Very Poor Delivery Service

I was unable to select any additional delivery options for my order, and today I received a large and heavy shipment. When the courier called prior to arrival, I asked if he could assist by placing the delivery in the elevator, as I am pregnant and unable to lift heavy items. He responded in an unprofessional and dismissive manner and stated that he would only put the delivery in the elevator before abruptly ending the call.

Upon arrival, the shipment was significantly larger and heavier than expected, including a substantial wooden pallet beneath the boxes. The courier placed the entire load in the elevator and left immediately. Even with assistance at home, it would have been impossible for us to lift or move this safely on our own.

I find the conduct unacceptable. First, the refusal to provide basic assistance to a pregnant customer; second, the unwillingness to bring the delivery to my door, even for an additional fee; and third, the fact that he had the proper equipment to complete the task quickly and safely. The overall experience was extremely disappointing.
