Youngs Gastro Scampi inedible I would question if it is actually scampi! Disappointing don't think it was fish inside those crumbs.

When things go wrong - which they do - a good company deals with problem. Youngs just ignore you. I bought 3 bags of 'gourmet scampi' and in one bag most of the scampi was in a few huge lumps. I complained and when asked sent pack code details. Even though I have chased them I am being 'ghosted'. Dont think I will buy their products again.

Bought 2 boxes of the " Gastro Fish " absolutely vile..thin grey watery mashed fish of some sort. The crumb was soggy even my dog wouldn't eat it.
Emailed my complaint to Youngs seafood no response at all.....I have also eaten their Scampi, thick soggy crumb obviously the same c..p they use for all their stuff, with a tiny bit of maybe Scampi could be anything inside.....

Disgusting factory made gloop! I never write reviews, but this deserves publcity.
I detected no fish content at all. Zero flavour. The mash wouldn't brown, even under a finishing grill and tasted like reconstituted eggshells. The yellow patch in the middle (representing cheese) appeared to be just food dye. A disgraceful product. You would be better nourished with a slice of bread and butter. Food Standards Authority should force a withdrawal of this product.

Absolutely vile. I would give it no stars if there was an option.
The fish is about half inch thick. It was grey and definately not cod fillet.
The batter is rubbery and the " fake cod fillet" is "FISHY" . Tastes disgusting and will never buy this shit again.
I now have a vile taste in my mouth and the thought of it is making me want to puke.
YOUNGS GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, STOP SKIMPING.

Are you taking the pixx? I've just open a new box of Young's Chip Shop Cod 4 pack. The size has reduced by at least 30% but the price has increased by 25%. I eat this product a lot but not anymore, you are seriously taking the piss

I bought their battered fish it was terrible. What fish that was in there was soggy and there was no taste at all.

Disappointed with Youngs Fish fish shop to see it is only 50% fish. Cheaper makes offer higher levels of "real fish". The rest is made up of a whole range of fillers and preservatives. Poor eating experience.

Won't be buying again.

Cod in Butter sauce or Parsley are Dire no way is that grey mush cod..Rest of range suffers poor quality fish pulp

I purchased their "New" chip shop Jumbo Fish Special. On opening the pack the fish filled only half the box, in other words the "Jumbo" piece of fish was half the size of the box! Also the weight on the box says it weighs 480g, when actually weighed the contents weighed 451g. I personally this trading standards should be involved as it is totally misrepresented and not sold as seen

Youngs Gastro Wholetail Scampli...where is the wholetail by the way? Because the grey congealed mess inside is definitely not scampi. Never buying scampi from you again!

Was shocked when I cooked the gastro fish fingers in detail how to cook,ie temperature,heat oven tray timing, stuck to backing tray which was nearly new and good quality, half way through the batter came apart ,by the time I served them up there was only grey soggy fish left, what a waste of money, never again

Uneatable unpleasant “ battered cod” was uneven, bare in places, and the fish was at best reconstructed not fillet. Very unfortunate that a company we would normally look to for good product would put this trash out.

Is this company legally allowed to trade? No ombudsman no suspension on products no board member held to account? A metaphor for liebour. All products where rancid. £20 down now. Every little freezing doesn't help. Disgusting.

Oh my God, what a disgusting tasting fishcake, I couldn't eat it, tasted and smelt musty.

Purchased Tempura fish when on offer. Did I say 'fish??? There was nothing resembling fish just a grey slime inside a thick coating of batter. Absolutely disgusting!

I purchased Youngs 2 extra large beer batter fish fillets, which I in my opinion isn’t fit for human consumption, virtually no fish content and made me gag! Words can’t describe how bloody awful these were. Ended up

Had Young's admirals fish pie, it was absolutely disgusting. It was all mash potato and a small amount of sauce underneath which was in total around 3/4 of an inch deep.
The mash tasted like the old packet mash you used to get and as for any fish? There wasn't any, couldn't taste any cheese either. If this is all Young's can offer it's best you give up. A toddler could have done better.
