Review of Weatherspoons
Dreadful. Had a problem with bad food served at the Edinburgh Booking Office 'spoons. Complained online (and got auto-receipt) but despite it saying I would get a response, NOTHING!!!!! They are not bothered about customer service or providing reasonable quality. Much better is not available for similar prices from competitors. I will avoid Wetherspoons from now on.

Three days (including Sunday) is not enough time for collection.

Dreadful. Had a bad experience recently and complained online. Website acknowledged my complaint and said I'd get a response shortly but now (over 2 weeks later) still no response. It's clear that JD Wetherspoons are no longer interested in customers and happy to serve bad food. (Recommend Stonegate Pubs for better food, better service, better atmosphere and better value)
Review of J D Wetherspoon
Spoons have really gone off of late and no longer offer the decent food and drink at a reasonable price. I visited The Booking Office in Edinburgh recently. The service was awful, the table was dirty and staff just couldn't be bothered to clean it and the food was dreadful - burnt yet cold! I complained on-line but Wetherspoons clearly don't value their longstanding customers and haven't bothered to respond. I used to recommend 'Spoons' to others, but will no longer do so.

Witherspoon- The Booking Office Edinburgh.
Busy on a Sunday lunchtime but staff very slow to clear tables (and failed to wipe surfaces). Food not good...burger burnt to a crisp. Drinks fine, but the usual short measures on pints.
I'll look elsewhere for lunchtime meals.

Review of John Lewis
Dreadful. I ordered a £300 Lenovo Tablet at the weekend and have just received a pack of Charlotte's Hollywood Secrets Eye Patches!!!! WORSE STILL, the JL chat representative is messing me about saying they will not post out the correct item until I return the rubbish they sent me. How about they come and get it? Why should I be inconvenienced for their mess-up. I CANNOT recommend John Lewis following this experience.

Dreadful. Unreliable and frequently fail to deliver items at all! I have been waiting ages for a package which Evri have had for days at the local depot but still showing no sign of delivering. This will only get WORSE nearer Christmas - Seriously, I would not use Evri for ANY Christmas post!!!!
Review of Evri
Dreadful. Pretty much unable to deliver any package without some problem or other.
Currently in possession of a parcel I've been waiting weeks for. Tracking now says Evri intend to return it to China!
The help-bot is useless and whenever I leave any requests to call me, nobody ever does. I just know this review will receive a response asking me to contact them but I've done this so many times before and no-one ever gets back. Evri are so rubbish.
(Just received the expected response... It is either a cut and paste job or a simple auto-response... Every time it's the same response and every time I do contact Evri, they just fail to get back to me. Dreadful, they don't care about customer satisfaction at all!

Evri have 4 parcels of mine they haven't delivered!!!!
I get messages to apologise that they are 'running late' (by 3 weeks in one case) and others saying they 'attempted to deliver' - when they have not. They are currently abysmal!!!!!!
Evri should NOT be allowed to run a courier business and it's clear that the DHL merger has not improved anything. I'm just hoping they haven't ruined DHL as they had a great delivery driver in this area.

Awful. Have failed to deliver an item and showing no sign of doing so.
I have waited weeks for this item (supposed to be 48 hour delivery), but Evri don't seem to be trying to deliver. Yesterday they said they would deliver between 6 and 9 pm, but then failed to turn up. This morning, they then sent a message saying they tried to deliver. This was a lie. No attempt was made to deliver the parcel. Back to their old ways of poor service I'm afraid.

Currently waiting for 4 parcels to be delivered by Evri. All are delayed for unspecified reasons, one by a week now with no sign as to when Evri might deliver.
Pretty useless.

Review of Specsavers
Over the summer I had a negative experience with Specsavers and as a result wrote TP reviews and sent feedback messages to their site. A couple of these messages were ignored, but the last one received a response from the local (Bishop Auckland) manager who was very apologetic and extremely helpful. As a result of his actions, my faith in Specsavers has been restored and hopefully, my experience was 'just a blip'.
I do still feel that Specsavers need to sort out their website contact system so that emails are easier to send AND get a proper and timely response. I also feel their dependency on social media as the primary means to contact 'headquarters' is poor. MANY customers, like myself, do not use or want to use, X, Facetime, Instagram, YT or any other such item. How about a straightforward email address ?

InPost provide far too short a time to collect items. On this item it was one 1 working day! This is ridiculous.

Review of InPost UK
The InPost website shows a collection point at a nearby village (Cockfield in County Durham) but it is actually 10 miles away in Barnard Castle (or 8 miles away in West Auckland).
InPost need more local points AND to get the information on their website (and other companies who use the information, such as Vinted) right.

Mediocre service as InPost have no boxes close to me so we have to travel 8 miles to the nearest box. Time allowed for collection is short - should allow at least 7 days so collections can coincide with 'weekly shop'.

Review of Specsavers
I had a bad experience earlier in the summer and wrote a negative review. Their reply asked me to contact their customer service department which I did (by email as I don't use s.m.) a few weeks ago. I got an on-screen message saying they aimed to get back within a couple of days. Since then NOTHING!! This convinces me more that Specsavers are no longer interested in their customers and just want your money. Very disappointed and will be looking elsewhere for specs in the future! (Their response only reinforces my opinion that they are really not bothered about customers... I'd already stated I don't use Social Media... That includes FB and all the other options (hence why I emailed to no avail)

Awful courier... Amongst the worst.
In recent days Yodel have broken one delivery (an irreplaceable coffee set that was well packaged and labelled fragile), failed to deliver and item AND lied about it, and delivered another late for no reason.
They are completely useless and should be avoided.

Review of Specsavers
I've used Specsavers for years but will be looking elsewhere next time.
I booked an eye test and as my prescription has changed slightly decided to go for the 2 for 1 offer. Of course it's only the frames that are 2 for 1, so by the time they'd finished I was spending over £220. Unlike previously, when my specs were ready in a week, it now takes 2 weeks to assemble the glasses (they do so on site) so I was down to collect at the appointment time but had to wait about 30 mins to be seen.
As part of the 'deal' I was given a 'Golden ticket' (to encourage you to spend even more) and chose a pair of sunglasses for £60 (half price).
Again these were supposed to be ready in 2 weeks, but took 3...with very poor communication from Specsavers and no apology or explanation for the delay.
My initial specs were supposed to have anti-scratch coatings (for which I paid extra) but after only a week of light use I find one lens is scuffed, right in the eyeliner. I mentioned this when I picked up the sunglasses but was basically told 'tough' - you can buy new lenses at a exorbitant price!
Specsavers seems no longer to be a reasonable priced provider with good customer focus. Now it's all about extracting the most money from customers and having them meet your timescales.
I just feel very let down by my recent experience and will be looking elsewhere (Asda /Tesco /Vision Express) next time I need glasses.
