The course was well presented and, as usual, had the good humor of Luzi and Johannes added as they do in their online videos. In addition, they noted the particular frustrations that language learners have when confronted with certain situations. I feel that the Grammar that I have learned now is good, but I must concentrate more on the vocabulary, as I have let it slide some. I plan to go through the course again in a few weeks, as suggested, and then plan to take the A2 exam. I will await their B1-2 publications and learn it with them again.

I really like this course it is very suited to me as a native English speaker with no grammar knowledge in my own language… so having the grammar explained with examples is ideal for me and they do it light heartedly and make it simple… not that i remember it all but I understand what they are saying.. I have done A2.1 and A2.2 and found it very helpful… It does not do the speaking part of course, but it does give you a great foundation

I took all four courses A1.1,1.2 and A2.1, 2.2 with YourGermanTeacher. I would highly recommend this course to everyone. This is such an amazing course with detailed exercises, explainations and I also love the Books and Grammatik Books. Everything is very well organised, they always answer to all comments very quickly with complete expalainations and I know I've learned alot from here.
Only one suggestion: There should be more writing exercises instead of just filling the blanks and question answers. You should include Writing exercises like task to write 10lines on specific topic or make some sentences using specific words.

Looking forward to B1 course pleaseeeee.

what a wonderful journey I have had of learning Deutsch. Everytime I asked a doubt, both the teachers were always ready to clear it asap. Also, one thing I liked about them is that they have worksheets as well as a short test at the end of every chapter so that one does remember all things by heart. I have just complete A2.1 and will start A2.2 in a couple of days after revising previous chapters. because revision is the most crucial part. Vielen dank! Lehrerin.

I began the A1 course from YourGermanTeacher as almost a complete beginner with the German language. After struggling with a random assortment of videos on YouTube, I knew that I needed a structured, deliberate series of lessons, presented by experienced instructors. I am extremely satisfied with this course, and I feel that it is an amazing value for the price. The videos are clear and the pacing is perfect. The more complicated grammar is presented slowly, in a way that does not apologize and yet does not intimidate. The accompanying book is very well organized and suitable for all ages. The worksheets provide plenty of opportunities for additional practice. Johannes and Luzi have assuaged my fear that “German is difficult.” I am eager to begin their A2 course.

I found this A2.1 level German course to be well organized and clearly presented. The teacher does a good job explaining complicated topics. Between the videos, the course book, and the provided worksheets, there is a good amount of repetition and practice. I spent about an hour a day on the course and completed it in 9 weeks. I feel like my German has definitely improved and I look forward to taking the A2.2 course next.

German is a complicated language and like any language, studying it can be tedious. Luzi and Johannes make it look simple, easy and enjoyable to learn. And we learned a lot from the videos they provide and the explanations they give. Furthermore, they are always available to answer any questions we may have. Vielen Dank :)

1. Organized, well presented topics broken down into manageable and understandable sections.
2. Availability of the teachers (Luzi and Johannes) to answer questions thoroughly and quickly responding as well.
3. Bonus Tips and countless, helpful study sheets are super helpful and come in handy for learning, reviewing, and studying future courses.
4. Listening modules for vocabulary and in conversations with both teachers speaking are really helpful in trying to both understand and speak German.
5. I can't recommend this course enough-am excited about continuing with A2 after preparing for and hopefully passing the Goethe Institute A1 exam.

I really liked the format of this course. The teachers are very precise and speak in both German and English all examples and directions, so that you automatically begin to understand the German. After the lesson, there is interaction with a written exercise and then listening comprehension. The course is very well planned and helps you understand why the construction is the way it is. I thoroughly recommend this course for those who want to learn German!

I've been experimenting with several online German language courses for beginners / intermediate level learners. This is by far the best out there though I have to say as an English speaker, we are spoilt by the breadth and variety of options available out there, lots of it is available for free so you don't need to take too many risks if you are still unsure where to start. I found "YourGermanTeacher" A2.1 course to be very well-organized, accessible with excellent online graphics and teaching material to download, all you need is to just bring your own motivation. The two teachers are well-seasoned at their job, clear and highly organized. My questions were answered in a timely manner. Really great overall value and experience.

These two are, by far, the BEST German teachers online! I have tried several courses, both in person and online, but Luzi & Johannes cover it all - from vocabulary, to conjugations, to informative and fun videos. Their course books and exercises are laid out very well, and their exercises make you think. They are much harder than the examples they do online! You definitely have to think! I've finished A1.2 and ready to go on to A2.1!

I HIGHLY recommend studying German with Your German Teacher. The course book, worksheets, and flash cards (included through Brainscape) are very effective learning aids. But the best thing about this course are the videos with Luzi and Johannes. Watch some of their free videos & you'll see their enthusiasm for teaching. Also - if you have a problem, question or comment they will answer promptly. It's obvious they care about delivering a quality experience. I can't imagine a better place to learn German!

just finish my A1 course. This course is well structured and the teachers are very much passionate about the way the teach. Please don,t waste your money in language school anymore if you want to pass A1 do this course you wont be dissapointed. This course lays a good foundation for A2 and above.

I had not read any reviews when I bought your courses but I watched some of your YouTube and I love the way you both teach. Now I'm almost finished with my A1 at Goethe Institute and I'm going to start A2 soon before my A1 exam. It's scared me! I agreed with everyone about learning at Goethe Institute, 100% true! Without your courses, I might quit learning already. Now I'm going to purchase your A2.1 too. If you have a complete A2 in one price like A1 it would be great too.
