Vitalchek Charged $70.00 For Nothing

Charged $70.00 for a marriage certificate I never got. No way to track the order. They gave me an estimated three months to deliver it. The date came and went. Don't fall for it. Save your money! Best way to order your vital records is to go through a town's website.

Has to leave one star

Has to leave one star, but is should be zero rating. Worst call center/customer experience in a years! Oder placed in late May, Despite being told in late July that my order was complete and to allow 20-25 business days for "processing by the issuing agency', nothing received. Last week, received a partial refund cancelling the order. Nasty cover letter indicated 'despite repeated requests for additional info" (!) it was not complete. Obviously, I was lied to TWICE that it was complete.
Outrageously long hold times, (30-45 minutes) and they play the callback game where the phone never rings, and a canned voicemail message is left, (Hi, this is Denise from VitalChek, sorry I missed you blah, blah, blah) Exact same message 3 times in one day. For a company of this size and supposed stature, (they emphasize they are 'trusted') this is singularly poor service. If the call center is overwhelmed, ramp up staffing. How about telling the truth, too.
Any way NOT to use them for a future vital record need is the path I'll take.

Lying Sacks of 💩

Wife ordered her birth certificate from Cook County IL to renew her driver's license on 22 July. Was told 22-25 business days with express mail return. Document status wasn't updated to requested until afternoon of Monday, August 24th. Call to VitalChek said it will be here the 26th. Guess what isn't here and hasn't been shipped yet either. This place is a total ripoff and these government agencies are enabling it.
