NOT 5* by any measure.. 3* at best!
Lindos Imperial Resort & Spa. Rhodes, Kiotari. This huge hotel is VERY tatty/tired. The chain 'claim' it is a 5* resort on the Lindos chain sight, as does the Hotel sign. Jet2 say 4*+ BUT it is 3* at best.
We had a Suite with private pool, for 1 week, costing 6mths of my salary for it! not worth even half that. The shower & cubical were mouldy, wires uncovered and hanging off things, the bed headboard was broken and the covering was all hanging off. The word 'suite' means - 'many rooms' meaning areas with doors/privacy. The '2nd bedroom' is directly in from the main entrance door, with a sofa bed just in the open lounge area, so not private at all.
The main door has a 2 light system for 'clean my room/do NOT disturb' YET 3 times it was on 'do not disturb' BUT the cleaner walked straight in 'no knocking' twice my son was getting changed and a 3rd time he was still in bed.. Hence why it was on 'do not disturb' a JOKE! so rude of her.
We could not access our room until 4pm, even though it was supposed to be 3pm. as we had been up from 2am it was not good enough.
AI have 3 x A la carte restaurants meals, but on accessing the App on arrival (they don't grant access until check-in) there was zero availability all week. the Jet2 rep told us we needed to book earlier! all at the meeting complained but the Rep just said "you need to book earlier' We complained to Guest relations and he first said there was nothing, we argued 'not good enough, we need a manager' then he got us in 2 of the 3!! HOWEVER, on going to the Mexican restaurant at 8pm only 3 tables out of 15 had guests at them!!! I took photos as proof to complain! absolutely a JOKE!
Then the 2nd one was the Steak house, table booked at 8.30pm and we got our food at 9.45pm!!!!!!! they closed at 10pm Crazy. The food was 'Outstanding' But the service & system was diabolical.
Main reception, main restaurant & main pool are spotless. REST OF HOTEL HAS BEEN FORGOTTEN! the Suites shared pool was very dirty, green slime around the edge and on tiles, lots of missing tiles, not cleaned the whole week, its has grit and plant debris in the bottom, all still there when we left! 1 customer cut his foot badly on a broken tile and went to hospital. The Lindos chain is big, this hotel is big BUT no money is being put back in and the place is very tatty/tired (i have photos of everything) staff work very hard but are minimal.
*There is no 'pack lunch' system available. Usually available on even a basic half board holiday!
*The snack Wok bar served a box of lush noodles, But only gave '3' small pieces of chicken in it. this is AI.!
*The In-room mini bar is empty! normally on AI it is stocked with water, soda & local beer & replenished.
*There is no free Spa session (as standard everywhere else I have been to as AI)
*There is no scuba lesson (a norm every other hols I've been on)
*This hotel offers a 'less than basic standard'!!
I would not recommend this hotel to my enemy let alone a friend! We went to a 5* in Kos 2 yrs ago and that WAS 5*+ everything there was immaculate and pristine which is what you expect at this calibre of price. I could go on and on!
A good thing, we luckily only booked for 1 week.
