Planning ahead for a lifetime mortgage
Looking to put a lifetime mortgage in place in 6 months time when I’ll be 55. Asked them for information. Was told they can’t help because I’m only 54 and were quite confused as to what exactly I wanted to know?!
Considering there were numerous calls and messages from them, very poor, very quick “can’t help attitude” as if I was wasting their time
Shame as they are promoted by the likes of Money Savings Expert… do better for clients who plan ahead

Asked for advice on tax issue
Asked for advice on tax issue. Unbiased put me in contact with a wealth management company who eventually admitted he was not a tax advisor. Over several months the advisor recommended by unbiased took very detailed financial and personal information and then stopped all communication without an explanation. I complained to the advisor with no response so contacted Unbiased who did nothing!
I'm now concerned/worried what the advisor wanted all the information for and what he could do with it.
Have now complained to the FCA and discussed the experience with my MP

Update 8.07.26:-
Received e-mail on 25.06.26 from unbiased - "Thank you for your patience. We are currently in the process of contacting the adviser concerned and will be in touch with an update as soon as possible"
Two weeks later still nothing so tried to raise a Subject Access Request under the GDPR with Fairstone and surprise surprise the specific e-mail address they give for this on their website is invalid!
So Unbiased you obviously are unable to contact them, or haven't tried, I can't contact then why are they still listed on your website as providing a service when they blatantly provide no service whatsoever
