This is a review I owe long time to an amazing customer service from Urban Botanist . I bought a terrarium a year ago; on delivery I noticed the glass was broken .
I called the customer service regarding the damage and emailed the picture , the very next day I received a new terrarium with an extra led lighting as a good gesture .
Wonderful customer service !!!

Lovely terrarium but poor customer service
I bought a lovely terranium and paid extra for lights. The lights failed on 3rd day. Now I have a query about mushrooms and weeds growing in the terranium and also tiny black flies flying around. No reply to my email. I think the post purchase customer service is a bit lacking.

Poor quality plants - not worth the money
I ordered some small succulents/cacti for a terrarium to replace some that I had lost as a result of not watering them. The replacements were quite expensive, but I was happy to pay this as the original plants had been good. Sadly, when the new plants arrived they were completely dried out, they had fallen over in the box and half the compost fallen out and the plants themselves were all miniature cacti, not the attractive succulents advertised (although the website did note that either cacti or succulents might be sent) and did not look at all healthy. I ended up putting them in the bin and buying more attractive and cheaper replacements at a garden show.

First the product was ruined after 6…
First the product was ruined after 6 months of purchase. Retailer got advise from the firm asking for review and was told to buy a replacement kit so I did, cost me £40 or so. You left the prices on the plants that I got which was only 4 with a price tag of £1.99 each so it cost £32 for the compose and moss lol. I will never by from this firm again when my £12 spin off version from my local supermarket has lasted me 3 years now. Waste of money

Cheap and poor experience
I recently bought a DIY dinosaur terrarium (£60) for my little boy. What turned up was an average, cheap and rather poor experience.
Despite the price the terrarium jar is plastic and has visible plastic joins either side of the jar. It looks cheap and tacky.
The plants are smaller than the picture and come in a plastic cup, too small for the plants. By the time you to get to planting them, they have fallen out the cup about 100 times and not an ounce of soil is left.
There are no instructions at all, an assumption you are all experts in this field, so by completion stage the whole thing looked utterly woeful.
The dinosaur toys are cheap and look like what you pick up in a local Pound Shop.
For the price it's disgusting. You could certainly buy all of these items yourself for around £15/20

Absolutely amazing! Ann-Marie, Lucy and their team put together the most beautiful Terrarium I could have asked for. It’s vibrate, modern and most importantly healthy. If your looking for an alternative to fresh cut flowers that can breathe life and colour into your property and make it feel more like a home then this is the company to do it! Highly recommended!! Hi Jodie, Thank you for both your order and time taken to write a review. Hopefully you can see from the reviews frequently left on Trust Pilot we absolutely put Customer Service at the top of our priority list. Unfortunately, when you sent images of the product received it had been covered in water by the recipient of your gift. The image clearly showed all the water inside the stones and condensed on the inside of the glass. This is absolutely not what was sent in the instructions/ care guide as these plants require very little water onto the surface of the soil every 2-3 weeks maximum. This instruction had not been followed in this instance so whilst we are always here to help we cannot replace products that are faulty through the incorrect care being given. If we had at any point made any errors we would of course send a replacement. I am so sorry your friend soaked the item making it appear ruined. We did offer detailed advise as to how the product could be successfully dried out and new plants could be placed inside to rectify the situation. We are very happy to go through that again with you and your gift recipient if that would help remedy the situation. I hope that clarifies the situation in part and reassures you that customer service is absolutely a major priority for all at The Urban Botanist... we are very much here to help as we tried our best to do for you.

Great products and customer care
We've bought a number of things from Urban Botanist and been really impressed with the quality of the products but, more importantly, the quality of the customer service - particularly from Anne Marie. On one occasion we had a minor manufacturing issue and an entire replacement arrived the following day without question. We've also received excellent advice and, free of charge, new plant material to better help an Ecosystem flourish. I'm always happy to support a business which cares about it's customers.
