Worst Insurance Experience Ever

Worst Insurance Experience Ever! So Bad i would say its criminal.
Never ever book a Travel Insurance with AIG!
I had insurance on a Rental car booked with Expedia, had a car accident, the police determined it wasnt my faul.
1.) Filing insurance claims with AIG is the biggest nightmare, they make it as hard as possible to talk to a human being and when you actually get to one its some support person who has no clue and only tells you to wait. On Average it took 4 weeks for them to reply everytime I had a question. Meanwhile the third party insurance paid almost immediatly.

2.) Why should i pay anything at all if it wasnt my fault?
Even tho the accident was not my fault, AIG tried as hard as they could to get out of paying anything.
After waiting for almost a half a year, they payed me out 240 dollars, leaving an additonal 300 for me to pay out of pocket.
On top of all this they took off 150,- of the amount they were paying me out for Administrative fees, paying themselfs from my money, event tho they did the worst job ever!

Dont ever use AIG you will be left in the Dust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AIG will never see another Dime from me again!!!!!!
I will make sure no one close to me or any of my Business Partners ever have to deal with this and will always strongly advise to not rely on any AIG services!

Thank you AIG for the worst customer service ever!!!!

AIG / COREBRIDGE --- HORRIBLE!

Again, if 0 stars was a rating, that's what AIG would get! I recently became the sole trustee for my family trust which includes an Aig annuity after my elderly Mom resigned. I have been trying for a week to get me added to the documents. I have completed their stupid forms, sent all kinds of legal documents and they REFUSE to allow me access or even change the mailing address! Now they are telling me the "tax ID" number I submitted doesn't match their paperwork. I can't seem to get them to understand that it doesn't match because my Dad died 8 years ago!!! What a bunch of losers! My mom has doesn't have enough income to keep her going for long and she is going to need this money soon. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM! THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

This is a worthless waste of money

This is a worthless waste of money. Please pay attention to all these reviews, they exist for a reason. Too many lawyers and too much BS to navigate, it won’t cover you for anything out of your control. I can’t believe they are still in business!

This company is an outright scam

This company is an outright scam! I literally was evacuated because of a hurricane that destroyed the whole area and they said they would cover only $300 which covered only one night at one hotel we had to stay at. They just left out the rental car to evacuate, the additional rooms, etc.... Now I'm fighting with them and the adjuster says "we only cover one room and if you don't like it you can contact the state" WHAT? are you kidding me? After further investigation, she never reviewed the entire case or saw all the other receipts.

AIG will never pay out your claim. Their customer service is downright horrendous. I used them for every trip for the last 12 years (multiple trips a year) and never needed them. The one time I do, they're rude, unhelpful, and just refusing to pay. By their own admission, my bills qualify and they say too bad. They don't care because what am I going to do about it? STAY AWAY

Sadly, I used AIG for trip insurance in…

I used AIG for trip insurance in October of 2022. The night before my husband and I were to travel, I found out that my Father was terminally ill and I as his P.O.A. was needed at his care facility the next day to sign the papers for his admittance to hospice. No amount of information, medical records, or death certificate supplied was suffice enough for this scam company to refund our trip. Such a disgrace.

Not that anyone reads these reviews for…

Not that anyone reads these reviews for anything but entertainment and we all know that all service companies are equally bad and reviews have absolutely no impact on business revenues because we only read them after we have had a horrible experience. Nevertheless, I am so sick of companies outsourcing to the Philippines who cannot really ever understand or address issues. The other issue I have is that although you can update or add beneficiaries online, they will send you much longer paperwork to do so. Why? Absolutely no reason other than the paperwork is much less convenient and asks you to repeat the same information ad nauseum.

There, another pointless review that AIG couldn't care less about but allows me to vent.

Utterly disgusting experience

We had private health insurance which AIG was the underwriter. Unfortunately a family death occurred and was just outside the 45 days and so they declined to offer any financial support which was a nightmare at the hospital as this occurred abroad. The days following AIG continued to call and sell us repatriation services which was utterly disgusting and we felt they were being very pushy. Overall a terrible experience with a company that showed little compassion or understanding!! Stay clear of them for your insurance needs.

AIG UTTER NIGHTMARE

Unethical, untrustworthy, incompetent, disrespectful, fraudulent?

Months trying to get them to honour Ultra straightforward Excess Insurance claim for small scratch on my Onto Subscription car

I settled Onto's invoice in advance, many months ago - AIG / Insurance 4carhire have requested ludicrous levels of evidence initially..then have deliberately prevaricated, procrastinated and deliberately tried to wind up and cause customer most stress, presumably til they go away..

They even refuse to accept officially receipted invoice from Subscription company - including direct contact from senior management..

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

They would not honor an appliance extended warranty

I had an extended warranty for my whirlpool range from AIG. The appliance either would not heat up or indicated a temperature that was way above (200+ degree above) the actual temperature. Although this happened intermittently, it happened often enough (every couple of days or so when we used the oven). AIG refused to send someone out because they claimed that the problem had to be reproducible when the technician is out and also that the problem was not a functional problem. And they said that this condition was in the contract. To me it was a completely horrible excuse to avoid honoring a contract which was meant to repair an appliance when they no longer function as they should be. How can an oven that was 200 degree below be considered a functional appliance? And do I have to wait until the oven absolutely would not heat up until I can have it fixed? What if the oven stays this way for month and years? How can you cook bread and pastries with random temperatures? DO NOT BUY ANY EXTENDED WARRANTY CONTRACT FROM AIG. Any honorable company would have tried to fix it for me. It was most likely a problem with the temperature sensor. And they could have sent someone out to replace it even if it happens to be a 'good oven day' when the technician comes.

AIG is a scam

AIG is a scam. 100% refund for flight cancellation, not paid. Rescheduled flight left me in DC for 2 days. They paid 60% of hotel bill and partial wages lost. They paid zero meal expense even though that was "covered" in the policy too. A total ripoff.....a total scam. Don't get duped by these crooks.

Run away. They're scam. Works with expedia who also is very untrustworthy.
I bought a flight ticket and got notice of flight changes which did not fit my schedule so I canceled. Expedia gave me a voucher for the amount ill rather get my money instead. Filed a claim with AIG and they only gave me 10% of my money.

TRAVEL INSURANCE FROM AIG not worth the price, effort, and headache

We had a problem is with the travel insurance, AIG, which Travelocity sells. AIG makes false claims which suggest that ALL losses will be covered, but they do "everything" NOT TO cover. Our cellphone was stolen during our trip to Barcelona, Spain. We got the police report, phone invoice, etc., and were expecting FULL coverage from the insurance. AIG wanted us to bring documents from our home insurance (?!) in the US. Then they said they only cover "up to" $200 for an Iphone valued $1100 !!. They sent several "fine prints" stating that their lousy insurance is only an "extension" to your HomeOwners' Coverage, and would give us a fraction for our loss. So, TRAVEL INSURANCE FROM AIG not worth the price, effort, and headache.

I have had many problems with AIG in…

I have had irritating problems with AIG in messing up my withdrawal check. Firstly I signed paperwork to have the funds transmitted via direct deposit which they managed to totally mess up by claiming they spoke to my bank who they claimed said my account was not recognized although it is a current and active account! They then mailed me a check without even notifying me of the issue about my direct deposit that did not go through. The check got lost as it was not overnighted. I had to check with AIG and rectify this. Now I'm awaiting a supposed overnighted reissued check for my funds. And all of this has cost me at least two weeks of interest and unnecessary stress. Thus, I do not recommend doing business with AIG. And if you need a funds withdrawal asap you may be out of luck!

Scam

I subscribed to their travel insurance before my trip to Cambodia and as soon as I arrived there I tested positive. I contacted AIG to inform them of the situation and ask if they were gonna cover any of the fees of the quarantine and agreed that a part of it will be covered (accommodation and meals). When I got back home I claimed the money that they were supposed to refund me. One of their employee got back to me after a while claiming that my situation was not covered by the insurance I subscribed to, even though 1 month earlier someone from AIG told me the exact opposite.... I would advice any prospective customers to run away from this insurance company they scam you and never pay what they owe you!
