Booked 2 return tickets to Teignmouth from Kings Lynn.
But because we're pensioners, we had to book separately, because of the over sixties ticket pass we have paid for individually, we cannot sit together there and back.
We are aggrieved because of this booking anomaly.

Your staff are trying their best but the amount of fare dodging scum they ahve to deal with is unfair on them and they deal with it so well so make sure the cameras are kept rolling but yuu need to do more to stop the dodgers getting onto the trains

We had a return from London Euston on Tuesday 26th May which was delayed by 2 hours due to the driver not being on time and various speed limits on the track back to Carlisle. I never received an auto delay repay notification I had to go on line and register it

Trainline seems like a convenient way to book rail tickets.
However as I discovered, if something goes wrong with your booking or ticket, you do not receive the same protections as you would if you had booked directly with the individual train service directly.
In my case, I booked a 1st class ticket on the day of travel via Trainline. On the ScotRail train there were no 1st class seats available, so I travelled in a normal carriage. There 15 other passengers in the same situation according to the conductor, the train was very busy.
This wouldn't really have been a problem - the ScotRail customers who had booked directly received a partial refund immediately via the conductor. Because I had booked via Trainline I contacted them. Trainline refused the same compensation, and the customer service rep was I have to say pretty rude, obstinate and unhelpful about it.
I've used Trainline for decades but will never do so again. It costs more than booking direct, and you are unprotected against unseen circumstances outside your control.

I was very impressed with Trainline they had lots of seats and times to choose from which some train sites don’t. Also the prices were very good especially if you have a rail card which I do which is worth getting.

Personally I would prefer to speak to an actual person and have an actual ticket in my hand.

For the 5th time i have been under the impression i purchased a 'open return' ticket within a month from trainline, only to discover it is a 'off peak day return' - everytime i have to buy another and waste money on this mistake. it is useful to have open returns but not if they cost more than they should due to mistakes
