Super lovely staff make all the difference

I went to Wagamama is Stratford London Westfield on Sunday 13th April to celebrate my son's 6th birthday. I went along with my whole family - my 4 siblings, my two children, my nephew and my elderly father (who is in his late 90s).
Because we were a large group and had various needs (particularly trying to ensure my father was comfortable) we moved a few times. Despite the hustle and bustle, disruption and constant changing the staff were just lovely. In particular, Cerice and Mariamma were warm, friendly, smiley and accommodating. I would have given just them a healthy tip if I could (although I did tip the restaurant).
The food was also lovely and service was great. But most importantly thank you to Cerice and Mariamma for making our evening so lovely. I hope you get told about this review and rewarded somehow. We all enjoyed ourselves and my son was super chuffed.

So inconsiderate

So inconsiderate.

i placed an order for the Chicken and prawn Yakisoba but as i only eat halal i usually just get the Prawn. On the deliveroo App you cannot make adjustments. However it says if you have any dietary requirements then you must call the restaurant . So i did and the woman i spoke to was rude, inconsiderate and unhelpful. said she cannot remove the chicken as its policy (which it did say to call). She then said i had to go in store which is a pointless policy for delivery and wouldn’t let me cancel the order or give me a refund.

don’t recommend going !

Disgusting food, horrible atmosphere

The most horrible place I have been to for a long time. Atmosphere is horrible! You have to queue for about 20 minutes to be let in, then you're kept by the door for another 10-15 minutes. The place is filthy and crowded, extremely noisy and unpleasant.

Food: the most disgusting thing I've put in my mouth for a very long time. It was some duck with sticky rice. The meat was edible, however, the sticky rice was over boiled rice which was mushy basically, nothing sticky about it.

The meal generally tasted as if it's been cooked in the toilet seat, horrible. There was a fried egg with the meal, well boy oh boy the imbeciles in the kitchen can't even fry an egg properly. Burnt in old fat and plonked on the rice. There was something resembling salad, which basically got cooked on the hot rice. Some mushy consistence of hot cucumber and some other salady leaves also got cooked by the hot meal.

Then I looked around to see who's cooking the food. So seems this waga mama place is a fast food chain using young lads to prepare the food. Those lads don't know how to fry an egg but have beep put in there to prepare Asian food when they don't know how to make a simple toast.

Ingredients are cheap ones sold at a significant premium.

Overall, I'll never set my foot at this local, my kids insisted on us going there. I reluctantly agreed but that's it. I'll never, set my foot in there.

The place is a complete RIP OFF, food is more disgusting than a street vendor in the outskirts of Bangkok or Manila.

I'd give them no stars but 1 is the minimum allowed

Got a carry out of chicken & prawn pad…

Got a carry out of chicken & prawn pad thai & a yaki soba from Glasgow Fort. Mine had one small prawn & three pieces of chicken - my husband didn’t fare much better. We have enjoyed the food before but probably won’t be back due to the lack of value for money!

Wagamama Clifton, Bristol

Wagamama Clifton, Bristol, did a fantastic job catering for my parents 57th Wedding Anniversary on 23rd March 2025, providing multiple courses piping hot for 14 people in the afternoon.

Thank you also for the complementary tea and cookery book.

Poor service, ok food but not worth the hype

We decided to try Waggamama's for lunch after all the hype. We asked for a table for my wife & I and waitress looked confused as to where to seat us as I was in a w/chair. We were seated in front of a swing door, but rather than asking me if I wanted to sit on the bench she had the bench removed and I was positioned at the table. Whilst perusing the menu there was a large bang behind us as the swing door came open and the next thing i know is something collided with the back of my chair propelling me forward, smashing my knees into the metal bar under the table and even though I let a cry of pain no one came to the table they just told the guy with the sack barrow he couldn't come oin right now and then left the door open and we were hit with an ice breeze. We were then moved to another table and at first she expected me to sit in a gap right next to a couple even though the rest of the table was clear. I sat on the bench this as my knees were still hurting and didn't want to take anymore chances. I took a large chilli pepper off my wife's plate to try whilst I waited for my own meal and it was like chewing on a piece of leather, so I asked the waiter if that's how it should be like that and before he answered he proceed to lay on the table, leaning on his elbow the said "yeah that's how they are, want anything else?" then left. The food was ok but not living up to the hype, it wasn't particularly warm. When we came to pay it asked for a tip, whichwe hadn't planned on leaving as the service & the food wasn't great but the machine wouldn't allow you to put in zero so my wife put in 2 pence just to be able to proceed to the payment section.

Useless takeout and customer service

The number of times an order has been wrong for take out is insane. It’s a miracle if the order is correct ! Portion sizes for takeout are tiny and customer service - in particular the Bridgend branch by manager and takeout operators is extremely poor. Frustrating company.

Burnt chicken!

I ordered my favourite dish for delivery - Firecracker Chicken. Not only did it arrive late - and lukewarm - it smelt burnt when I took off the lid. Some of the chicken was burnt on the bottom which meant the whole dish had a burnt taste to it. I won’t be purchasing from the Wembley branch again for the fact that they allowed burnt food to be sent out to a paying customer!

Worst Ramen Ever.

This was the worst ramen I have ever eaten.Ordered chilli chicken ramen from the Enfield branch via deliveroo and it arrived so cold it must have travelled through a hyper chiller to reach its arrival temp as the branch is less than 2 miles from my home.Despite this and rather Ironically, it must have reached a decent heat at some point to render the rice noodles so overcooked in the ghastly tasteless broth, they disintegrated into rice grains as soon as fork was applied. (chopsticks certainly not an option) The lonely chopped salad onion and singular coriander leaf stood no chance of influencing the bland zero flavoured tomatoish water. Hope of any nod to this Japanese classic was only occasionally lifted by a strand of red onion and small slice of red chilli. Unami? no, more Noami. To add insult to gastro injury, the bang bang cauliflower which promised to be ‘crispy' Was like overcooked soggy mashed loo roll covered in a sweet, spicy, sticky goo. Avoid unless you need something to repair shed roof.

Bad value, tiny portion sizes.

The size of portion for the money is utterly ridiculous.
We ordered a Deliveroo from our local Wagamama.
The Bang Bang Cauliflower was literally a floret not even close to a quarter of cauliflower divided between two. It cost us over £8. When I opened the pot I was embarrassed to serve it up.
The prawn crackers were pitiful.
As customers there is Shrinkflation as well as inflation of prices. The end consumer is being fleeced. I will NOT buy again.

Mouldy spoon given to granddaughter!

Food was nice, everything was going well. Spent with my granddaughter, she had the kids meal, which she enjoyed. Until, they brought out her ice cream which she chose for dessert, and served it with a MOUDLY spoon 🤢🤮 I am mortified, we just wanted a nice family meal. I have taken a picture because I was so shocked.
