I use apple home pods around the house Siri often tells me there’s a problem with Apple Music . It’s so unreliable. All my music is on Spotify but apple will only let me run Spotify from my iPhone and not locally on the HomePods, which then disconnects when you walk around the house. Not happy at all

What a con

What a con! Tying people to a monthly subscription on threat of deleting all the music downloaded. Nothing more than a protection racket. I would never spend £10.99 on new music every month, so why would I tie myself to paying Apple that much? In addition to all the Apple ‘improvements’ or bugs as I call them, Steve Jobs must be turning in his grave.

Too High Or Too Low

I am a blogger who writes reviews about any company. I have used Apple Music for more than a week now. I have words to say about it.

I have noticed with Apple Music that when customers listen to songs, I realized that the volume changes a bit with every song that plays. I am not sure what this is about.

I know with one song, I could tell it sounded different when I use to play it before. I have pretty good hearing about it.

Did you notice the little transition to towards an end of a song?. I am not a fan of that either. I like it better if the song finishes, then goes to the next song.

What I like about this membership is that I can find most songs, but apparently I could not find two songs. That was a surprise to me.

Although they advertise lossless music it seems almost impossible to get it as it is not integrated steamers such as ones using BluOS. If you use Apple play via an iPhone you get a big sound quality drop. High quality audio is needed for classical music. I don’t want Dolby Atmos. I want decent stereo sound. Very frustrating an annoying

Spotify is better.

Where do I start with apple music first off I am using a android phone with the apple music app. Second it is really slow and half the time the app crashes and I have to press on my phone close app or wait for app. Ok the sound quality on loseless is better then Spotify I have been a Spotify user for about 5 years. A friend in work told me about apple music and I thought I will give it a try for 30 days. First day I was listening to some music my usual go to albums Metallica master of puppets and ...and justice for all. And I was like wow this sounds amazing. But trying to search for songs when music is playing is impossible because the home screen just buffers for ages. The only way I can get back to the home screen is stop the music close down the app and restart the app. Now I have to do this every time I want to change song or album. And when I do get the app working again. I select a song and I have to wait for it to buffer before it even starts playing a song. I am using WiFi at home with 40 download and 10 upload. This should be enough to play music surely. I have no problem with Spotify playing on my home Wi-Fi or use my mobile data so why is Apple music any different. I did try to play some music on mobile data in Cardiff with 5g right in the middle of Cardiff and the music still took 30 to 40 seconds to play. I was using mobile saver streaming quality settings as well not loseless. I found using apple music the most frustrating service I have ever used. The icing on the cake for me was when I tried to find my usual podcasts I listen to on Spotify. The China show and darko audio podcast. I typed these into the search bar and no apple music didn't have them. I am totally disappointed with the service and when my 30 days are up in 5 days I will not be coming back. I will stick with Spotify thanks.

Apple Music for Artists is embarrassing

I'm reviewing Apple Music for Artists, not the actual Apple Music.

The service is terrible, from the complicated, messy and lacking UI, to the poor customisation option, to the bugs that often occur and the terrible customer service.

Both times I contacted it (Shontay and Ruby) I received random templates as answer, without them trying to actually help me at all. Of course there's no chat nor call option.

Apple Music has gone rotten

The sound quality is poor, very artificial sounding and it’s hard to pick out detail. By comparison, Prime music is £2 a month cheaper if you’re a member and sounds significantly better in my view. More detail in instruments and vocals, much better positional audio. It is night and day better for sound quality.

Kinda annoying

Whenever I am listening to songs, sometimes the app will just freeze and will not let me play any songs. I have tried different ways to get around this bug, but usually end up having to refresh the app which is super annoying and sometimes a little bit time consuming.

Refund policy needs reviewed!

Subscription not eligible for refund within the first day of purchase. Unused and the purchase was unintended, so how can this be non-eligible? Apple have blatant disregard for consumer rights and their customer service to request a refund is a fully automated system with no access to a person to speak to.

Why is it so hard to give appple music…

Why is it so hard to give appple music a review, cause they are liberal, communist, own you mf. I don’t write reviews, don’t have time, but Apple Music popped on my phone with a song I wanted to hear, click it, need money. YouTube said sure will play it for you, how has apple come to the desperate measure of charging good Americans to hear a song that is free… I’m frustrated, iPhone is gone tomorrow, back to Korean Samsung, and that’s sad.., Who knows though they probably make iPhones in china, idk. Don’t let these libs get you, next thing you will be dying your hair purple, talking alligators rights to compete in dog shows…

NOT VERY GOOD FOR CARPLAY !

For your car, Apple Music 'lossless' is a complete waste of time and is nowhere near as good as Spotify - partly perhaps because it's been designed for a fixed plugged-in playback and it doesn't stream very well. You can lower the streaming quality with it, but if you want to do that, you might as well use Spotify as it's cheaper and arguably has a much more user-friendly interface,
