Tom Jones at Scarborough

Tom Jones at Scarborough open air was brilliant. With Tom Jones and his talented band on stage what a night! Music and sound perfect. There were a few hiccoughs with the stage screens and I would have liked the support acts trumpets and saxophone to have been on screen when they were playing but overall a wonderful night.

The tickets appeared on my phone…

The tickets appeared on my phone earlier, but when I got to the theatre they didn't come up, fortunately they are obviously use to this at the theatre, because they had a gentleman with a list of people attending the show,
Cheers

Tom Jones Scarborough Open Air

We booked three seats on row A front row, only to be disappointed by a fixed stage camera obstructing our view of the main artist Tom Jones. We obviously asked if it could be moved or adjusted but unfortunately it could not be moved. Surely whoever was in charge should take into consideration with people paying premium prices for tickets ensuring that their view is uninterrupted

A long wait, but very much worth it…

It would‘ve been nice to have expected appearance timings. ‘Doors at’ time is of no use. We expected Anna Calvi at 6.30 or 7pm and Mr Byrne at 8ish. Anna Calvi came on at around 8pm and David Byrne at 9pm. We had arrived before 6pm - far too early. We were bored and cold.
Shortage of toilets and ‘quality’ food vendors.
David Byrne (and his fellow performers) were brilliant. Great experience.

Old school.

Everything went very well but I am old school and would prefer the reassurance of a paper ticket. I always feel anxious in the queue in case I can't find the tickets on my phone.

Don’t transfer your ticket!

I transferred one of the 2 tickets l bought to my husband. My husband became ill and we were unable to go to the concert. I was able to sell my ticket but hadn’t realised that if you transfer a ticket you can’t resell it, even if, as in this case, they transfer it back to the original seller. The result, an empty seat at the concert last night. I took out insurance and so far haven’t been able to claim on that either. It’s been very frustrating and depressing experience.

Although I could see my concert tickets…

Although I could see my concert tickets on e mail they were not visible on the Ticketmaster App (you cannot print the tickets off e mail as the only way to enter the concert is by showing the tickets on your mobile).
I contacted Ticketmaster online and I was advised to change my Location on the App (which must default to the USA). As soon as I changed it my tickets were immediately available. However it would be useful for the company to let the general public know this as it would avoid unnecessary contact with Ticketmaster.
