We had windows from Alufold in 2021. Ordered via a loft conversion company. There were issues with the order at the time, such as who no handles and no glass frosting etc. they were rectified with no quibble but did seem sloppy errors.
The window in the bathroom never closed properly really, we wondered if it was just stiff and would get better. But it didn’t. I contacted them this year to enquire about the warranty as felt it was actually a manufacturing problem and not fitting. Initially the response was that it was 4 years ago can’t be manufacturing now etc. when I explained it was always like this. And in fact we rarely opened the window so age wasn’t the cause as no use they asked me to send a few pictures. I sent and also videoed the mechanism. After that they have been amazing - really helpful. A direct contact name and email who knew my case. They arranged an engineer at their cost to attend and review. He knew what it was immediately (manufacturing error wrong size arm for hinge) and fixed it in a morning. They then called me the same day to check all was well and I was happy. And offered me to contact them if any further issues. So despite a few bumps the resolution of my issue was prompt polite and professional.

Items were damaged by the delivery driver, Alufold have refused to give us the company details and have refused to replace the broken glass unless the customer pays for it. Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Will be going to trading standards and the ombudsman stay well clear of this company

We ordered 10 windows for a development, the delivery date was delayed and we were not informed so had guys on site with nothing to do. Some missing items including a pane of glass which Alufold wouldn't replace as it wasn't discovered within 72 hours.
The gaskets were not cut to length just pushed into the frame so all had to be trimmed inside and out.

This was my first time dealing with Alufold, but I’ve purchased many windows and doors in the past, so I decided to give them a try. Since I wasn’t able to see the products beforehand, clear and prompt communication was essential—and Alufold delivered. I worked with Emma, who was incredibly responsive and couldn’t have been more helpful.

I placed a deposit just before Christmas, and two weeks later, after paying the balance, my windows were shipped. I ordered two tilt-and-turn windows with triple glazing, and they arrived safely, complete with all accessories. I installed them myself, and aside from one window sticking slightly in the corner, everything worked perfectly. I was able to adjust the frame myself without needing assistance from Alufold, so it wasn’t an issue.

Not only was the quality on par with any other windows I’ve purchased, but the pricing was also competitive. I’ll definitely be buying from them again. It’s rare to find a company that provides both excellent service and a high-quality product—well done, Alufold! You have a happy customer.

DO NOT BUY from Alufold. We spent over 25k on our windows and doors after visiting the factory ourselves and being sold the dream! They have cause so much stress and upset to us whilst building our house!

Myself and my husband are still dealing with them 8 months on after being told they could have our windows ready in 6 weeks!

In total we have had the same 12 window/doors sent three times, 2 windows sent twice, beading sent four times, gasket sent three times. One set of doors have been resent 5 times! All because the measurements have been out or they have arrived shattered!

Obviously we have had to organise and pay for a window fitter to install, and when they resend the windows which are triple glazed they only send one person to lift them off the truck! My husband used to explain because of all the delays/mistakes that no one would be there to receive the windows (at this point the builders had stop work) however they would send there workmen to site, one even asking me, who was heavily pregnant to help!

This is no exaggeration we must of called them 50 times and emailed more, they never call you back when they say they will. Everyone is always in a meeting or at lunch.

They were the only company we dealt with who made this build hell!

On the day we visited a director was quick to shake our hands and welcome us, after all of our trouble not once we're we contacted by a senior manager!

I wish we would of read the reviews beforehand.......the office staff seem completely used to unhappy customers showing little care or taking responsibility.

We want to warn others do not use them in every way we can.

Tammy was a really great help from start to finish with the ordering process. We’ve not had delivery of our windows and roof lights yet but if the products turn out to be as great as Tammy has been then we will be happy!

An absolute pleasure to deal with. Tammy is always so responsive and gets the job done fast and efficiently. We always use Alufold for our windows as their quality is amazing. If there is a problem (which isn't often) it is dealt with the same day. Highly recommend this company (ask for Tammy!)

I cannot stress enough how disastrous my experience with AluFold has been. These doors are an absolute nightmare. It took three fully qualified tradesmen to even attempt installing them, and even then, they couldn’t be properly fitted due to the appalling quality. The doors are shockingly flimsy, full of panel gaps, and the glass doesn’t even fit correctly. I was left with a product that looked cheap, unstable, and was completely unfit for purpose – all at a significant cost (c£5,500) plus almost £2,000 in labour to install them!

The situation was so bad I had no choice but to escalate matters directly to Rachel Green, the Director, with several strongly worded emails just to get any sort of response. After all the hassle, they eventually sent an engineer to correct the shoddy installation. But frankly, the product is still substandard, and I’ll never trust or use this company again.

Save yourself the time, money, and frustration – AluFold’s products and customer service are beyond unacceptable. DO NOT BUY from this company!

Alufold have cost us thousands by not supplying products to spec- as confirmed a few times by email-Fully Factory Glazed and with factory Cut Astragal Bars ready fitted as they promised- I didn't want to get to the mess I am now in-they sent the frames and glass seperate- WITH NO ASTRAGAL BARS IN SIGHT!
We had to fit the windows as per contract-so other trades could plaster and paint the reveals-ALUFOLD then sent a load of bits of bar a week later, about 250-300 unmarked bits! but still not enough!)-not scribed-and oversize-I was told to cut them on site-imagine fitters measuring and cutting bits- traipsing all over a 2 million pound property!-not taped (half the tape came later with more untaped bars in lengths-untaped
They then told me the bars are to be cut-stuck on and Black silicone applied around them! Job is still ongoing now-customer is a retired builder who doesn't want silicone applied to glass and aluminium-we used Duration Windows previously but their delivery was 10 weeks-which would be about now and job would be paid for and finished-if they were delivered as any professional- or even a layman -would expect from a competent caring business? Or am I old fashioned?

Louie was extremely helpful today and efficient explaining the various options. He was very knowledgeable on all of the products and left us leaving with confidence. It was an extremely clean and professional set up in Blackburn.

I had two external tilt and turn doors fitted in my house in Belfast, and found Alufold and Graham, their Northern Ireland representative, to be excellent from start to finish. Graham has been out to France to measure up and specify for windows and doors in a ski apartment. He has meticulously taken me through the best profiles for the job, and has explained the issues around specially adapted glazing for properties at altitude. Both he, and Rhodri, from the Blackburn office, have been really helpful and have left no stone unturned in arriving at the best technical package for the job. I will use them again and can fully recommend their products and services.

We had bifold doors fitted about 6 years ago which have a 10 year guarantee.. recently, a few of the seals have come loose and they seem specific to the doors.
I've tried to contact Alufold more than once, sending emails with pictures as well as trying to call... no reply or help whatsoever.

They used to be quite good, maybe a change of ownership?

I have had an ongoing issue from the very start with my bi fold doors from this company. The glass is marked and have had the glass supply company out who agree. The doors leak whenever it rains leaving massive puddles in my kitchen.
I have emailed and called for 2 years, with no resolve, nobody ever gives me the promised call or email back.
I have never written a review before but I am my wits wnd with this.
