Dirty restraint unfriendly staff , poor quality food , lack of good management

Wagamama's first time there what a shambles, entered the location (designer retail east midlands), explained we'd never been before and queried how it works, the first response from the waitress was "oh really?!?" in a sarcy manner as though we should have been there hundreds of times, she then eventually explained seating and to use the QR code on the placemat and order through the app with table number....

Right okay I thought, guess it works similar to places like Pizza Hut, as in order and pay then your food will arrive, started doing this but on the app it rejected the table number so I thought okay odd, but I'll catch one of the staff and ask, asked the main bloke who greets people at the entrance if he could assist and he said "ahhhh mate its because you haven't placed an order yet" and off he went... Ok so I'm meant to place an order via app? waitress? who knows? No guidance whatsoever.

I presume it was the waitress at this stage, which was correct and finally placed an order, whilst the food was okay it was extremely bland and watered down as others have mentioned, which was a total let down especially when the bill came, this place is insanely overpriced, sadly will never return to a wagamama, as the guidance and service was dismal and the meals nothing to be excited about, its just overhyped, overpriced and nothing special, my advice save your money as there are far better places to eat out with less obscurity, better pricing better service and overall quality.

Disgusting service. Out 6year old son won’t eat your food but me and my wife wanted to eat, but we was denied saying it’s policy he can’t eat a mcds in your shop, So you loose out on money because you don’t allow it. You need to change your policy’s! And customer service of the Crawley branch! Will not be eating with you again!

Just been to Trafford centre restaurant , 9 year old grandsons birthday , all staff were excellent , food was excellent , we took a cake that unfortunately we could not use because of the company policy of no nuts , however all 4 of us were offered a free pudding because of this , I declined mine because I wouldn’t of have one anyway , would you like a pint instead the waitress said ? Go on then it would be rude not to , many thanks . I was very impressed with every aspect of our visit 100% recommended 👌

The staff in Wagamama Sheffield town bridie Leopold square offered me water with ice in this hot weather , she’s lovely person

Undercooked veggies. Over cooked noodles. Frozen smelly salmon fish which was dry and chewy. Other tines we have experimenced cold ramen. Don’t ever go there

Lovely food but my teriyaki donbury was smaller than usual. I went to this particular restaurant many times and it was never that small

We are a famiy of 3 who went to Wagamama at Ashford Outlet last night. I haven't been to Wagamama for a few years and I was so disappointed with the food! The staff were ok but definately not as attentive as I remember. We waited too long for 2 glasses of water and twice the wrong food/drink was brought over to us which was meant for other tables. The staff were polite but it just seems a bit disorganised and rushed. Food was brought to us in very good time so no complaints there but the food was far too sweet, sickly sweet, any flavour was disolved from all the dishes we received. They just didn't taste fresh at all. We were so shocked at how extortionate the costs are considering the quaility of the food and amount you get. My husband was hungry less than an hour after leaving the restaurant which is not want you want to hear when you have paid over £100 for a meal for 3. It's such a shame as I have been to Wagamama's hundreds of times over the years. I have been put off visiting ever again.

4 of us went for a meal on Sunday 7th June at the 02 branch and must say the service was very poor and the prices were extortionate for what you get, example the prawn lollipop is advertised as 3 skewers but I was definitely expecting more than 2 prawns per skewer I almost sent it back but didn’t want to spoil our day. Our meal took 45 minutes after we had finished our starters we had to ask for spoons when our ice cream came because they never brought them before and when my friend asked for a spoon to stir his coffee they brought him a tablespoon ! If that isn’t bad service I don’t know what is. Don’t think we will be visiting Wagamama’s again .

Visited wagamama east Midlands. Can honestly say it is the worst service I have experienced. I was seated and given the table number they write on the place mat then told about offers on the app. I proceeded to find the table.number did not exist. I watched as other customers came in afterwards and were given menus and getting service. After 25 minutes I walked out having not received even a menu, let alone acknowledgement from a member of staff, never mind the alleged server named Harriet. Won't go back again, plenty of choice around. If they go out of business then they need to take a hard look at the manager and staff. Very poor.

Very disappointing meal!
Ordered the Chicken and Prawn Yaki Soba Noodles from the lunch menu which were flavourless with a few cold prawns and a couple of tiny pieces of chicken.
I have always enjoyed Wagamama's for its tasty food and consistency across all branches.
However after this visit I doubt I will return.
The server was very helpful when I questioned if the prawns should be cold and got the chef to re-make my dish, however apart from now having a few warm prawns in it it was still incredibly bland and basically a plate of warm noodles with peppers and onion.
If a restaurant can't afford to put decent food on at a special price then they shouldn't bother.

We had Perry at Cribbs causeway Wagamamas and he was very understanding and cheerful and to help me with my gluten intolerance.

Went to the Cheshire Oakes site today, very busy but staff worked extremely hard. It’s gotten a lot more expensive and I’m sure some of the portions have shrunk, but, all overheads have increased! Food was lovely and the young lady serving us was really bubbly and pleasant. I especially enjoyed my matcha and strawberry frappe. With the 20% discount it makes Waga reasonable again. Thanks all 🤗

Ordered a chicken and prawn yaki udon ..... Would not recommend it firstly served on a flat plate and went cold too quickly but just a pile of noodles with a very poor amount of chicken and prawn .... I did make the server know the dissatisfaction and she apologised but will not be returning

Just had a driver on a moped that was delivering for St Albans branch, I was turning right and he sped pass me in a 20, I luckily saw him at the last second to prevent running him over. He started yelling and shouting at me. I then followed him back to wagamamas, where his friend and work colleague joined him in the abuse. I then reported this to the manager of wagamama, who said it was nothing to do with them, he then proceeded to make up some story about feeling threatened and refused to give his name. This is very poor management and also covering up of very poor driving and aggressive behaviour. This is a very poor decision from the manager and not taking responsibility for the delivery company is unacceptable. Shall be discussing the driving with the police. As for the manager, not worth mentioning!

went for food tonight trafford centre wagamama 14/05/26 got served by Veronica and i’ve worked in hospitality for years and genuinely can say the definition of the best customer service was delivered by her, don’t write reviews but had to because of the level of service we received, please pass this onto her that she is a prime example and needs a promotion if she wants to progress outstanding, check back’s was spot on and genuine care and humour was 10/10, lovely woman, we will be back again, please pass this onto her manager and to herself - thank you - Keenan

The experience was fine back in the day when you were paying sub £10 for noodles but now you’re rushed over to a rock hard bench right next to some dude slurping his soup and the bill comes to £20+. I don’t enjoy going anymore. Sorry Wags.

We always go (or used to) the Wagamama's at York Designer Outlet. The staff are great, and nice to see regular faces.
My issue is the menu. Why change whats a high performer? As a family we love squid, and always had Chilli squid and Tama Squid as starters, and wife loved the Pad Thai. Then Tama Squid & Pad Thai taken off the menu. When we asked the server, he said 'they always do it, take off the best selling items'.
We used to go 3/4 times a month, that's how much we loved it, along with the Cherry Blossom Gin. But now haven't been in months.
I don't expect Wagamama's to reintroduce items just for us, but why on earth remove items that are highly popular.? Cant recall the date of last visit so put Jan 26.

Inhave been attending Waggas since it 1st opened and i would travel to Manchester to attend the underground basement jail house type setting. Amazing. The food is always delicious and still is. Tonight my meal was ruined by a selfish waitres, working alone, chose to sit well paying adults (£80 a shot) bang up close to children and other people when the room had at least 15 other empty tables. Rather than spread us out I had a child balling in my ear !!!! Disgusting.
