Do not rent with this company

Do not rent with this company, the lack of communication is horrible. We got switched over from LHS and wasn’t aware things could get worse but it did. There’s no contact number so the only rapid form of communication is through sending enquiries on the app, which takes extremely wrong to get a response let alone produce a back and forth conversation. We decided to put up with it as our tenancy was nearing, but now we require a reference from the agency and their responses are terrible that this issue still hasn’t been sorted out even though it’s an urgent matter, and unlike most letting agents, there’s no number you can call. I do not recommend moving in. The properties are not amazing for the price and the quality of communication is so terrible that it drags down the entire value of the property.

The company that don't care

stay away!! I have been living at Paradise View in Birmingham for almost one year, living without any oxygen due to the air distribution to the room not being strong enough. Paradise it is not! Even throughout the winter months with snow and minus temperatures we haven't needed to use the heater once. Last summer you couldn't sleep in the room because the temperature was over 30 throughout the night. The filters are too expensive for them to replace (twice in the year i have been here) regularly so they hoover them at least 3 times even though you are paying a considerable amount of rent to live in the city center. The dust that blows in to the room is awful and you need to deep clean the room every week due to this. If you have breathing difficulties this is not the place for you, if you want fresh air this is not the place for you, if you want customer service and to have your complaints recognised this is not the place for you. The roof terrace has limited furniture for all of the residents that live here and looks like a mouldy ashtray. There has been 2 PS5's stolen from the communal area since i have lived here, security is not their priority. Thankfully i will be leaving very soon!

Awful Move-Out Experience – Avoid This Company

My move-out experience with Verv-Life was a nightmare, largely due to their partnership with a utility company called Community Utility. When I moved out, a Verv-Life agent assured me that all I needed to do was leave the key with the concierge, and everything else would be taken care of. However, there was clearly a major communication breakdown between Verv-Life and the utility company.

Community Utility claimed they never received the account termination notice and have been repeatedly billing me for months after I moved out. Despite informing both Verv-Life and the utility company about the error and asking them to resolve it, nothing has been done. Instead, I just keep receiving utility bills for a property I no longer live in.

This was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. If you’re considering renting with Verv-Life, think twice. Their lack of coordination and accountability is simply unacceptable.

Fantastic team with great support

Met with the VervLife team at one of their sites in Birmingham. The excellence the VervLife bring to promoting and operating Build To Rent schemes shines out and the property looks fantastic. The on-site team were very knowledgeable and friendly - interactions with the residents were warm, friendly and professional.

Dakota was a nice until VervLife

Dakota was a nice place to live, good location, good quality appliances etc. But since VervLife took over in February 2024 it was downhill... They charged random amounts for utilities, what was going on with an internet is still a mystery...
Our neighbours from above had flooding, water was dropping from the ceiling, and the entire wall, the furniture next to it and the floor were wet. They provided the drying machine but that's it. No compensation was offered for damaged goods, and they never even repainted the wall that became dirty.

Vervlife is tragically bad

Vervlife is a tragically bad management company.

If their management of the Collective, Old Oak Co-Living residence in London is anything to go by. Vervlife life are based in Yorkshire and demonstrate no aptitude for managing residential properties.

Their first General Manager would bring her dog to the building (despite a no pet rule for residents) and have staff walk it for her during the day. She only lasted 11 months. The next GM lives on the south coast and only shows up a couple of days a week. The timid operations manager just quit. The staff team leader just quit. The maintenance manager quit. No one it seems wants to work for Vervlife.

People who have called Vervlife's Senior Property Manager to file a complaint are told you are menacing their staff. Threatening their mental health. Er?

Residents themselves manage much of the building; like contacting the London Fire Brigade to stop people from smoking in the building or contact the laundry machine company to carryout maintenance. Residents contacted the water dispenser company to upgrade their machines to prevent flooding.

Vervlife team are no where to be seen and they're no real use anyway.
