Absolutely dreadful experience with Adexa Catering Supplies. They sent us the wrong item and then expected us to arrange and pay to return their mistake ourselves. Despite repeated attempts to contact customer service, we could barely get through to anyone, and when we did, no meaningful help was offered.
You sit waiting on the online chat for what feels like forever, only for nobody to connect. Their email address is a “no reply” account, so you cannot respond directly, and there is no customer service phone number available at all. It is almost impossible to contact a real person.
They refused to collect the incorrect item, would not dispatch the correct product, and made the entire process unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming. We have requested a refund, but communication has been virtually non-existent throughout.
Very poor customer service from start to finish. I would strongly advise avoiding this company and ordering elsewhere.
We bought an electric griddle
We bought an electric griddle. On the whole it is as you would expect apart from the drip tray - the new design is easy to knock off (we did it twice in one day) and rubbish to empty (pours oil everywhere). Something to consider when buying one. The base edge is razor sharp so watch your hands when cleaning :-)
Extremely poor customer service & refusal to honour basic obligations
I recently placed an order for catering equipment from Adexa Direct, and upon opening and fitting the items just 2 days after delivery, I discovered that essential mounting brackets were missing from the package.
When I contacted them to request the missing parts, I was told they have an internal policy requiring missing items to be reported within 24 hours — and because I was only one day late according to this rule, they refused to send what I had paid for.
I have checked their website thoroughly and this 24‑hour limit does NOT appear anywhere in their published terms, conditions or delivery policy. It is a rule they appear to have made up internally, never communicated to customers, and now use as an excuse to avoid their responsibilities.
As a busy school site, we receive many deliveries every single day. It is completely unrealistic and unreasonable to expect every single item to be unpacked, checked and verified within 24 hours — yet they refused to show any flexibility or common sense.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be supplied complete and as ordered. The parts were missing before they left their warehouse — this is not our fault — yet they offered only a small refund or voucher (which we did not want or need) and then escalated to a flat refusal when we challenged them.
When I pointed out that their “policy” does not actually exist and that they are breaking basic consumer law, their response was simply: “there is nothing further I can do as the spare parts team have rejected the request”.
This is terrible service, very poor business practice, and shows complete disregard for customers’ legal rights. We will not be ordering from Adexa Direct again, and I would strongly advise others to think twice — if something is missing or wrong with your order, they will do everything they can to avoid fixing it.

Ordered 2 fridges from this incompetent company, opened it and the door is hanging off, when you try and contact them they tell you that they accept no responsibility as it’s signed for, so if you are stupid enough to order from them, try and get the delivery driver to wait why you open it all up and inspect it thoroughly as they will not help unless you do this absolute criminals

Ordered a Mobile bar. £300. Delivery policy quite specific, be in all day, sign for package, do not sign until u packed or you can't claim on warranty etc. My package was left on my doorstep in the rain, damaged packaging, soaking wet. No help from customer service. Rude, unprofessional, lack of respect. Will not return for further purchases. Not happy.
