Amazing service. Marius (Driver) collected my car in the morning for a service at the Newbury branch and had my car back to me by 2pm just in time for the school run, he was very friendly and professional. Couldn’t recommend enough!
If you go to Waylands Bristol ask for Tom May, he goes the extra mile to get you a great deal highly recommended

Harry collected my car in good time in the morning, and bought it back promptly in the afternoon, explaining clearly what had been done.
The service was good: booked when I wanted it, approval clearly sought for extra work. Staff friendly and helpful not pushing unnecessary work. A service plan takes away a good part of the pain.

From popping in for more information on the Ex30, test driving it (twice) to driving it home, our experience was faultless. The whole team were approachable, friendly and knowledgeable, nothing was to much trouble.

I ordered dashcam for a Volvo XC90 (which i bough from them 2 weeks earlier) from Waylands Oxford on 20 January and paid in full the same day. After that, communication was extremely poor. I had to chase for updates myself.
I was then advised the work would instead be completed during a service appointment, which I agreed to. However, the day before the booking, nobody at the dealership seemed to know anything about it.
Overall, the aftersales experience has been very disappointing—disorganised, unclear, and lacking basic communication. I would not expect this level of service when purchasing a car of this value.
When you’re buying a car for a lot of money, you expect to be treated well—not just during the sale, but afterwards too. Unfortunately, once the payment was made, the level of care and service dropped significantly.
If you don’t want to be as disappointed as I was, I would recommend avoiding them.
Great service and advice, very smooth experience. Harry collect and dropped off my vehicle, very polite and informed me of some handy features on my car I wasn't aware of.
Would recommend.

Wow what service! I rang into the service department of Waylands Oxford late morning, was offered a pick up of the car next day at 8am. I live 40 miles away. Harry arrived promptly and took the car cheerily away (“I think I know your problem”). He did. They had pre-ordered the part - well done Dan! And by midday they had fixed the car (thank you Naomi) and Harry appeared back (again very cheerily) with the car at 1.30pm. A door to door service all within 26 hours. Exceptional service and all done under warranty. Thank you.

Phil delivered a courtesy car to my home whilst my car was in for repair.
He had rung the previous evening and made the arrangements which were carried out bang on time.
His attitude was extremely polite, an excellent ambassador for his company.

Waste of time, arranged a test drive for a Kia Sorento. When I turned up the demonstrator car was a 2 year old previous model which is totally different from the latest model. Why have an outdated demonstrator????Totally wasted my time! How they expect to sell cars when then can’t even get one for me to test drive is beyond me. Not recommended. Will try a dealer who can actually show the model of car I am interested in.

Having been a Volvo customer almost all my 30+ year driving life, the on-going lack of any customer service from Waylands Volvo Reading has been nothing short of diabolical.
I have had cars serviced by Waylands Volvo for over 10 years, but my current XC90 Hybrid has now been with them for 4 months waiting for a part for the electric motor. In February, the Service Team at Waylands Reading (i.e. just one dealership) admitted they had 4 other cars all waiting for the same part – nearly 2 months on, I’d guess that number will now be higher. If you’re thinking of buying one of Volvo’s flagship hybrid cars, the Company’s systematic failure to be able to source and fix a core element on these cars is seriously worrying.
Having regularly complained to the Service team without meaningful response, I sought to escalate matters to the Dealership’s General Manager, and Volvo UK. Using the email address provided by the Service Team, the Waylands General Manager has completed ignored my emails (not even an acknowledgement); and Volvo UK have simply sent me the occasional automated response saying they are “investigating matters”. Volvo UK did say that if I do not get an acceptable response in 8 weeks, I can approach the Motor Ombudsman. Having not had my car for 4 months, I have lodged a complaint with the Ombudsman, but as it appears to be funded by the manufacturers, it says it may take them 6 months to respond, and so I am not hopeful of a quick or independent hearing!
Meanwhile, my car continues to sit in their ‘pound’. I am getting no updates, and so I do not know if it will be fixed in 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years – or ever!
Prior to being directed to the General Manager by the Service Team, I looked on Waylands’ website to try contacting its Customer Service Team, but despite the website saying: “Do you have a question or query? Contact our customer services team today”, there is no actual contact details for that Team. If you go to “Contact Us”, all you’re directed to is the local dealership, and for Volvo Reading, then either the Sales, Service or Parts team – none of which I want!
I have never resorted to Social Media before, but perhaps this route will lead to an actual person meaningfully engaging with me, and answering my questions that I have been posing for many weeks and months!?
I found purchasing a new car from Waylands straightforward mostly due to the helpfulness of Tom May the salesman. He dealt with some problems I encountered with Volvo very efficiently and was always happy to help with sorting out the paperwork. He was very helpful and eternally positive which made the whole experience much easier

We had super service from Marcus, one of the sales team. He helped us find a used car within our restrictive criteria and budget and was a delight to deal with. Offered additional options but without feeling they were being pushed onto us. Highly recommend, and love the car!
