Susannah’s enthusiasm is infectious

Susannah’s enthusiasm is infectious and it’s hard not to be motivated by it. I have attended quite a few of her webinars and training sessions and her delivery and knowledge of property is apparent. I am currently discussing mentoring with her and I am confident she is the right person to help me to meet my goals to scale up my property portfolio.

Marc Champ is the epitome a great broker

Marc Champ is the epitome of what a great broker should be. He is an essential part of my power team on my property development journey and definitely my go to person for all my financial needs. Not only is he able to get me the best rates on the market but his 'outside of the box thinking' in terms of overcoming challenges has proved key to driving things forwards. I would strongly recommend Marc to anyone looking for someone to steer them through financing a project. His knowledge is first class and he really takes the time to make sure you thoroughly understand everything before making a decision - all this without any pressure.

Thoroughly recommend Glyn Broadhurst …

I have used Glyn many times before over a number of years. He is my go to man for any chips, scratches or scrapes especially before I hand my car back at the end of a lease. Glyn is friendly, professional and very good at what he does! Great service. Thoroughly recommended.

Not impressed

The Danni Denim jacket came scrunched up in a recycled QVC plastic bag - the bag was turned inside out so you can tell it had already been used. The Jacket had dirt stains on it too. This is an item that had obviously been returned to your warehouse and had just been re-addressed to me in it's current state. I am a long standing QVC customer but of late I think your standard is slipping. This is the second issue I have had with you in less than a week. Not impressed!

Review of Bistrot Pierre

Below standard experience

I have ate at Bistro Pierre many times but the standard has fallen. Very disappointed on my last visit December 21st.

So let’s start from the beginning. We asked for a bread basket and when it arrived the bread was cut into very small pieces as though to disguise the fact the restaurant was short of bread. The presentation looked childlike and messy. I have had the bread basket before and the bread had alway been cut on the bias and very presentable. We ordered the ham hock and baked Camembert starters. The presentation of the ham hock was unacceptable. The meat was crumbled and looked like it had just been thrown on the plate without even trying to make it presentable. In fact it looked like someone’s leftover rather than a professionally plated dish. We drew our waitress’s attention to it and she replaced it. I have had the baked Camembert numerous times but what appeared was a cutdown version in the same ramekin with greaseproof paper packed around it to give the appearance it fitted in the dish.

We ordered from the fixed Christmas Menu. In terms of the main course my friend had the Turkey dinner. The Turkey was cardboard dry and cut very thin. The meal was also tasteless. Again we drew this to the waitress’s attention and changed the dish to the hake which although presented well was not tasty. I ordered the steak au poive but what appeared was the steak dianne for which there was a supplementary charge of £5. I had asked for my steak be cooked pink but it was medium. The steak was chewy and also had a big piece of elastin running through it which made it hard to eat.

Finally we ordered the crème brûlée. The top was rock hard and there was no shortbread biscuit which on previous occasions it was served with although the waitress insisted this was not the case.

All in all it was a very poorly executed service. The waitress said it was because there was only 2 chefs instead of the 4 normally in. However the restaurant was not full at all. Only one large party and 3 other tables with less that 4 people.

It was my birthday and I feel particularly let down as up to this point I have never had a bad experience here. However the overall impression was that of a meal delivered on a very tight budget where corners were cut. We just paid the bill and left but it really doesn’t sit well with me that neither of us were satisfied with our meal. With hindsight we should have complained on the spot!

I have posted this complaint here because despite trying to make a complaint directly from their website numerous times an error comes up. Hoping that they’ll see this here and respond.

Review of Voyage Prive

VOYAGE PRIVE LEFT US STRANDED - WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

I will never book with Voyage Prive again as they left me and my friends stranded at Rhodes airport.

The return flight and the accommodation duration did not match up. The accommodation was booked for 5 nights but we did not realise the return flight was booked for the 4th night. How on earth could we be expected to be on a plane the day before we were due to check out of our hotel? The only way this would've been possible was for us to cut our holiday short. If this was the case then Voyage Prive mis-sold it to us as a 5 night break when it was in fact a 4 night break according to the flight schedule. Even with this, the hotel checkout was confirmed in their documentation as 12:00hrs the morning after our 5th night and NOT before. The return flight should have been after this time later that day.

You can imagine our distress when we arrived at Rhodes airport only to find our flight had left 24hrs before. We ending up having to pay for standby seats on the next flight into the UK which wasn’t even flying into the city where we came from otherwise the next one was in 2 days time.

It is quite obvious Voyage Prive made an error by not matching the accommodation and flight schedules but a month later we are still no way nearer to getting our money back. The response I received from the Complaints department was wholly inadequate in not addressing the flight issue and did not accept responsibility. They had the audacity to put the blame on us for not cutting our holiday short in order to take into account the error they made.

As the travel company the onus is on Voyage Prive to ensure that bookings are correct. Voyage Prive clearly failed in its duty of care to us by not carrying out due diligence when matching the return flight and the accommodation schedules.

I have appealed the decision and have spoken to numerous people in customer service to no avail as they only give platitudes and have no decision making powers. Having sent their sub-standard response there is now a distinct lack of communication from the Complaints department. I have called practically every week and apparently this has now been escalated to Head Office. A week later - still no response. They don't even have the courtesy to acknowledge my emails or messages.

I would strongly advise anyone considering booking with Voyage Prive to reconsider due to the cavalier manner in which they treat their customers. It is also apparent from the number of poor reviews on this site that something is clearly amiss – I wish we had checked this before we made our booking.

I now unfortunately find myself in a position where I will have no choice but to take this matter further if this does not get resolved within the next 7 days. Come on Voyage Prive do the right thing and address this matter now!

Update 15/8/19

Voyage Privé’s response was contradictory and refused to take responsibility for the issue citing ‘passenger mistake’ as the reason. How can we be denied a 5th night when it was a 5 night booking? I have asked for clarification before taking further action. Voyage Privé please look at this again as it is clearly wrong.
