When seeking a service of some description my approach is to identify a local provider who has a reputation to maintain or build. Beyond that I look for a business that will engage with me as an individual and that seeks to understand my specific needs of the service. On that basis I would strongly recommend Emerald Ritter Surveying Services Ltd. for anyone in need of a comprehensive survey of a property they wish to buy.
Rather than communicate through a largely generic E-mail as others did Neil took the time to talk to me on the telephone for over 30 minutes during my initial contact with him regarding a level 3 survey I wished performed on an older property. Post survey, again over the telephone, Neil took me through each of his many findings step by step explaining the significance of each in the context of established best practise. In the event, Neil's explanations guided me to abort the purchase as there were clearly very significant and long term consequences for me had I continued with the purchase.

At ERSS, we uphold traditional values, and the notion of using email for all responses to individuals does not align with our principles.
The use of a telephone can be considerably more efficient and expeditious than composing lengthy messages, and as you are well aware, the findings were significant, which would have incurred substantial costs for repairs.
