Not the most reliable service!

The package was due for delivery yesterday, and for some unexplained reason it was changed to "contact the seller" This morning, is was showing as out for delivery, and it did finally arrive early afternoon.
Not what I would call a reliable service!

Always check accessibility issues!

When I make a booking, I have to ensure that accessibility is good, as my wife has mobility issues. I always mention this so that the booking staff can confirm that everything meets our needs. This delays booking slightly, but it avoids disappointment when you arrive, only to find something which is not ideal at best, or impractical at worst.

AO is great, but DPD are not reliable, in my opinion. …

AO is my go to place for everything electrical goods, with great products and competitive pricing.
Delivery is generally as stated, but for some reason, DPD failed to deliver yesterday, and it didn't arrive until mid afternoon today.
Personally, I have had similar issues with DPD before, and they would not be my courier of choice.

I have ordered cabinet lights from Simplelighting on a couple of previous occasions. I come back each time because I usually find lights which suit my needs, at a very good price, and they are delivered promptly.
What more could you ask for?

Pleasant surprise !

I have had a few parcels delivered recently by Yodel, and today was a pleasant surprise. The courier actually rang my doorbell and waited for me to answer the door. This is a vast improvement on the others, when the parcels were just dumped on my doorstep, and left there for anyone to either steal, or interfere with.
Things are looking up!

Yodel, the worst in the business!…

Yodel are terrible for just ringing the doorbell, leaving a package on the doorstep and walking away.
My doorstep is not what I would class as a secure place, as there is a public walkway next to the doorstep, and anyone passing could easily just lift the package and walk away with it.
This is not how I would define delivery.

The worst courier in the business!

Yodel just ring the doorbell, and leave your package on the doorstep and walk away, with a complete disregard for the security or value of the contents of the package.
I cannot understand why anyone would consider this to be acceptable, nor can I understand why any retailer would even consider using a courier with this cavalier attitude to the customer or retailer who have entrusted them to deliver their products.

"Brilliant" service.

Originally I had ordered one ring, but I ordered the wrong size.By the time I contacted the Diamond Store, my wife had chosen a different (and more expensive) ring. The Diamond Store agreed to the change, as long as tge original ring was in a satisfactory condition.
The service and delivery times were excellent, and I have shopped with them previously.

Ease of ordering online, competitive prices, helpful staff, if you have any questions about a product, fast delivery and friendly professional delivery teams. On top of this, an energy efficient heat pump tumble dryer, which will reduce my energy cost.

Bishop Ordination

I wanted a card for an event which doesn't happen very often ( A Bishop's ordination ) If I were to look for a suitable card in the shops, there would be little or no choice of cards available.
Using your site, I get a decent selection of cards, which will be different from what would be available locally. Cost and delivery times are very good, and I will continue to use this site for specialist cards.

Arranging Buildings Insurance

I was looking to arrange buildings insurance for my home, and after looking at a comparison site, I saw a quote from Aviva. Having previously dealt with Aviva on a different matter, I decided to look at the detail behind the quote, and was happy with the level of cover, and the overall price.
Apart from a slight glitch with the computer side of things, the whole process of setting up my buildings insurance could not have been easier.
Well done to both Aviva, and Money Supermarket.

Great products , good prices, and reliable delivery service.
My only criticism is regarding returns. On most purchases, there is a charge for delivery, but if you have to return any item, whether there is a fault, or it is not suitable,you have to pay the return postage. There should be a free drop off point for returns

Samsung American style fridge freezer …

Fridge freezer delivered well within the quoted delivery window. The two delivery men were excellent, and easily got the appliance into my kitchen, despite my earlier concerns as to whether it would fit through my front and kitchen doors. A big well done to both of you.
The appliance itself is exactly what we we looking for, and my wife and I are both delighted. The reduced price made it a must buy.
Best service yet from AO. Still my first choice for electrical appliances.

Worst customer service ever!

I ordered a mattress (o/n 000456569) on the 27th December 2022, with a delivery of 14 to 28 days. When it hadn't arrived by the end of January, I called them to chase them up, to be told that it was delayed, and should arrive by 17th February. On the 14th February I phoned again to ask about a delivery date, and was told that there was a further delay, and it would be another month before it would arrive. I told them that I wanted to cancel my order, and wanted an immediate refund of the money I paid on my debit card. I was told the refund would take up to ten working days to reach my account, and later that day I got an email from them, confirming the cancellation and that the refund was passed.
Today, I phoned to chase the refund, only to be told that the company had gone into administration, and was taken over by another company as a going concern, and that I would need to take the matter up with my bank to pursue my refund.
The company stinks, and I would urge any potential customers to go elsewhere.
Six weeks later, and I have not yet had my refund. My bank is still waiting for a response from Dormeo. The still have the audacity to advertise on many TV channels, including money back guarantee. Surely this breaches trading standards requirements.

ordering multiple items

When ordering multiple items, there should be a system to bring the items together before dispatch to the customer. In my latest order, I had to wait for three deliveries rather than just one.

Hybrid Dormeo Mattresses

This is the second Dormeo mattress that I have bought from ideal world. When these hybrid mattresses are on blockbuster offer, the prices are exceptional, and with easy payment options, and delivery normally within 5 working days, I think it would be difficult to get a better deal on these comfortable mattresses.
