Service of wood burning stove
Surreystoveinstallations serviced my wood burning stove and swept the chimney on Monday 6th September. The cost of the service was very high, £160. This did not include replacement of broken firebricks. The person undertaking the service did not want to accept payment by cheque initially or payment on-line. for which there would be an additional charge. He eventually took a cheque. I will not be using this company again.

I have checked and you have been advised about the cost of service before you booked the service, what was included and the payment method. You were also informed that the service includes an external and internal stove body check for potential cracks , check all the seals and replace the rope seals if necessary, sweep the chimney with power brush and issue the Hetas Home Owner Certificate.
In regards to payment method our engineers are not instructed to take cheques and they do not have the card terminals.
