Absolutely pathetic app 100% crap to use just full of ads, what a useless App, will advise to buy anything but YIHome products, complete waste of time

Absolute rubbish they take money for the camera then blackmail you to remove adverts so that you can see it. Avoid y i cameras at all costs! A disgusting company - don't waste money on their cameras - they soon get blocked with adverts and want more money. It should be illegal - it is BLACKMAIL.

I purchased YI Camera/s a few years ago now and the camera's themselves were ok for the cheaper price, but now I'm bombarded with constant Ads everytime I try to use their app! The only way to remove them is to pay for a subscription which I do not want or need, if i hear an alert and quickly want to check my cams for security you're unable to immediately due to the VERY annoying ads, I will NEVER purchase a YI product again.

Disgusting non stop Ads. I’d get rob before I can see who’s in my house due to the most annoying ads. No way around it. I’ll buy a new camera system before I pay for any subscription. F this company. Do not buy!

Their cameras are glitchy crap no matter what speed internet you have, and OMG THE ADS ADS ADS!
You cant even check a camera without ADS forcing you to watch before you can even use the program. AND while your actively using it ADS pop up where you are controlling the camera and it takes you to the AD! If there is an emergency someone is probably dead. This is a lawsuit just waiting to happen. ALL of this is to force you to pay for their cloud. One of the attractive features was the SD card recording so you dont have to use clouds and pay out the butt for services. Its all a scam and not worth the cheaper price tag. DONT NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY ON YI or KAMI cameras!

Had these for years and it has become absolute garbage over time. The cameras are fine. Too bad you need their predatory app to use them. Don't want to pay a subscription? Don't bother unless you want to see an ad for every app navigation or action you take. And you can't skip them. Oh you finally made it to your camera feed? Make sure to close out the popups for their subscription again. Awful company, steer clear.

Do not install their apps on your devices! I almost caught a virus while resetting a camera in the app, thankfully my antivirus software notified me. If you don’t pay for cloud services, you will get long and annoying advertisements. These ads pop up and the worse times! While I am trying to look at the camera, I have to wait for an ad to finish. This is detrimental if there is an emergency! And they have these fake popups that say ‘emergency alert’, making it look like there is an emergency happening on camera but all it is is an ad! When I first purchased the cameras years ago, there were no ads. Now they are awful. The camera quality is also bad and you cannot see anything at night. I also believe a prior employer hacked into my camera system at home. I have read articles online saying they are easy to hack. We have uninstalled the apps and removed the cameras. Do not purchase!!

I had YI cameras for years. They were very budget friendly and did the job for what I needed then they switched our app to ads. I am switching over to Wyze cameras and throwing the yi out. So many ads to try to look at your stuff when you need to is ridiculous smarten up yi

I wish i could rate negative stars.
When I get an alert, and want to open the app on my phone, I have to wait 10 seconds for an ad to clear, then when the X finally does appear, it's so small that I invariably overshoot and the app store opens. Then I close the app store, and another ad appears. Meanwhile, my whole house might be ransacked.
The only way to remove the ads is with a WEEKLY subscription.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I will be taking a sledge hammer to mine, if they haven't been stolen. A half hour later, still can't view my house, through my cameras.

Terrible. DO NOT BUY. Was fine at first. Now repeated ADs that you can’t even get out of sometimes make it completely unusable. About to literally throw all mine away.

I agree with all the other negative reviews regarding non stop pop up ads. Aggressive force to subscribe. Camera is useless do not buy from this company.

Bought a camera and sd storage card. Was ok at first now cannot access camera or storage as being bombarded with add in their attempt to get you signed up for cloud storage.

Do not waste money on their products.

Started off ok but after numerous updates there are that many ads as to make the app totally unusable. It's appears that it is not marketed as a security system but as a money makkng scheme for Yi. I have replaced all my cameras with the Osaio system. It is easy to install, reliable, a lot cheaper and NO adverts.

Worst camera system I've ever bought and ever dealt with in my life do not buy it it's not worth it don't waste your time get a ring camera 💯

TOTALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND YI – CHOOSE ANOTHER CAMERA BRAND WITHOUT A SUBSCRIPTION!
YI used to be great, but now YI is a complete scam! YI’s subscriptions are ridiculously expensive, and the free services are practically useless. Free YI users can watch only 180 seconds in terrible SD quality, with ads constantly interrupting. Don’t pay — your YI camera becomes useless! I am deleting my YI account.
To YI: What a disgrace! Aren’t you ashamed of ripping people off like this???!!

The YI app is very poor! Loads continual ads before the app evens loads. You can't get thru these ads unless you buy the cloud subscription. I bought 2 of these cams. Never again. Very difficult to get to a live display. I now use Wyze cams. Much better app interface. DON'T buy a YI cam!!

I wish I could give a negative star! Don't waste your money! You can't watch your cameras because of the ads, pop-ups and continuous message pop-ups trying to get you to subscribe to their cloud service.

Awful company

I purchased 3 cameras years ago and since then most services were stripped unless you pay a subscription. Spammed with adverts you can't close, PC version no longer works. Please don't buy from this company
