I purchased a dash camera for £89.96.
It finally arrived after delays and it was of the poorest quality, unbranded, used and scratched, without any certifications or useful instructions for installation and use.
I emailed their customer services and their response is attached below.
Instead of getting into the trouble to return the item to China, I accepted the 50% refund they offered me, but that was never paid into my credit card. Eventually I received £44.98 when I raised this with my bank.
“Thank you for your reply, and I completely understand your frustration — I know it’s disappointing when something you’ve purchased doesn’t meet your expectations.
Just to reassure you, yes if you return the item, once it arrives safely at our warehouse, you’ll receive the full refund of £89.96 back to your card. Please note that return shipping (around £15–£25) would need to be covered on your side, and delivery can sometimes take 3–4 weeks due to customs checks. Also, if the parcel gets delayed or lost before it reaches us, we wouldn’t be able to issue the refund.
Because I don’t want you to go through that long, expensive process, I’d like to offer you a simpler option — a 50% refund straight back to your card, and you don’t need to return the item. That way, you avoid the hassle of shipping and still get half your money back right away.
Please let me know which option feels best for you, and I’ll make sure it’s taken care of quickly.
