I have had good experiences at the YHA in the past but I'm done with them now. I needed to cancel a booking due to illness and cancelled in good time. The policy is though that if you use a discount c... See more

Good budget stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was fine for a low-cost overnight stay. The hotel is a former setup with basic facilities. The only downside was the shared toilets, which... See more

Great Xmas Visit

This is a great place to stay. It is easy to walk to Regent St and Oxford St. from here and the tube is a short walk away. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable.

The rooms were not in good condition

The rooms were not in good condition. Our windows had cracks on them so all night the wind blew against them and it made a howling noise all night. Screaming and shouting heard from outside all night.

Amazing hostel!!

I had no idea what I was getting into when I booked a YHA as I had never heard of them. Now I know and I will always look for them!! Amazing self-catering kitchen, so clean (even the showers!!) and so many entertainment in the social areas!! I did a puzzle/played clue/read a book/played pool and ping pong all for free! It's an easy way to start conversations! The only bad thing is that the pub/bar was expensive, but it might be because of just UK pricing in general compared to Canada. An english person I met in London told me that pricing seems normal to her (10.90p for fish and chips).

Also, I had so many difficulties because of a strike going on during my stay and staff was so understanding and let me stay in the same room for extra days instead if making me move!

The Sheringham YHA hostel is so great.

The Sheringham YHA hostel is so good. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. And the shared spaces are so very warm. There was a radiator in my room which was adjustable in the normal way, so I could suit myself how warm I wanted to be in my room. It is very near the train station and the bus stops, and close to the coast road, where you can catch the 'coast hopper' bus along the coast - or buses to Norwich or Cromer etc. And it takes about 15 mins to stroll to the sea front. And there is a big Tesco 5 mins walk away. I have had brekky in the YHA restaurant but generally, and in my recent stay, I use the selfcatering kitchen and attached dining space which is well fitted out. Out of season, when there's hardly anyone staying, you can pay for a room and if you are lucky, which i always have been, they'll give you a room much bigger and better than you arranged. What's not to like ? I'd recommend this lovely hostel to anyone.

Cheap and Cheerful

Stayed in a 6 bed female dorm, very clean dorm, was a quiet time of year so had the room to myself. Friendly staff, easy parking. Unfortunately, only one working toilet and is a bit out of the way but does the job :)

Good value for money

Good value for money, a lot cheaper than a hotel and considering the difference in price I would rather go for basic accommodation. A good plus to the room was plenty of lights and sockets near the beds.

Cheap but best

I love that the place is somewhere private and quiet. A 5min bus ride from the city center but let you appreciate the night city view.

Staff were very welcoming

Staff were very welcoming, clean room, perfect for 4 people, small but no issues at all. Had a sink and large mirror in our private room which we were grateful for. Perfect location, many food chains near by which was lovely and st Paul’s minutes away. Had a call to say our hostel at the time had issues with the boiler and were offered a move of hostels free of charge however we decided this was no issue for us. Overall a wonderful stay!

Spectacular, atmospheric and special

What an amazing hostel location, great food, wonderful atmosphere and awesome staff! Even in the bitter cold -10C temperature they kept us warm! I asked one of the staff when they managed to get some sleep because they were up late past 11pm and then up before all the guests in the morning preparing breakfast! She said it’s okay - we get daytime hours off from 12-5pm so it works well - it’s a lifestyle. Very positive attitude that is one example of how this is a way of life - and I feel honoured to have been a part of that atmosphere for a few days! A moment in time to remember for a lifetime!
