Tradewinds Oriental Shop is a family run business specialising in providing the finest food and drinks, furniture, and kitchenware from Asia. Established in 1984, we first commenced trading at our local market in Scunthorpe selling a small selection of basic Chinese cooking ingredients and a variety of Oriental Arts and Crafts. After 2 years there was sufficient demand to open a small shop on Mary Street, Scunthorpe. Demand soon dictated a move to larger premises and in 1991 we moved to our current premises on Cole Street, Scunthorpe. Tradewinds Oriental Shop has continued to grow and in 2008 we launched our online website offering consumers within the UK and Europe the opportunity to purchase our products at the click of a button. Demand for Asian food and drink has continued to grow in popularity over the years which have led to the expansion of our current shop and warehouse premises in recent years. We now stock over 5000 products from across Asia. Our inventory will continue to grow with new lines becoming available both online and in our shop on a weekly basis. We remain passionate and great effort goes into sourcing and finding the best authentic ingredients and providing these to all our customers within the UK and around the World.

Lack of usual stock but still good value
Didn't have the Sea Dike Jasmine tea in stock, so had to buy an alternative.
NOTE "Sea Dike" brand is actually spelt with a "y" but the fun police review form disallowed that word.
Also had no 100 bag boxes of tea that I usually buy as much better value. Looks like they don't sell them anymore rather than just being out of stock. Had to buy numerous 20 bag boxes instead.
But still pretty good price and arrived fairly quickly.

Please feel free to contact our customer service team who can keep you up to date with the availability of your favourite teas, but we are happy you managed to stock up with the 20 bag boxes for the time being.
Great Online Store
Ordering was smooth and the delivery arrived as stated. Goods were securely packaged on arrival which I was pleased about as the products were all glass items.
The prices and variety of things available are great.
Would definitely order from here again.

I’ve bought from Tradewinds a few times…
I’ve bought from Tradewinds a few times & their prices are always amongst the lowest online, especially for drinks like Jarritos & other brands that are sold at much higher prices elsewhere.
The items are always packaged really carefully & shipped quickly. I’m sure we’ll continue to buy from this place as we’ve been really impressed so far!

Fourth time shopping with Tradewinds and spot on as always. The prices and range are waaaay better than the Asian supermarkets where I live, the communication is always on point and all my items are always carefully packaged with bubble-wrap (and ice packs if I'm buying fresh food). Given my order usually contains a handful of bottles, I'm very grateful for the latter! Plus the shipping is really good value, and whether it's Yodel or FedEx the delivery people in my area are always great. All round brilliant experience.

I truly recommend choosing this shop for doing your online shopping. There is a good selection, the vegetables are very fresh, everything is so carefully and well wrapped up and arranged in the box, shipment happens very fast and communication with the staff is exceptional. I forgot to order ginger root and emailed asked for help and I got straight away an answer and my ginger was added to my shipment and to my bill. Any questions or problems get immediately addressed and resolved.
