Venue for the event was not available
I was given the address for the venue of the singles 28+ event in St Albans about 2 hours before on the day, and was instructed that a table had been booked under 'Unified Dating'. About an hour before the event, I was called by a woman from Unified Dating saying that several of the attendees would not be attending and wanted to check my attendance. I arrived at the venue but the staff said there was no table booked under 'Unified Dating'. I was later called by the same woman, as earlier, and was sent an email to reschedule to the end of next month.

Scam event - wish I'd looked on here first.
I'm scheduled to go to a singles speed dating event tomorrow which I'm still waiting for the TBC email.
Its stated the address will be confirmed up 48 hours prior.
I now realise it's not going to happen but I'm glad I didn't get dressed up for nothing, only to find out last minute it's a waste of money.
The booking process is easy enough.
I'm assuming the refund policy is non existent, so won't be wasting my time attempting to get one.
Avoid this company - they are scammers.

Same experience as the others on this site. Took my money and no event happened. They didn’t even give me an address and won’t refund. They tried to send me to a different event in Coventry over 3 hours away by public transport. I don’t think these people are in the UK it is just a scam. The events breach Eventbrite terms by not having a host, which is also a safety and a quality concern. Of course I should have looked here before booking but I had trusted the quality controls on eventbrite which was a mistake. £17.99 down the drain.

We do not have Unified Dating hosts during events as our events are generally small to medium sized and we prefer to keep our events relaxed and to offer attendees the ability to get to know each other and have conversation without a host constantly present for the duration of an event; we do however, have staff in the venue providing partial hosting by way of ensuring our attendees are welcomed and ok, and we also have email and phone customer care support available when we have live events taking place, so we are on hand to help should an attendee need to contact us.

book for an event in febuary. told its cancelled like an hour before the event so all dressed up for nothing. month goes by and no messages. decide to message and they say that they will definitely get me to an event in the next month so i make a deal with the person on the phone if i get no event by the begining of april i will get a full refund. now 2 more 'we will email you back next week' messaages and im now looking into small claims court to get the money back cause they are just absolute time wasters. never use this company.
even if they give me a refund the rating will stay the same cause everything about this company is 1 star worthy.

myself and a single friend booked into a local event. met outside and went into the venue together
no other people had arrived so we left. 15min later i get weird phone call asking all sorts of questions and told to go back to the venue as people are waiting, went back but again staff at the venue say no people arrived. both our refunds refused as we met each other there? sorry scam agents who dont care about their customers feelings and people should be aware there are no hosts and that could be an issue for safety. Yes unified dating you where made aware don't lie and both our request for a refund via eventbright was declined! I stand by my comments and my genuine experience.

Absolute shambles of a site on eventbrite.co.uk. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. A couple of weeks ago I was a couple of hours from event time - Gay Dating. No location whatsoever. I emailed and they said event cancelled and rearranged. I requested refund - Never received eventbrite.co.uk just said its under review or processing. ABSOLUTE SCAM. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Best Case Scenario: Awfully designed system
Facts: I paid £18 for a drinks night which was then "postponed" less than 2 hours before the event.
I was then invited to a dinner instead and given a credit, this resulted in being sat in a restaurant on my own for 30 minutes before I was notified that 2 others didn't show and one had an emergency.
My request for a refund was denied.
Opinion: Assuming this is even a real business, as far as I can tell, they publish all the events in bulk on Eventbrite and wait for people to book. 2 hours before the event they either book somewhere if they have enough people or postpone it if they don't. These events all happen at the same time in 300+ locations so presumably they are juggling all of these at the same time which is probably why they have no interest in giving refunds.
The end result is that you sign up for an event with no clue where it will be and a high probability of low numbers, possibly just you. You won't find out the attendance until you arrive. In my experience, I received emails and phone calls but I still rate communication as poor as it was usually too little too late.
All in all I do NOT recommend but I will persist (I'm stubborn) and I will return with part 2 of this review. If they continue to fail, I think I might just have to launch my own rival dating service, design it properly and let capitalism decide whether Unified Dating should continue to exist.

After this you failed to reply to us to confirm to attend on the rescheduled event. We did email you to say we have events and when you would like to attend to contact us.

Don't go near this company you will be very disappointed turned up tonight and they were only one person turned up very upsetting and felt embarrassed. It's happened twice now. Cancelled twice and no refund just given other ticket but was cancelled again. Avoid with all cost don't even think it's a right company it's a scam pay your money and never got what I paid for. Felt humuiletrd and very embarrassed. Think it's a scam to make pub money.

Agree with all that’s been said in previous reviews about this being a scam! I had the same experience where I received a call at the start time of the event stating that there was meant to be 6 people attending but some were struggling to make it & they were going to try & contact them to confirm (bullshit!). We got there & the venue knew nothing about the supposed event. They took a picture of our tickets to pass on to their head office to notify of the false advertising being done by unified dating! And shock unified dating emailed to say the event has been rescheduled (more bullshit!) so basically AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

We cannot control if not all attendees arrive on time or do not turn up at all. We communicated with you in good time to inform you that some people were having trouble to make it on time due to their tranport/ trains or having to work until later.
We always make a booking and confirm by phone with a venue, we also provide them with information of how we work and what is involved and what to expect. If not all staff are aware of our booking or infos about us then that is out of our control. We will do our best to improve our operations with the venues that we work with to ensure that they adequately communicate to all their staff about us.
