Wastes peoples time

I've been here a couple of times before and wanted to see what it'd be like to work there when my part-time hours became available.

In short, applied to a position, had a promising phone conversation with a nice person, was recommended to bring my CV in and send it via email, of which I did both. I then called up the next day and I was told that they are waiting a couple of extra days because they'd like to have more applications being submitted before they begin processing them. So I called up two days later, as requested, and they told me, "we're not hiring". Not even a "sorry we hired someone else"

Thanks for wasting my time, guys. I'll make sure to never visit one of your branches.

In hindsight, I should have looked at your reviews on Indeed because if I had, I never would have bothered to apply.

I booked a table at Rudy’s…

I booked a table at Rudy’s for Valentine’s Day and received an email explaining that the restaurant was fully booked indoors, but that a heated, sheltered terrace space was available instead. I replied to confirm that this was absolutely fine, as I was really looking forward to dining there. At no point was I informed that an additional confirmation was required or that the terrace space was in such high demand.

However, when we arrived on Valentine’s Day, the host informed us that we needed a separate confirmation and that over 160 people were hoping to secure that space, which was being allocated on a “first come, first served” basis. This was very disappointing, as none of this urgency was communicated beforehand.

Having travelled all the way from Coventry, it was extremely frustrating to be turned away at the door. Clearer communication would have made a significant difference to our experience.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking. First time ordering due to a January promo code and the.oizzaa never arrived in spite of paying 6.50 for delivery from DPD.
Can not get any response from Rudy's in spite of many emails and calls and feel very let down. Luckily managed to claim through my bank but what a diabolical service. Avoid.

Terrible Service - Bake at Home.

We ordered from you on the 1 of January 2026 £75. 2 failed deliveries and 3 weeks later you still have our £75 we have nothing and you haven't responded to multiple emails since the 12th of January (from an existing conversation thread with you)

Seriously, what's going on here?. Terrible service.

Please update us ASAP. Although reading reviews here that seems unlikely.

Newcastle Pantomime

Newcastle. We had booked a table for 3 for a pre-pantomime pizza. After being taken to a table for 2 we pointed out that we had booked for 3. The man who showed us to our table went back to the reception area to check his screen. He returned a few moments later and I was not prepared for what he was about to tell us. As we had booked for 2 (we had booked for 3) the computer could not accommodate an extra person. Seemingly the only answer was for us to leave even though the restaurant appeared to be 33% empty. “We have bookings for all these” he said with a gesturing nod. This riddle was impossible to solve? Pull up a chair? Shuffle things ever so slightly? No!
And so in a daze we found ourselves back outside on the pavement. Within 10 minutes of arriving our transaction was complete. We had played out a Little Britain sketch. ‘Computer says no’. Our first and most definitely our last visit to Rudy’s was over. What are the pizzas like? I’ve got no idea!

Aloof staff as soon as we walked in

Aloof staff as soon as we walked in. The couple in front of us had booked via phone and had their booking recognised immediately. I had booked via email for my son’s bday (stated this being a bday treat in the email as I do every year and always get a happy birthday desserts or something but not here not compulsory but still?!) When I said I’d booked a table for 3 foh staff looked at me as though I was asking something out the ordinary?! I spelt my name thinking perhaps I didn’t say it clear (I am hard of hearing and wear hearing aids and accept I don’t always hear accordingly) she said she already found my booking and just wasn’t sure where to seat us. We then got seated right at the back near the kitchen/bar/staff room/congregation area. It wasn’t v busy no need to sit us here. Our v sweet and polite waitress attended 3 times and took our drinks before our 3rd party arrived 10mins late. We got our drinks and starter no problem. Waited for our pizza nothing came nobody came to our table nothing till the lad and the foh woman were pointing at us because they wanting us to vacate (it did say to vacate by 7:30 but we hadn’t been served our main?!) it was by this time 7:18 out table was 6pm . Lots of side eye off the guy in the blue striped jumper I thought he was a there as a guest not staff not very polite or well mannered. He and the pink haired girl need manners so rude and dismissive as though we’d walked into their home uninvited!!!Obviously a mistake with our order that could if been sooo easily corrected with an apology and explanation. Gutted I chose this venue for my son’s 18th meal 😪 soggy pizza cr😩p starters 💯 will never go again.

Arrived late, cold and missing items 😭

Pre ordered 6x pizzas and 3x dips Saturday afternoon for delivery in the evening between 7:15 and 7:45 from their Leamington Spa branch.
Pizzas arrived on the back of a Deliveroo moped late and cold with no dips :-(
The moped riders ‘keep warm’ bag wasn’t big enough for all the pizzas not that it made any difference as they were all as cold as each other.
Given the high price and there’s no discounts for takeaways I wouldn’t use them again and they owe me £5:50 for the dips that never arrived.
I emailed Rudy’s the day after to let them know of my experience in an attempt to let them put things right and make me feel like a valued customer but I haven’t received a reply hence this poor review.
My recommendation to Rudy’s would be - sack off Deliveroo they are ruining your wonderful pizzas at the final stage and either do collection only or get a proper delivery driver.
If you are in the Warwick/Leam area I’d recommend Red Hot Mammas Pizzas which are not only delicious they take 20% off takeaways if you collect.

Avoid Rudy’s Ancoats

Subject: Deeply Disappointed by Dishonest and Unprofessional Treatment

I’ve read your response, and I have to say I’m absolutely shocked and disappointed — not only by the way the situation was handled on the night, but by the inaccuracies in your reply.

Firstly, let me make it absolutely clear: I never received *any* phone call from your restaurant. Claiming that attempts were made to contact me is simply untrue. No such call was received, which makes your statement both misleading and unacceptable.

I drove all the way from Leeds to dine at Rudy’s, under the impression that we’d have a 90-minute table window, which is standard practice in most restaurants. Yes, I arrived around 45 minutes late due to unavoidable traffic, but I had made the trip especially to enjoy a meal before a live comedy show nearby.

When I arrived, I was met by a staff member whose attitude was nothing short of mocking. His dismissive comment — “You’re late, not my problem" — was incredibly rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, he claimed there were no available tables inside or outside. That was simply not true. I could clearly see there were empty tables outside, with only two people seated in that area. To be told otherwise felt dishonest and dismissive, as though he was almost enjoying turning us away.

We only wanted two Margherita pizzas, and given our time constraints before the show, we would have been in and out quickly. Yet, we weren’t even offered the option to sit outside or take pizzas away. Instead, we were refused completely — left to head to the comedy show on empty stomachs after driving for hours to dine at your restaurant.

The response I received afterward, suggesting we’ll have a “better experience next time,” felt like a generic brush-off rather than genuine customer care. After what happened, that line comes across as patronising. At the very least, a 50% goodwill discount should have been offered for a future visit. Instead, I was met with denial and a lack of accountability.

I came to Rudy’s with my friend, Cristiano Ramirez, who witnessed everything firsthand. Both of us were deeply disappointed — not just by the refusal to accommodate us, but by the attitude and dishonesty that followed.

This entire experience has completely changed my perception of Rudy’s. Unless this matter is addressed properly with an apology and appropriate goodwill gesture — I will be left with no choice but to escalate this to Rudy’s head office, share the experience publicly through formal reviews and social media, and raise it with consumer rights channelsif necessary.

Bake at Home Customer Service is appalling

Bake at Home service is appalling. Delivery delayed by DPD which spoiled the delivery (need to be kept refrigerated). Impossible to contact Rudys. No phone or social media contacts. Emails are ignored. I contacted my York store who did their best to help but admitted that the Bake at Home service which is run from Manchester isn't good and they struggle to reply to customer emails. I have had to go to my credit card provider to apply chargeback to recover my costs. Good pizzas if they arrive before being spoiled by not being kept refrigerated.

Rudys Portland St Manchester

I was visiting Manchester for work and went to Rudy's for a pizza on Portland St. Manchester. It was fantastic pizza and amazing service from the young man who served me, Thomas. Very helpful and attentive. The food, ambience, service and experience were fabulous. I'll definately be back. 👌

Great pizza

Great pizza. We love our Italian holidays and the pizza we had at Rudy's was as good as any we've had in Italy. We called in to Rudy's in York,and even though they were very busy, they found us a place to sit. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Daughter's 21st birthday …

I booked a table at Rudy's in Didsbury for my daughter's21st birthday. The staff were so helpful throughout the whole process. They made such a fuss of the birthday girl and brought the cake out after our meal. The pizzas were delicious! Fantastic customer service. Big thank you to the staff there.🌟

westfield London restaurant

my daughter booked a table at the Westfield London branch. when we got there the restaurant was 3/4 empty, however the waiter tried to seat us in very close proximity to another table. I told the waiter i would rather us have another table so we asked for a table a bit further away so we were not sitting on top of other diners. i could tell the waiter was annoyed however he grudgingly sat us at another table. he then proceeded to ignore us by taking an order from people who came in after us. pretty childish act to be honest. So we got up and left. its a shame because i hear their pizzas are really nice

Execellent

I was stupid enough to fall off my bike this evening and smash my head on the road, right outside this venue.

The team were exceptional at helping & instantly gave me a place to sit & offered me a cold sugar drink along with some well recieved ice for my head and knee

Excellent customer service when they clearly in the middle of a very busy service & when I had unfortunatley & literally landed on there doorstep unannounced

Don’t order bake at home!

Placed an order a week ago for an at home delivery, the order didn’t arrive on Friday and Saturday DPD told me that Rudys had told them to destroy the order. I have had no contact from Rudys can’t get a response from their contact form, the email address bounces back and there is no phone number so right now I have no order and I am down £40. Can’t speak to anyone, can’t get a response and can’t raise a complaint.

Luke warm chewy pizza

New restaurant in West Bridgford, Nottingham. Our 1st visit to a Rudy’s.
Lots and LOTS of staff. In mid afternoon they’d run out of Burrata which features on many menu items. Asked to replace it with fresh mozzarella maybe? Was charged extra, but contested it and had it removed from the bill. Mozzarella is clearly cheaper than burrata. Also waitress couldn’t commit our whole order to memory, and an extra topping requested wasn’t added.
Pizza arrived luke warm, plus it was very doughy and chewy…think it could have been cooked a touch longer. We were right in front of the chefs so could see the problem. Either the chefs cook to order too quickly and the waiting staff can’t keep up OR the waiting staff are too slow to get the orders out, some pizzas left outside the oven for over 5 minutes waiting to go to tables. Seemed some waiting staff looked like they didn’t know what they were doing.
Salad was lovely, drinks brought promptly.
Won’t go again til the rush has died down… will go back to Pizza Express up the road!

Rudy’s Pizza restaurant is our first choice.

Currently at Rudy’s Pizza restaurant in Newcastle - about to leave! We have had three superb pizzas, drinks, olives (good quality green ones), and two side dishes of crisps (for waiting- though not long). We have really enjoyed ourselves, the place is buzzing and the atmosphere is electric! We were served by David and Joe and each were polite and friendly throughout - it’s great service that makes a difference and that difference is certainly noticeable here- Keep it up everyone- we will be back!
Ps… check out the toilets!!!!

I just ordered 2 pizza from the Rudy’s…

I just ordered 2 pizza from the Rudy’s in Sale, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! It’s so thin and tasteless!!! The dough is NOT fresh at all!!! They hardly put any toppings on!!! Completely ruin my night of ordering a take out!!! Is only a freaking pizza and I don’t know how they can screwed it up so badly!! Is making me feel sick after eating it too!!! Will NEVER order it from them again in this life time!!!!
