Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 1,266 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found customer service unhelpful, frequently encountering automated responses or dismissive agents. Customers also reported numerous product issues, including faulty, stained, or incorrectly sized items. Significant problems with orders and delivery were common, such as missing goods, lost parcels, or deliveries to incorrect addresses, causing considerable frustration. The return process was also a major source of dissatisfaction, with customers struggling to return items or receive refunds due to unclear policies and non-functional labels. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with delivery, reporting that their orders arrived on time and were complete, with some even praising fast shipping.

Zara clothes are defo made in the dark…

Purchased an XXL (size 18) backless white satin shirt and distressed denim skirt in their 70% off sale. Both looked ok on the hanger but my fault entirely as it was 8.55pm so didn't have time to go try them on. Anyways, Oh my god. When I tried them on at home.... One side of the shirt was not even shaped the same as the other side, the collar was wonky and the split of the skirt went straight up the cratchie. Obvs going straight back for a refund. Reyt pile of shite.

I would give it 0 stars

I would give it 0 stars. No thinking, no resolution, lazy, not interested. Zara in general has chosen to deliver with the most unreliable company in Bulgaria, confusing information, lack of information and a big waste of time! Don't buy from Zara ever again.

I had one of the worst shopping…

I had one of the worst shopping experiences at Zara Meadowhall.

I purchased an item using the self-service checkout, paid successfully, and as I was leaving the store I was stopped and told I hadn’t paid. I showed proof that the payment had left my bank account, including screenshots, but I was repeatedly told their system showed no payment. Despite providing evidence, I wasn’t allowed to take the item I had already paid for.

I was told the payment would “bounce back” into my account. It never did.

I returned to the store the following day and spoke to the manager. I explained everything and was asked to leave my details for customer services. I questioned why the issue couldn’t be dealt with there and then, especially as it was caused by their system. After some back and forth, another manager got involved and contacted customer services. I was given a reference number, promised someone would call me, and assured my refund would be processed.

Fourteen days later, I’ve had no phone call, no refund, and no resolution.

The whole experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Customers shouldn’t be treated this way, especially when they can clearly prove payment has been taken. I expected far better customer service and accountability from Zara. This level of customer care is simply unacceptable.

I would love to give Zara 0

I would love to give Zara 0, after shopping there for over two decades I’ve finally decided to stop shopping there.Putting aside extortionate prices, quality that is abysmal and expensive delivery and return fees they are now going above and beyond to give terrible customer service. After receiving an item with a stain on it despite me sending photos of the packaging and the item still having a tag on it they claim no responsibility, the attitude of customer services is shocking and the amount of time it takes to chat to an agent is ridiculous; people just don’t have the time for this plus no contact centre everything over chat which is so inefficient.Bye Zara!!!

Will you or won’t you get your order?

The last 2 times I have placed an online order via the app I’ve had to chase up my parcel after 2-3 weeks… Their method of resolution appears to be to immediately issue a refund (cancelling your order), when I actually just wanted the items I ordered. Most recently, I found that despite my supposed items having already been packed and on their way to me, as of 2 weeks ago, I could no longer actually receive them as they were out of stock (?!) and so a refund was duly issued. Something doesn’t add up… Going on the app and into stores it’s evident Zara is trying to revolutionise the buying experience, but maybe they should first tackle the basics of sending out purchases on time.

ZARA is completely going downhill with time. I bought a cord set around a week ago and after the wash it has shrunk at least three sides down. I tried contacting the helpline through WhatsApp and nobody of much help. I’m stuck with this cord and my money is all gone. Lately, it has been happening a lot with their Clothes.

so-called secret alarm and false accusation

On Friday, July 10, 2026, at 2:39 PM, I bought a pair of beige trousers (code 0451440271005) from the ZARA Metromall shopping center in Ankara, Turkey. I paid with my credit card and had them placed in a large ZARA paper bag before leaving the store. Later, I bought two jackets from LCW, also in the same bag. I stayed at LCW for about half an hour. Needing another pair of trousers, I returned to the ZARA store, looked around, but couldn't find what I wanted. About 5-6 meters from the ZARA store entrance, someone approached me from behind and said, "Sir, the alarm is going off, we need to check your bag." He showed me a picture of the trousers I had bought on a phone-like device. He was in civilian clothes, had no identification card, and introduced himself as a security guard. I later learned his name was Tolga Sevim. I told the cashier that the bag contained two LCW jackets and one pair of ZARA trousers, and that I had left the store an hour earlier without any alarms going off. I explained that this was my second visit to the store. She invited me to the cashier, which angered me greatly. Inside, at a counter near the entrance, I showed her the jackets and trousers, along with the receipts for each. She checked the tags and receipts, took the bag, processed a transaction, and then told me that a second hidden alarm remained on the trousers. I insisted that I had left the store an hour earlier, and if there was a hidden alarm, it should have gone off then. I asked why it hadn't. Her explanations were inconsistent and didn't satisfy me. I requested that a record be kept of the situation, but she refused. Because I was very angry, I left the store. I returned later to speak with the store manager, a woman who identified herself as Ayşegül. She repeated the same things, but I told her that her explanations were inconsistent and that I wanted to file a complaint or have a record kept. I received no positive response on either issue and left the store again.

I am requesting information and an apology from the ZARA Metromall store regarding the following matters, but I have received no response whatsoever.

1. First of all, I demand a written apology for this unpleasant incident I experienced at the ZARA Metromall store. I have not received any formal apology.

2. I was told that a hidden alarm was present on an item I purchased, and they showed me its location. I stated that if there was such an alarm, it should have gone off the moment I entered and exited the store, and that this was not believable. If there really was such a hidden alarm, why wasn't it canceled after the purchase? I expect an explanation regarding this matter: did the seller forget to cancel it, or is the company intentionally leaving it there? Do they have the legal right to do this, since they are placing an alarm on an item I purchased and that belongs to me without my consent?

3. Shouldn't security personnel wear appropriate uniforms for their profession and be able to identify themselves? Even if they are wearing civilian clothes, shouldn't they wear identification cards? Neither of these was present.

4. In this incident at ZARA, despite my insistence, the store neither prepared a report nor took my complaint in writing. I couldn't find anyone in the entire store to explain my problem. In these so-called quality standard procedures, shouldn't I have been able to contact someone in authority? Why wasn't that possible? I'm left in a vulnerable, angry, and frustrated situation.

5- My bag was inspected without my consent; I was treated like a thief. I can't accept this situation I've been put in because of their own mistake, all over a pair of cheap pants. At least if this company is warned, no one else will fall into this situation. That's my current expectation.

Zara's proof of delivery was an Amazon parcel

Ordered 10 items online, received 1.

Courier ignored my delivery instructions and left packages in a random corridor of a 40+ floor building instead of with the concierge. Packages were stolen.

Zara's investigation rejected my claim using 3 different 'proof of delivery' photos, one of which was literally an Amazon (!!!) parcel.

When I raised this, I was told to 'check my surroundings' and to use store (!!!) delivery next time.

My building concierge confirmed in writing only 1 package was received. Zara ignored this, ignored my emails to their official complaint addresses, and sent automated rejections from a no-reply inbox twice!

No one has actually reviewed my evidence. I have now escalated to RetailADR and my bank.

Been a Zara customer for years. This is how they treat you when something goes wrong.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service.

Never shopping with Zara online again and I'd advise anyone reading this to think twice before you do!

I wash my son’s Zara mens t shirts as the label says. They are not dried in a dryer and still somehow either shrink or are just not the same as when you buy them . Sometimes I have to stretch them when wet . Has anyone experienced this ?

What awful customer service!

What awful customer service!
I bought a t-shirt that was half price but was charged full price.
Apparently it was marked down by mistake & although it was their error they wouldn't refund the difference.
A manager was called but seem to ignore the request so the sales person had to go looking for him!
Again he said the same thing & offered a refund which I didn't want.
Their live chat isn't working & neither is their customer service telephone.
What an absolute appalling way to treat their customers.
No wonder the reviews are so bad!

Helsinki store lines

In Helsinki store, people do not use self service checkout. And in the line for Returns, there are always multiple people purchasing items, no matter if its sale season or not. No one guides people to actually use self checkout. Ridicilous.

Unorganized/No Customer Support for failed deliveries

My wife ordered over 200 euros in clothing during SOLDES D'ETE in france. The clothes were shipped in 4 different boxes (instead of just 1 box) and 1 of the 4 boxes we didn't receive. (unfortunately the one with over 100 euros of clothing). Each box my wife received a text message to her phone just after delivery, but the missing box there was no text message. My wife went through AI chat filling details and reached a person who promised to open an investigation and get back to us in 48hrs. It's been 6 days now and we haven't heard back (nor has the package suddenly shown up). We've tried to follow-up multiple times with no luck.

The feedback I have to Zara is that if you tell someone you will get back to them in 48hrs you need to honor that. You need to have some kind of ticket # and some kind of communication letting the person know "hey - we have a backlog of requests right now - we haven't forgot about you etc."

I would recommend avoiding Zara online and just shopping in store if you need one of their products.
