I rang the Blandford Forum Branch at 0703 this Monday (today). I got Anthony with a cheery voice who could not have been more helpful.

He advised and sorted out my order really promptly. Cost and delivery prices given immediately.

I highly recommend this branch and if you are lucky enough to be served by Anthony you will receive brilliant service.

I am sick to death of being ripped off at Travis Perkins in Ebbw Vale. They literally decide what price to charge you as they see fit. I bought a 9.5mm x 2400mm x 1200mm square edged sheet of plasterboard and it cost £14. 75. B&Q price; £12.97! Travis Perkins is supposed to be a builders merchant and I have an account with them. I'd have thought prices would be less than a main non-trade retailer like B&Q but no, not even close! I questioned a price before and was told they have several price tiers and not just related to the quantity purchased. I'm done with that depot and the company. They'll never have my business again. My advice is, don't assume TP is competitive and, check their prices! You could be paying significantly more than you need.

first warm saturday of the year....so TP is shut for a stock count, and the next nearest one was just shut at 11am. not long for this world i think.

I've been here a few times and it's always the same but today it was alot worse. The yard staff are rude and not helpful at all. 7 members of staff in the yard and all they did was chat amongst themselves and said for me to go to the other person as they couldn't be bothered to write out a ticket. This is by far the worst place for helpful staff! I mentioned it to the guy behind the counter and he just laughed and said "well I hope they are busy" in terms of prices this place is alot more expensive than other places.

I would like to submit a review for the manager at the Newport based Travis Perkins. I have known Andrew since a member of the Travis Perkins team at Pontypridd, then getting promoted, to manager, and relocated to other branches, and presently at Newport. Andrew is a highly efficient manager with a tremendous amount of technical and practical expertise. For any information and technical guidelines, he is readily informative, has a wealth of talent, and it’s my pleasure to give this individual high praise for his endeavours,and management on recognising his talents at a young age. Ian (Derby North Branch) was great. Brought the delivery in to the house which I would have struggled to do and was nice and friendly.

Last summer we had A new terrace and visited all the local DIY/builders merchants to source the materials…… we finally arrived at Travis Perkins in Lichfield and experienced a much superior level of service.

Connor was extremely helpful both on the phone and in person and the delivery times were all a lot quicker.

Over the last few weeks we’ve ordered further materials seamlessly online and had them delivered from Lichfield or Tamworth by 2 extremely helpful and efficient drivers: Dan and Jon

We were given a timeslot at the beginning of the day and the opportunity to track the delivery.

Absolutely brilliant service

Mr Almond in the Shaftsbury branch handled my request with speed, skill and care. Above and beyond any service I have received in any branch or builders merchants for the last couple of years!
This meant my stress was taken out of one of the aspects of my renovation- my parquet flooring sanding and finishing.

Hold onto deposits for days after returning equipment on hire, this in not on

I visited the Sunbury-On-Thames Branch, I was unsure what I required for the Job I needed to carry out.
As soon as we walked in to the yard we were greeted by Stuart who immediately asked us if he could help us. He was so knowledgeable and was amazing help. He told us exactly what materials we needed in what size, and even went in to reception and reeled off the list to them so we didn't have to write anything down or remember anything. He made it look so easy. The job I needed to do is now finished and all of the material purchased was spot on. We even went back for some more materials for another job and headed straight for Stuart again. I can highly recommend them for any timber needs - if your unsure speak to Stuart he will sort you out.

Tried to hire a wood chipper. No response despite several online orders. Tried ringing multiple times and no one ever picks up the phone. Complete waste of time.

Placed an order by phone on 27Jan26 and all went well, very helpful person at the Exeter Store. I didn't get an order confirmation by email but was not overly concerned.
Order delivered when planned on 13Feb26. All good but did not get an invoice.
18Feb26 I had still not received an invoice so followed up with the Exeter Store. The person answering the phone could not deal with this and had to pass my request to someone else. I received an email with a screen shot of my order/'invoice' from there system. I said this was not sufficient and urgently needed a formal invoice. I was told they had to put that request to head office and it 'usually takes a few days'. I rang head office direct to see if I could get things speeded up as I now needed the invoice urgently. Quite unhelpful... I was told they would request that this was urgent and hopefully that would help speed it up. Clearly not as we are now on the 27Feb26 and I still have no invoice.
Travis Perkins, it is not Rocket Science giving a customer an invoice and is pretty much standard practice with any other business I have dealt with. I cannot remember ever having to wait this long to get an invoice when I have requested one.
Travis Perkins, GET THIS SORTED as I needed it urgently about 10 days ago!

Collection of hired goods arranged for Thursday, I called them around 3pm to find out what time they were coming, they said "we're coming tomorrow now".
I've finished the project, have nobody left here and nowhere safe to leave the equipment.
All they said was "it's the customers responsibility". Customer service is a joke.
