I would never use this mob again
I would never use this mob again, totally useless, quick to take your bookings and money but when it comes to using your flight credits they give you false information after being on the the phone for 4 hours at a time saying Virgin will help you
Nothing to do with the airline it is with these crooks
Totally disappointed
We operated a holiday rental in South…
We operated a holiday rental in South Australia from 2017-2018. Over the past couple of weeks, we have been contacted or I should say “bombarded” with phone calls by last minute, Expedia and Wotif.
For some reason they have reactivated our property!
We haven’t rented that property as a holiday rental for at least 4 years.
Now they are asking that we approve a refund for the guests. This must be a scam as we don’t offer that property anymore. For some reason, it’s up on those websites and someone is giving out my mobile and email address! What do we do?
We have been also trying to contact…
We have been also trying to contact WOTIF
To no avail

Paid top dollar
WHAT A RIP OFF
WE WILL BE PURSUING THIS FURTHER

I have tried to contact Wotif by phone
I have tried to contact Wotif by phone, and by their virtual assistant to change a booking made in error. I have been trying since I made the booking - impossible to contact. I will never use WOTIF again.
I have over $1000 in valid flight…
I have over $1000 in valid flight credits sitting in my wotif account that they refuse to let me use. Everytime I try to contact them to book a flight or use my credit, they either hang up on me or disconnect the online chat. Absolute scam and blatant theft.
Have spent multiple hours on the phone…
Have spent multiple hours on the phone trying to use some flight credit that I had since our wave of covid last year. Multiple times being told I would get a call back, saying that I had to pay a fee or I couldn't use the credit. Never got a call back and eventually had to just book other flights without the credit because of how difficult it was. Will definitely never book through Wotif again, and suggest you do not either.
Haven't got it together
Booked a trip in February, but it made the final booking in March. It wouldn't let me change, or cancel the booking. No phone numbers work, the help email doesn't exist. I wouldn't trust the site until they have sorted things out
We booked Quest Whangarei as we had…
We booked Quest Whangarei as we had read good reviews about it but unfortunately our experience left a lot to be desired.
We arrived to the hotel at about 5pm and there was no one at reception, the office was locked up. After an hour the manager finally came ( from the gym) to show us the room and was apologetic that no one was there.
On arrival the room had a very strong smell of bleach and no milk was provided on the fridge. Otherwise it was clean and tidy.
We are very disappointed and consider it was poor value for money.
Never again! Watch out
Thank booked a house in a remote place with Wotif, then booked very expensive air tickets. The owner of the house emailed me that he already booked this house on AirBnB. Customer service did nothing, but pushed me to cancel the booking and then… wait fir 10 days to get a refund (still waiting!). They refused to provide companies phone, address or directors names. They are clearly breaching the consumer law and should be prosecuted. I had nothing to do but to book a house which was more than twice expensive on booking.com and then ask friends for finance al help while waiting for refund. Those people are real scammers and they know this!
Been trying since pre Christmas to…
Been trying since pre Christmas to cancel a trip to Port Douglas all phone numbers are either disconnected or you get thru on a number and told to hang tight for 4 hours and you speak to a robot , emails just bounce back no matter what email you try to use. I urge people to report this company to consumer affairs they need to be finished up my daughter has had the same experience with this mob they are a disgrace .
DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY OR EXPEDIA UNDER…
DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY OR EXPEDIA UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! Their customer service is overwhelmingly bad. We recently tried to change our (previously booked) flight dates and upgrade our seats. They took our extra funds required for the upgrade from our credit card. Within 2 minutes they stated that we had been overcharged by $400.00 and that if we wait two hours that charge will drop off and we can contact them to pay the new amount. Well, here we are, 9 days later and still waiting for the charge to drop off. WE ARE MEANT TO FLY OUT IN 5 DAYS!!! This is a much needed holiday due to extremely hard family circumstances over the last two years. We have provided them with the Bank's authorization number so they can contact the bank and the charge can be dropped within 2-4 hours. We have been on to them everyday either via the phone or chat function. They are not competent enough to get this done!! They have provided us with a $50 compensatory hotel voucher. Are they serious? Why would we EVER go through them for anything again? This is issue is going to A Current Affair as we are sure there are many disgruntled Wotif and Expedia customers out there. PLEASE, DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR AND DO NOT USE WOTIF OR EXPEDIA.
Don't get ripped off
Their search function and customer service are horrible, within a few minutes of realizing I booked the wrong hotel I thought was in Torquay, VIC 2 month ahead my email confirmation showed a hotel in Queensland, and within 5 minutes from the booking and contacting them of the error they said they couldn't do anything about it and you need to pay cancellation penalties and deducted 1/2 the booking value on my credit card! Seriously after 5 minutes of them being notified about the error on their side! After I followed them up with an email complaint, they emailed me back and advised they are entitled to deduct up to 100% of the booking fee, seriously 100% of the booking fee after they been advised 5 minutes after an error their side! I will never use them again.
SCAMMERS!!!!!!
Booked a hotel in Darwin they went into lock down tried to change dates but apparently they couldn't get in contact with the hotel literally 2min after I was speaking to the hotel and they said they couldn't do anything yet because wotif hasn't been in contact with them this went on for days. 4 days later receive an email saying they were still unable to contact the hotel and they won't be able to make any changes so I loose my $600. After reading alot of reviews I don't seem to be the only one this has to stop. I'll be contacting A current affairs to see if they can look into this giant scam
Booked accommodation for a business…
Booked accommodation for a business trip which was easy and the resort was great, paid direct to Wotif but they will not issue a proper tax invoice so I can claim it as a business expense, an hour and a half with on line chat just added to the frustration, they will only issue a receipt that doesn't include an ABN of GST deducted.
Dishonest and unethical !
Worst booking company ever! Booked a Hotel through Wotif and had to cancel due to Covid. After Wotif assured me I would get a full refund if the Hotel agreed (which they did) I then received a partial refund and Wotif retained $227, for doing nothing! I rang their (so called) customer service line (what a joke) on numerous occasions and was told a pack of lies each time. They had absolutely no intention to honour their word, which I actually have in writing.
Unfortunately another online booking…
Unfortunately another online booking agent that doesn’t follow through. I have received an email saying that Wotif has processed my refund (after many months of haggling) and it was queued for processing on 15 August. It is now 28 August and still no money on my credit card. AND, it is almost impossible to contact them directly. Please…. I would appreciate my refund!
Can't change password.
I've been trying to change my password a few months and have requested many times for a password reset with no luck. So I tried the online assistant. A robot that cannot help as it can't find a booking number. I then tried ringing with the same result, an endless loop of questions about my booking. So I tried email next, tried 2 different emails from their "contact us" and received notification these emails were undeliverable.
I felt Scammed!
Had a booking at the Oaks Gold Coast. Then all of a sudden the government called out for a snap lock down at 4pm for 3 days. So called the hotel to find out what the rules and regulations are with guests, only to find out that they couldn't find my name and booking. Mind you Wotif already took the money from my account. Called the hotel twice to make sure. But to no avail. I was told to call Wotif for this matter. So I called Wotif to sort it out but I was told that I wouldn't get my money back because I didn't show up at the hotel? Seriously? I was told that I had no booking whatsoever. Isn't this a fault at your end?
Booked 2 rooms in Riga tried to date change
Booked 2 rooms in Riga, can’t travel because of Covid. Wanted to change dates out one year. Couldn’t do it online, it told me I had to contact customer service. Now theres an oxymoron. All up more than ten hours on hold waiting for a person. Two hour wait minimum to get to a person, if you weren’t cut off. Told they had no luck contacting the hotel. I had no trouble contacting the hotel but they couldn’t change the date unless wotif did it. I will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. And I will make sure I tell everyone I know about their appalling customer service. Or lack thereof.
Booked accom for raro last June
Booked accom for raro last June, due to covid restrictions couldn’t travel - wotif are horrible to deal with. They don’t call back, take ages to get through etc etc. Don’t use them, I never will again
