We were in Portugal in Mar/April and…
We were in Portugal in Mar/April and wanted to watch English tv so we tried to get connected but we could not answer the questions asked of us so we gave up on it and told your customer service to cancel the account. We were very disappointed, your set up website is not user friendly and when we go back to Portugal in September we will try another service. Thx Trish

Did not work
Did not work. Very complicated a complete waste of money. Help desk helped but didn't solve the problem.
I gave up as didn't need it that badly yo waste my holiday trying to get it to work.

A simple solution to a frustrating problem
I had been frustrated to find I couldn’t watch any UK streaming TV (ITVX, BBC iPlayer) while on a recent stay in Italy. Finding WhenAway and its simple VPN service solved the issue straight away without any further problems. Cost for a month’s pass was very good value.

Poor technical support
Things were fine until I had to reset my laptop then try to get the VPN working again. I could´t so I contacted the support team. The help came in the form of emails that bounced back and forth for about a week or so. Nothing that I was advised to do worked and all that I asked for was a set of simple, non-technical set of instructions to help me get things back as they were. No joy!
Nothing but frustration then annoyance.
The VPN system works very well once working but the technical support is shockingly poor. If you are not technically minded then beware.

5/3/23 whilst in Jamaica we wanted to catch up on some of the English tv found When away in stalled there ap and was able to stream all the tv we needed, 10 out of 10 for when away will use them again in September when we visit the USA .

Too complicated
Customer service responded very quickly but for me it was too complicated a set up process and could not watch anything on tv.
I managed to watch a programme on my phone.
