Great end to end process

Great booking process, communication and timely digital delivery of out tickets, couldn't have been better and was by far a much better experience than other ticket platforms I have had to use. Thank you Viagogo!

The service is very good but to costly

The service is very good. But the ticket prices too high. As a Hematologist I saved a lot of lives with personal engagement and no win. You get a lot of additional money (50%) with reselling tickets for people who have no time to stay from the first moment on internet to grasp the ticket at the price offered by HCD.

VIAGOGO is extremely unprofessional ticketing service.

VIAGOGO is the company which sold to me tickets for double price and finally they sent false tickets with completely invalid personal details. Football game NL vs. PL 14th of Nov 2025. Order No 627591086. They took money in advance and charged triple price for the tickets. VIAGOGO is unprofessional. Not responding to enquiries. Must be delegalized in Europe.

Baffled

I'm baffled that this company is even legal and the banks work with them.
They are pure scammers. I guess I am too naieve that just because you had a website with connection to payment methods, you are not breaking the law on a massive scale..

Short, we got sold a duplicated ticket and someone else claimed it. Not even gonna bother with the reclaim process because from what i read, they drag it on, this is their way of making money.

Last-minute ticket cancellation, and no compensation

I ordered 2 tickets for the Gad Elmaleh show in Fribourg (24 May 2025, 8 PM) via Viagogo and paid CHF 221.61. The tickets were promised to arrive by 5 PM via email on the day of the event.

They never arrived. At 7:37 PM – less than 30 minutes before the show – I was told the seller could not provide the tickets. No replacement, no proper help, no support despite their so-called “guarantee”.

We were already at the venue. We paid for fuel, parking, and dinner. The only offer was a vague refund of the ticket price “within 8 days”. Are we even going to get this money back? What about all the time and money we lost?

This is unacceptable. From what I’ve read online, this isn’t a one-time error. It’s a recurring pattern. Do NOT trust Viagogo. They are unreliable and not consumer-friendly.

Got the tickets but waited a lot

Bought the tickets, received and went to the concert. It's true that tickets are more expensive then in other websites. The advantage is that in my case the tickets for this event were sold out everywhere else. I was skeptical when they said that "it is common for venues, artists, and teams to release tickets closer to the event" but in the end went well. 3 stars and not 5 because I bought the tickets 6 months in advanced and received them 24 hours before the event. I think this process needs to be improved

I paid 3 times the normal price

I paid 3 times the normal price, Chf 116.- for the reservation and they would not give me my tickets because they told me that they don't have it. It tried to sell them but it was writing that the validity of the sell was after the concert begin time. So I decide to cancel everything but it was not possible. It is really a trap and I suggest to close this site for ever. I don't understand how this kind of swiss site can still sell tickets.

If a problem occurs you are in serious trouble!

++ Update: Read end of review for guidance on how to increase the chances of getting a refund from viagogo through your credit card issuer ++

Somebody wrote on trustpilot that you have a 50/50 chance that you are served as you should by these low performers at viagogo. I believe that is a good way to put it.

Your order might go through easily. But if there are any irregularities, then you will find yourself in truly kafkaesk trouble.

I am not going to complain about ticket prices. Blame yourself not viagogo if you are so naive to believe tickets are sold at the original price (supply and demand) on a secondary market.

I paid for two e-tickets for Lady Gaga on 18 June. Those tickets were not downloadable, I only got error messages no matter what browser I used.

I informed the customer service about the issue the next day. I got a reply which stated that the "dedicated team" would get in touch with me "shortly".

One week passed, still no message from this disgraceful company. I wrote again.

Another week passed. Still no reply. I wrote a third message.

In week three I called the customer service and also told about my problem. A lady replied that they were on it. And shortly after I received an email that the "dedicated team" would get in touch with me "shortly" (we've heard that before, haven't we?)

In week four (12 July) I call again. This is were I am finally told what the problem is: viagogo had erased the tickets in their system - but they were still listed as on sale. They would now try to fix this by asking the original seller to upload the tickets again within 24 hours.

Of course nothing happened. On 14 July I called again. They would now make arrangements for replacement tickets (should not have been a problem since there were more than 1000 tickets available on viagogo that day).

And did I receive replacement tickets? You guessed it. Of course not. I write another message. The weekend team replies that "our specialist cutomer support team" was now "monitoring" my purchase and writes that the organiser releases tickets only a few days before the event (remember: I was earlier told that they had erased the tickets by mistake themselves).

That is when I finally had enough of those template answers from a completely useless "customer service". I gave them until today (17 July, noon) to organise the tickets otherwise I would report the transaction made by credit card to my cc-company and request a charge back.

What happend? Nothing of course, apart from a reply that they were "looking into it".

I strongly recommend anybody who faces problems with this abmysal company (or any other) to request a charge back from your credit card issuer (I learned this from an expert who is in charge of credit card transactions at a credit card acquiring company - the acquirer are the ones who serve the merchants, the issuers the consumers). You will need proof that you tried to solve the problem with the merchant. If that proof is solid your issuer will charge back the amount billed by the merchant and you have your money back - only in justified cases, of course. Using a credit card gives you leverage you don't have if you pay by bank transfer or your bank card (debit card).

+++ UPDATE 1 August +++

I got a full refund from viagogo. It is not entirly clear whether viagogo acted by themselves (which I seriously doubt) or whether they acted once my credit card issuer started inquiring my fraud complaint (which I am pretty sure is the reason).

Now why did they react and make a refund? According to my acquaintance who is a credit card expert they rather refund quickly than go into the complex charge back process. This is because if the credit card issuer supports your position, the merchant will not receive the monies charged, additionally being penalised financially and its score with MasterCard/Visa will deteriorate which in the long term will make it more costly to use the cc services.

+++ Update 8 August +++

Like I thought: my credit card issuer confirms, they started the charge back process with viagogo just two days before the refund was made. Only pressure works with crooks.

ABSLOUTE SCAM!

ABSLOUTE SCAM!!

Bought tickets to HK Ballet for a lovely weekend with my partner - but, found out 5 days prior to the event that the address was wrong in my account. I am not the person to get stuff like this wrong nor have I used that address in years. Even so, I told them and they gave me the "Viagogo Guarantee" that the tickets would arrive in time. Days go by, and no one even cares to reach out to give me an update. I called at least 15x times to try and find another route to receive my tickets. But, alas, they don't really care since you've already paid. I was told I'd receive the refund but just got a call saying that I was wrong. What company in the world says "you're wrong" to the customer? Fact is, I gave them plenty of time to find a solution and they decided it wasn't worth their time to help me. They are a fraudulent company and anyone who willing works for them is heartless. I am fighting this and I will get my refund.

Scam

Scam - They sold me 2 Tickets at CHF 42 each and on the ticket I received it appears that they then bought them directly from the producer at CHF 20 each after I had already paid them. The Google search took me to their platform and I assumed it was legitimate sale by the producer. Customer Service - difficult to reach - says that they only are reselling tickets - which appears to be a lie if they purchased the tickets after I paid them. Also without clearly informing me - all prices were always shown in CHF - and yet final charge was in EURO, creating further FX charges by the credit card company. STAY AWAY FROM VIAGOGO - You can find cheaper and better supported alternatives and don't need a middle-man with more than 100% mark-up.

My experience with Viagogo is really bad. I ordered Bruno Mars concert tickets with them. They sent it via post. According to the post office and tracked parcel, the handwriting on the envelop was so bad that the post couldn't figure out what the address was and returned it to them. They haven't informed me while they have my email address and my phone number.
They don't have any phone number to be contacted on. So I could only fill in a form on their website. It's 3 days prior to the concert and I still haven't heard back from them.

Disappointed and ripped off!

Ordered Adele tickets for Zurich at a cost of 762.91chf. Tickets were returned to sender by Swiss post. Never had a problem before and often receive packages from them. Swiss post advised to contact seller. Numerous phone calls to try to find a number j could talk to a person. Over 19 emails to customer service email- knew was replied to to advise tickets had been returned to sender. Useless response as I new this but had no way of contacting sender. One message reply from various messages on Twitter and no reply from Facebook. Was totally gutted as this was my friends treat who is currently going through cancer treatment. Hotel was paid and everything. No tickets arrived.....Total lack of customer service and care. Their guarantee is not being upheld and absolutely no contact. Do Not use this site! Total disappointment!!!!!! Have turned to this site to see if I can actually get somewhere 😢

SCAM DO NOT BUY HERE

I'll be honest and say we're a bit disappoint with the lack of customer service as we've emailed several times without any response. We have two issues that need to be resolved. Firstly, our profile setting was set to Hong Kong, before the tickets were purchased I took a photo of the screen to confirm the pricing with my partner. The screen was in HK dollars. So you can imagine our complete shock when we found that we had actually been charged in US dollars. What we thought was HK1665 ( x2 = 3680HK) was actually in US dollars. So we paid in total 3,836.83 US dollars for two tickets which is 29,785.27 HK. I'm sure you can understand the frustration. Also the tickets that were purchased are B Reserved. When you hover over the ticket that was purchased It's a floor ticket. What the actual seller gave us was Section 113, Row 15, Seat 15/16. When we asked the seller (30min before the show started) she said this was the B Reserved ticket and left the casino quickly. All messages went unanswered. This ticket and seat section were in the back of the stage... honestly the worst tickets in the house. We were going to just soak up the loss but given the fact that we were charges quadruple the price and the tickets that we received were not what we even paid for... we have an issue. We wrote to Viagogo after we noticed the huge charge and after 15 days they wrote back that they could't do anything because we didn't call right when we got the tickets. Firstly, they don't even list a customer service number on their site (sign number one!)... who were we suppose to call? But what we find really frustrating is the fact they won't stick by their 100% promise that they make you. Their seller sold bad tickets and they won't do anything about it. You've been warned! Don't buy here!!! Keep in mind we were also charged a $500 US dollar 'booking fee'... Insanity. Poor to zero customer service. Really awful company and I'll do everything in my power to make sure everyone knows about it until they fix the issue. DON'T BUY HERE!!!!

Rip-Off Con-Artists

I've just purchased pre-sales tickets for the Foo Fighters from a "reputable" website. At £79.50 each for general admission, they're not cheap. However, as soon as they went on sale, the slime-bags at Viagogo were offering exactly the same tickets for £148 each, PLUS £44 "booking fee". How they justify this is anyone's guess. And the worst thing? No guarantee whatsoever is given that you'll even get to the gig after paying DOUBLE what the tickets are worth. Scum like this should not be in business.
