Excellent Tour! Justin was very knowledgeable and made our intro to Kyoto memorable. Excellent food recommendations!

An incredible tour! This was my first time in Hong Kong, and I only had one day to see the city (it was a work trip), so I needed to make it count. This tour was everything I had hoped for: architecture, history, culture & religion, food, gardens, neighborhoods, markets, and even tips for getting around and good takeout spots near my hotel. Kiyo brought me to many fun and unusual places I never would have thought to look for, let alone would have found. I learned a ton, and the day flew by. The tour was nicely customized, too. Kiyo adapted the food selections to my tastes. And an extra challenge was that the forecast was rain on and off all day. Kiyo adjusted the tour to account for the rain--even timing different parts of the tour to be indoors at specific times of day. As Victoria Peak was obscured by clouds, he took me to other spots where I was able to get great views of the city. In short, this was a fabulous tour, personalized to me (and the weather), with a lot of attention to detail. Kiyo was a delight to spend the day with. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

We were picked up by our guide Emmanuelle F. in Bordeaux at our hotel. She was prompt, and spoke better than perfect English. We were lucky enough to have her for two full days-the first we spent visiting smaller privately owned wineries (and an amazing picnic lunch), and the second day we started at a local market in Libourne, and then visited the charming town of St. Emilion. We again ended with a delicious picnic lunch at the beautiful Chateau D'Aiguilhe.
She was extremely responsive to what we wanted out of our trip to the Bordeaux area, and made excellent dinner suggestions. We could not have been happier with our choice of a guide!!

We had the best 2 days with Richard! He engaged everyone from the 3 girls to parents to grandmother. He was very informative & interesting, and flexible with what we wanted to do and see. We can't wait to come back in a few years & book more tours with him!!

Lisa L. did an outstanding job in Guilen, Yangshou China - going out of her way to make my travel experience outstanding. She has a knowledge of the area like none others as well as speaking good English and treating everyone with respect. She is a great choice of a tour guide having contracted with other ToursByLocals I say this with all honesty.

What a lovely tour! So thankful for our time with Kabelo and could not recommend more! It was the best way to see the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach and included so many interesting stops and sights along the way. Thank you Kabelo!

Javier was a great guide. He picked up 6 of us and all our luggage in his large van and by using the city map, he explained our route to different and very interesting places in Vancouver. It was really a good idea. We stopped for snacks and lunch, which was great for our 2 teenagers. Because our flight back to NY was very late he stayed with us through out and then took us to the airport. We would highly recommend him, and Tours by Locals.

What made the tour great was Agata's knowledge of not only where we were heading, but also of Poland as a country. Poland is a very special place that's had a tortured history and it's important to learn about it while you're visiting. She was also very open about her personal life which is fascinating and we felt so much more connected to Poland having spent some 16 hours with her over two tours. You're good to go if you book Agata.

I highly recommend booking through Tours by Locals with Diego! From pick up at our hotel through the drop off he made the day enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable and doesn’t just throw facts at you, he asks questions to get you involved. The experience is very personalized for your group. When we return to Mexico we will schedule our next excursion with Diego!!

My group of friends had a 4-hour layover in Calgary, so asked Ingrid of ToursByLocals to give us a walking tour of city highlights. She was clear about where to meet up - joined our group and led us on a terrific tour of some great sights around the city, sharing her local perspectives and some history as well. We so enjoyed learning more about the city and were very pleased with our guide!

Had an awesome tour of the Coliseum underground and arena with Simona! She is keenly knowledgeable about all the intricacies and history of the Coliseum. She makes sure she is connecting with you along the way and not just spewing out details. Without her guidance we would have just been looking at an old ruin. Her in depth descriptions brought life and vibrancy to the structure and let us feel how incredible the Coliseum was and still is. I was with my 18 year old granddaughter and we both walked away feeling enriched by having this very exclusive, informative and special experience. We were touring on a Sunday during June peak tourist time with hundreds of people and during an awful heat wave (100 degrees), however, Simona managed to weave us expertly through the crowds and still keep our interest peaked even when we were all melting. Simona continued on with us for a tour of Palantine Hill overlooking the Forum. Again, without her descriptions and visual aids we would have been lost. Great job Simona for bringing this massive sight to life! I would highly recommend Simona and this tour to anyone who wants to experience the Coliseum and Palantine Hill instead of just visit it. Simona is organized, professional and responds promptly to all messages which gave me a secure feeling that I was booking a high quality tour specially designed to meet our needs. Thank you for a most memorable tour and experience of a lifetime.

My family of 4 absolutely enjoyed “Naha: Blue Zone 'Ogimi Village' (or / and 'Kinatakagusuku Village') Tour with our wonderful guide Kumiko! She is very organized, knowledgeable, friendly and she communicates very well in English. We’ve had tour guides in Tokyo and Kyoto -Kumiko stands out more! She’s very caring, and she made sure we get a lot out of this tour. We didn’t feel rushed at all. She gave us options as the day went on, based on our energy (and the heat!)
Thank you Kumiko for your hospitality, and sharing your beautiful island of Okinawa with us. You definitely left a special part of Japan in our hearts. We will definitely look out for your other Tours next time we’re back. Highly recommend!!!

Miyoko was an excellent guide for our nine person family group. We had multiple allergies and a baby and she provided for all our needs as well as an excellent guide for Nagasaki. Highly recommend her.
