Ableworld are the largest mobility retailer in the country and believe this is because we genuinely care about our customer’s well-being. We employ professional, caring and knowledgeable staff to work in our stores, and provide quality mobility aids at value for money prices.
We pride ourselves on being an ethical trader who will not pressure sell items and if we feel a product should have an assessment we will not sell these online, as we want to ensure our customers that they are getting the right product for their needs, not just the most expensive mobility aid.
Our stores stock all types of mobility aids, including Mobility Scooters, Walkers, Powerchairs, Bathing Aids and Stairlifts. You can be assured that in all of our stores we provide the same caring approach to looking after our customers, and the same range of quality mobility aids.

As one would exspect, the site was effective and selection simple.
I would have been better to attend the branch , in future I would choose this option as I made an error with the size I ordered! Staff in branch effected change for correct size and fitted them. Thank you
Very friendly and explained everything professionally. I bought an Drive electric folding scooter. Everything was explained. Very welcoming friendly manager. I never felt pressured into buying it. Would recommend to go and see them for what you need.
My elderly mum was looking for her first mobility scooter so we visited Ableworld in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Emma, Sarah, snd the store manager there were absolutely brilliant. They were outstandingly helpful, patient, and caring. I'd give this store my wholehearted recommendation.

This is the second time I have had to use Ableworld in a matter of weeks. This time I needed a stair lift urgently for my parents.
The service we received exceeded my expectations. Firstly a thank you to Bridget for arranging a visit swiftly from Paul, who knows everything there is to know about stairlifts and I was so pleased that he was the one installing it too. I wasn’t able to be there for the installation but he spent time ensuring they knew how to work it safely.

If you are considering purchasing a Warranty from Ableworld, please be aware that if the battery fails, they will try to tell you that there is an extra charge of £55 to replace the battery. On two occasions when I queried this I was told the charge would stand, and when I said it wasn't detailed anywhere on their literature or website the reply was 'yes, lots of people say that' !
This however is against trade descriptions, as nowhere on their leaflet or website does it say that a battery replacement costs extra. The annual Bronze package costs around £250 so why doesn't it include the battery?
I simply want to ensure that elderly vulnerable people are not conned into paying extra for something that is included under their Ableworld Warranty, which clearly says 'parts and labour charges'.
Other than this, we would have given a 5* rating so come on AbleWorld - get your act together and don't rip off vulnerable people with extra charges that aren't legal!

From moment entering Ableworld Paisley and being welcomed by Heather to the completion of purchase of a Maybury recliner chair by Sadiq’s and Jacky the experience was nothing short of extreme professionalism. Thanks to the brilliant team that made our shopping so enjoyable we look forward to the next step of receiving chair.

Neither Jeff nor Dean batted an eyelid when I, my partner and my 6ft 4" mobility restricted dad rocked up without an appointment in their Southampton store in urgent need of a wheelchair. Within the hour we had a folding model which comfortably accommodated my dad's height and fitted in the back of our car. As a carer, I am more used to anticipating problems nowadays so professionalism and know-how are appreciated.

Recently had need for a new mobility trolley for my sister. Popped into our local Ableworld in Shrewsbury knowing very little about what we needed. The expert assistant manager Mark took excellent care and concern in finding out what out needs exactly were, and finding us the right low weight trolley for my sisters needs. they even took our old broken and dilapidated trolley for scrapping. We are all very happy with the new purchase and look forward to dealing with them in the near future.

Wigan staff Peter and Julie today was so invested in getting it right for my brother to suit his disability and to get the best out of a bed. The service from start to finish was absolutely first class.
It was a unique service that has been missing in today's experience shopping. Great knowledge and happiness, fun and care. Thank you to you both, all needs sorted and in a perfect time . Couldn’t do enough. Great experience x

Ok went to look at a scooter that was available to hire over Easter so the wife could join me out and about as at the moment her mobility is severely limited and she ends up waiting for me in the car so I end up not seeing things that I want to see hence the wish to hire a scooter due to wanting to visit beamish museum. That’s the background of the visit that I hope will help explain the review. Quality of life for us both not just the wife was going downhill and I really didn’t want to get to Beamish for her to say no she doesn’t want to hire a scooter as she has been fighting against the idea of using one for at least 2 years. We were looked after and I mean LOOKED AFTER by Andrea and Julie. We were introduced to and the she had a test drive of the scooter that was for hire and the penny finally dropped that a scooter at this moment is a requirement. So at this point it’s now turning to buy not hire. So now Andrea and Julie are helping with their knowledge of what suits our requirements out of a very good selection of choice and she has a drive of a few others that are for sale not hire. It’s at this point the Mrs has a bit of a moment at the realization that she can’t go on fighting against her needs and that a mobility aid such as a scooter is a requirement to improve both of our quality of life. Due to this moment they sat her down and sorted her out and made her a cup of tea reassured her and and gave her time to compose herself. She is now the proud owner of a scooter and i know that’s going to to make a dramatic difference to us getting out and about. So thank you Andrea and Julie for your help your compassion and your understanding and support today

We've been trying to get a recliner armchair that would fulfil my needs for a while and actually bought a Lazyboy suite that was supposed to be chiropractor recommended but was eventually just making things worse. We went into Ableworld in Wigan hoping they could help and they were marvellous, within minutes Julie had found the perfect match for my back support. All the differing positions of what I needed moved independently supporting me in all the right areas, the colour we wanted wasn't in stock and they said it would take 2 weeks to be delivered. 1 week later they rang to say it was ready. the chair was delivered yesterday and it is magnificent. Fits me like a glove.
Julie and Peter couldn't have done more for us. While Julie was showing me different chairs and discovering what I really needed, Peter was busy phoning people to get the chair on order and get one on the way as soon as possible. They really helped to make us feel welcome and showed how the main point of focus was to fulfil our needs.

There was a problem with the delivery and as I needed the item fairly urgently I had to cancel the order and had my money returned
