PERSONALITY For starts, I would characterize him A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Was punctual for our pickup from Cruise Terminal Without any hesitation loaded out suitcases into vehicle Very knowledgeable Mild mannered and soft spoken Right at the beginning explained in detail the Itinerary for the day Provided vital information (along with tips and good-to-know) before arriving at a specific location Was sensitive to our personal tastes and choices, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time Shared his personal experiences along the way

To summarize . . . . . made us feel our interaction was more like meeting a long-lost friend after many years, and not like a commercial interaction AMAZING EXPERIENCE and I would like to HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We booked with Andrej through ToursbyLocals for a cruise stop in Progresso. I searched for a long while for an archeologist who could bring the past to life for my family. Toursbylocals really came through on connecting us with just the experience I hoped for. Andrej maximized our time in the region for the day and personalized a tour for my family of three kids (9, 14, & 17) and two adults. He kept the youngest to the eldest engaged. He was attentive and sensitive to when each of them had questions or comments and listened as intently to them as to mom and dad. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the local history. We went back in time to colonial Merida, visited the square, the Cathedral and then walked through the market where we had cochinita pibil, dragon fruit and yellow mango. We also found vanilla, salt, and honey to bring home with us, the latter two which the area is well known for. After we were refreshed, we headed to Dzibilchaltun where there is a new museum but we enjoyed all of our time there exploring some of the oldest historical sites in the Yucatan. The van he rented he apologized for being a bit too large but the teens didn't mind at all. I can't wait to come back to the region and explore more sites. Be prepared with cash for the market and also for gratitude. You cannot find a better tour company or a better local guide for your family!

Knowledeable guide, great with family (10 and 14), and lots of fun.

What an amazing day! We didn't just see Stonehenge, Avesbury and the Roman Baths, James took us inside the heads of the people behind them.

We don't know why Neolithic peoples built massive stone circles, but James helped us feel the enormity of the task and the deep reverence which must have driven them.

We didn't just hear stories about the Roman Baths, James placed us within the Roman world and framed the experience from the perspective of those who came there to heal and appeal to the gods.

James is so much more than a tour guide! His unique approach creates a deeply personal experience.

Tour guide Erin was very knowledgeable of the history of Providence and made the experience fun and educational.

Professional tour guide, Olga, who shared a wealth of knowledge about Riga and Latvia. My husband and I had limited mobility, so our 4 hour tour included a car tour around Riga. The history of this town and country was amazing and we were able to go into all the different districts in Riga, and see all the main tourist sites. Highly recommended!

We had a great day exploring Mexico with our tour guide Saul with Tulaka Mexican Travel. We booked a private tour with Saul and he took our family zip lining, to a cenote and snorkeling in ocean. After that he took us to a local restaurant to try authentic Mexican food. For any families traveling to Mexico, we highly recommend booking a private tour that allows you to experience the day on your own schedule. We arrived to the zip lining and cenote early in the morning before all of the crowds arrived and had the whole place to ourselves. During the snorkeling, our daughter didn’t want to get in the water so Saul stayed back to watch her while my husband and I got our own private snorkeling tour. We then were able to choose from multiple options for lunch and Saul translated and explained the menu options for us. Along with that, Saul took pictures and videos throughout the whole day so we were able to enjoy the day while he captured the moments. You can also tell that Saul has kids because he was very patient and engaging with our daughter. She loved hanging out with him and we all had a memorable day. We highly recommend booking a private tour with Soul to get an immersive experience of Mexico!

Our wonderful guide, Adam O. customized our tour to include all the attractions we wanted to visit in an 8hr. period. In fact, we managed to see everything we wanted to see in even less than the time allotted. We travelled by train and taxis to see everything and fell in love with Kyoto.

Petur was the highlight our Iceland trip around the Golden Circle. From the very beginning of our booking,
he was easy to work with, communicated timely, answered all of our questions, and personalized our trip. Just based on our emails during the booking process; I was anxious to meet him and he did not disappoint. He was flexible and met every request. We enjoyed getting to know him and we feel like he is now part of our family. All 12 of us on the tour talked about him and our Golden Circle experience throughout our time in Iceland. It was the best start to our 7-day adventure.

Krakow Half day city tour

Marta did an excellent job customizing this tour, We used her van to go to the top of the castle so we did not have to climb a pretty steep hill. we went through the castle and then did a walking tour of Old Krakow at our own pace. She is very knowledgeable and what we liked most was her ability to customize the tour to our liking.

Solrum was fantastic. We would highly recommend her for a future trip and hope we have a chance to go back and spend more time with her in the future.

A very big thankyou to Guillermo for a wonderful half day bird watching tour! We were able to tick off a stack of new birds and exceeded all our expectations! He knew where to find the birds, knowledgable of conservation efforts, general local history and also architectural insights. He was able to fulfil my special request of the Hoopoe! He arranged a special morning tea with some local characters! Just an all round great guy to spend the day with. His love of Gran Canaria shines through. Book him! You won't be disappointed.

Toshi made this tour the highlight of our trip to Tokyo! He was super knowledgeable, charming and kind! My kids loved him! My kids ages range from 16-31. I booked the 7 hour tour and it was astounding. I will reccomend this organization highly given the caliber of the tour guide we had!! Toshi was Amazing!!!!
