Iam particularly interested in herbs both culinary and medicinal. This company has a very good selection to chose from at reasonable prices My initial order for 4 plants arrived in good time and good condition. I will certainly be ordering some more plants shortly

I have been asked by Victorian Nurseries to rate their plants. They wrote "But in a world where people seem more than happy (and fast) to criticise, if you have a moment at some time, we’d very much welcome you rating us"
So this is not to criticise but to factually state what I found when ordering from them.
Royalmail is not a good choice when sending plants but mine came through quite quickly..within a couple of days. So the state of the plants cannot be because of long travelling time but they were roughly handled.
Compared to other suppliers, the plants are very under developed and small. Their compost block grown cut and come again cauliflowers are no more than immature plug plants with a few weak and now battered leaves. Their 7cm pots are only 7cm tall. Other suppliers with similar prices have 8cm -9cm pots that are 10cm tall. Their battered appearance I will put down to travelling through the postal system with very little effective padding. Placing a pile of shredded newspaper on top of plants laid directly on the bottom of the box does not work! However the yellowing and browning around the edges I was not prepared for. How long have they been in the box? These very poor quality plants will have to be nursed into health before being planted out otherwise they will be attacked by slugs who recognise and go for weak plants. To be fair the Burn Jelly plant is in excellent health and very robust.
I suggest that the folks at Victoriana nursery should buy a few herbs from a few suppliers to see what quality other suppliers are providing customers with and to learn how to pack the plants effectively.
To get good reviews its a no brainer that the plants have to be healthy and well cared for. Maybe folks, as an experiment send yourselves plants to see what happens to them in the post. I will not be shopping at Victorian Nurseries again when for the same price I can buy good healthy plants from other suppliers.

Before the plants arrived, they kept me in touch with delivery arrangements. The plants arrived as scheduled today in excellent condition. They are well-developed with a good root system. Very pleased.

Well packed & labeled fragile, live plants but DPD seem unable to read as box was torn & broken open

I needed to place a big (for me) order of plants, so I was delighted with the prices Victoriana Nursery offered. Given that they were comparable to some of the discount operators, I didn't have especially high expectations of quality. I couldn't have been more wrong!

The plants were of exceptional quality. They were lush with strong root growth and clearly packed with care and attention. One plant looked a little less robust than the others, but it's mint! I planted it anyway, and it's happily doing its little minty stuff.

There's no doubt that this company is filled with people who care about both their customers and their plants. I'm so glad I found them and I'll be ordering again

Delivery was damaged in the post. Replaced generously and quickly. I've been using this company for years now and can highly recommend them.

Excellent. I have bought several lots of plants from the Victorian Nursery, and all have been healthy, and of a good size. They arrive in good condition and are carefully packaged. Thankyou to all the staff there!

Fuchsia: - Good range, good quality, fair price. Some plants seemingly unique to them. Minor hiccup over delivery time - I think that they had a staffing problem coupled with an order surge. In other words tough running a business of living things. Sorted easily, professionally and politely via e-mail with no negative effect / consequence. Plants arrived well packaged ahead of time! Happy to recommend.

I've got quite a few seeds going this year from Victoriana Gardens and looking forwards to the veg. Really helpful when I got into a problem with one of the veg and shared how to re-pot.

From the time I placed the order to taking delivery the communications were extremely good and kept me informed at all times.
When the plants arrived they were in top condition and packaged keeping the plant health in mind.
I can highly recommend this company and I will be glad to use them again.

Victorian Nursery provide such healthy happy plants! Especially love the recycled packaging. I can often find rarer plants with VN that I can’t find elsewhere… especially old school culinary and herbal plants.

Ancho Chile arrived in great shape and well packaged with recycled paper. Potted on straight away and growing beautifully.

Excellent experience. Plants are very strong & sturdy well labelled, good pots. Arrived on time, well packaged with enough moisture to "keep them as fresh as possible".
