Quality cues, great value.

I have purchased 4 times from Woods Cues and each time I have received an outstanding cue. I like the fact you can choose different lengths and the EXACT cue you are ordering so can choose the particular grain and chevrons to your preference. Also they are great value for money and you can get extra long cues (60 inch) without having to pay an exorbitant fee to have them custom made. All my cues have been straight with a lovely smooth finish, perfectly fitted ferrules and well worth the money I paid. Excellent.

Fantastic for the price

I had a slight problem with the finishing on the cue but they remedied the problem immediately and barring the issues the cue plays fantastic and the Electronic snooker scoreboard and case are fantastic. Definitely looking at them for a custom cue.

Kent and the team are great to work…

Kent and the team are great to work with. had a few custom-designed cues made, the workmanship is fantastic and the end product is immaculate. No design & spec were too hard and they address all the concerns I had while building the cues. prices are very competitive too against some of the more high profile cue makers, well recommended.

5* Cue.

I have used my Woods Pool cue for 3 years now to win multiple regional & county matches -including national level student matches.
The cue is perfectly straight, affordable & good looking - They stayed in contact the whole time through delivery, i now only buy through woods. 5*

Finish is sub standard - and selective reviews!

I ordered one of the cheaper 3/4 snooker cues.

It was shipped immediately but was two weeks delayed at the border - which is nobodies fault.

The Cue arrived well packed, but the finish was just awful. Firstly, the colours of the wood look nothing like the picture. OK, a little trickery with the light, fine.
But the cue was covered in little dents and nicks, and even little droplets of varnish everywhere! The cue tip was sanded very roughly and completely misshaped - I would have preferred if they had not shaped it at all. This way I ha to spend an hour trying to correct this.

The cue is straight and the splices are nicely done. But the finish is not what can be expected even for only 60GBP. As the packing was good, this must be the production.

What was quite shocking to me is that my review never appeared on their webpage - they seem to only post the positive reviews. Not the best impression.

This website looks good

This website looks good, but i think it’s a scammed!!!!
I ordered a pool breaking cue, just to test how the company responds before ordering a real playing cue.
Ordered on 3-5-21. it’s now 14-5-21. Still no sign of delivery, contacted them, didn’t get much help, all they give you is a Dodgy link to track your delivery in which does not work.
If you’re from UK, i strongly advised ordering cues from UK.

I am extraordinarily dissatisfied with…

I am extraordinarily dissatisfied with this company's services, not only did I wait for my order for almost a month, but it was also out of order.  When I sent them an email about the problem, the company tried to prove to me in every possible way that the device (snooker electronic board) works. However, it does not display a score—terrible attitude towards their clients.  I do not recommend this company, and I will not buy anything else from them.

Don’t agree with the last comment at all...couldn’t be further from the truth!

Don’t agree with the last comments at all, I've now ordered a second cue from woods as I’m going to use my previous one as a break cue, the cues are incredible value for money and the fact you can get a really great cue and a decent sterdy case for under 100 quid is incredible....if you find the cue is a little sticky due to the lacquer then all you need to do is smooth it out a little which is easy enough to do!

My experience with Woods Cues…

It all looks great doesn’t it? Modern website, secure payment options, and most importantly, very cheap cues. It’s not….

So firstly if you didn’t already know, the cues come from China. I was hit with an import duty of 29% (which I knew was coming before I purchased), so that’s another thing to factor in when buying.

I ordered a custom-made cue. Ash, particular weight, size, length, etc. with a titanium ferrule. What arrived was totally different. Not titanium, brushed steel of all things (this is what a highly rated UK cue maker tells me). And it’s a totally different diameter.

I contacted Woods to query this, and was told they only stock these and brass, despite Titanium ferrule clearly written on THEIR invoice.
They offered to send a “small gift”, which is a clear admission of guilt.

They knew well and thought I wouldn’t notice. The throw (deflection/squirt) is awful, worse than any cue I’ve ever used which is ironic considering the titanium ferrules are supposed to have even less throw than brass.

As for the cue itself, I ordered their “3 Star” shaft, supposedly the best wood they have. The cue has a lacquer…….
If your hand is even a little sweaty, it squeaks when you deliver the cue. Had to sand it off straight away, terrible.
The wood also flexes a lot. I’ve been told the cue is bending a lot when playing screw shots. Relative to my old cue, I’ve been struggling to get the work on the cue ball.

So if you’re new to the game, the cues are cheap and usable. That’s about all I can say.
If you want literally anything better than a “cheap and cheerful” option, these cues are not for you based off my experience.

The Cue, with extensions and a case (which I have to admit are absolutely fine), came to roughly €350. A lot of money to pay for a poor product.

If it looks too good to be true, it usually is.
