Long delays

I started my course in September, it is now March and I have still not been able to book any exams. I keep being told to expect more delays when I contact customer services. On the website it says the average time to complete the course is 6 months. I haven't even been able to book my first exam in 6 months.

L3 Gym Instructor & Personal Training - Exam

I’ve been trying to book my Unit 1 exam but can’t due to severe delays and expect Unit 2 will be the same. Emails only receive responses saying there’s a delay, with no real help or timeline. Customer service doesn’t answer calls or return them either. Extremely frustrating. Ive now been waiting 4 weeks and still no exam date.

Awful AVOID! I’ve had no help or support I’ve asked for a refund multiple times and no one gets back to you they just take your money and run

I’ve had enough with this TTR GROUP…

I’ve had enough with this TTR GROUP company. The premium credit finance I’ve had enough with this TTR GROUP company. The premium credit finance company stopped my account due to a late payment, saying that I have to deal with TTR Learn Direct directly. So, I’ve tried to contact them regarding the issue. You can never get through to them, no matter how long they leave you on hold for two hours! What kind of customer service line is that? Everything they promised regarding help with studies was false; no tutor checks up, nothing. Their app service is terrible and outdated. I’ve been waiting to get registered for my test, and the email they respond with is the same thing they copy and paste and send to everyone else who’s had similar issues with them, which is they’re working on it and the company went into administration in 2022, etc., etc. Reading other reviews, everybody says the exact same thing about the company, TTR/LearnDirect. Some people still haven’t even been registered for a test date, some haven’t even received their certificate, and when they do, the qualifications don’t even help you get a job. I’ve spoken to various other gym companies like Pure Gym/Fitness First and the Gym Group, and they all said they’re not associated with TTR, which is the main reason why I signed up to this course. I’ve wasted money, and now they’re trying to get me into debt when I wanted to quit the course the first time. They wouldn’t let me, so they swapped a different course, which was cheaper(£974.25), but I still had to carry on paying the fee of my original course (£1494.35) and any money I would’ve been eligible for a refund; they said it would be used as a non-refundable credit ( £520.10). They instead said it would go to any new future course I pick, with a time span of six months to use it, which is ludicrous. I’m due to get in contact with my lawyers about fraudulent activity and debt blackmail. They’re forcing me to now pay due to a fraudulent contract agreement with a 14-day cancel rule that permanently ties you into debt with them. A very smart scheme, and now I’m stuck paying for a course which really and truly has no benefit for me in the real world. Waste of time and money. I advise people to stay away from this company. Absolutely shocking iv been waiting…

Absolutely shocking iv been waiting since November to be registered for my first exam on a course they told me I could complete in 12 weeks , refusing to give me a refund , no body ever answers the customer service phone line and all the emails keep telling me there is a delay in registering me ,, do not use this company

DO NOT USE!!!!

I signed up with these for various courses because they were one of the cheapest for the courses I was looking to complete.

I'm regretting choosing this provider honestly I sign up in September and it's now January and I STILL haven't been registered to complete my unit 1 and 2 exams. All I keep getting is replies saying that they're looking into it etc but its just not good enough.

I'm really not happy with this as I had originally planned to finish the entire level 2/3 course in this time but I've lost all motivation right now because of this clown show.

Just taken on my second course with The…

Just taken on my second course with The Training Room and Learn-Direct. And after some technical issues that took some time to sort out, I have no issues, so far.

Brilliant for somebody, like me, with a full time job and was having a hard time finding personal trainer courses that could fit in to my busy life.

I would like to give Sarah-Jane Learn Directs community host a special shout out for helping me out and putting up with my inpatients.

DO NOT FINANCE THIS.

I decided to finance this online course over 3 years it was the worst thing I’ve ever done.

The tutors were extremely unhelpful and the coursework is cheap and pointless.

And once you realise this it’s too late to get out.

Go with another company, don’t use the training room.

We were disappointed to read this feedback. As you are aware, TTR went into administration in November 2022, and its subsequent rescue and change in management means that unfortunately, any previous learners cannot be supported by the new TTR team.

However we can assure any new learners enrolling on our courses that they will receive the highest standard of tutor support, and customer service, from our new team.

It's a scam, beware!

It's a scam. Please beware that no industry professional will actually ever require any of what this company offers. They will also get you to sign a legal document, and when you don't pay or miss a payment, they will illegally sell your data to a third party. I'm in the process of suing them.

Very helpful

I filled out a short request online for more information. Within a very short space of time I received a call back from Carl. He talked through the course content, how to access the units and explained how I would be supported through the course. I didn't feel pressured to commit and he left it with anything else he can help with then don't hesitate to ring him back.
The next day I rang Carl back and enrollment was straight forward.

Great Service

I dealt with Carl Edwards whilst I was figuring out whether the course was for me or not.
He was really helpful and answered all my questions and it never seemed like a chore.
I have now enrolled and if my dealings with customer services so far is anything to go by, I'm sure I will have no problems. Great service

Find another provider.

The Training Room Personal Training Course might be widely recognised but it is some of the worst course instruction I have ever come across. The information in the course is often poorly written or ACTUALLY WRONG. The questions written for the assessment similarly are often badly worded or once submitted you are then asked to resubmit an answer because it is missing information that was not asked for anywhere in the question.

They are also extremely scammy with how they mark your work. They take an excessively long time to get back to you to almost force you into paying more for the fast marking and then corrections for a single answer take the same amount of time as marking 16 questions.

FINALLY, the certificates for the end of each course do not come through for "up to 16 weeks" well I have been waiting even longer than this for mine.

Don't bother with them. FInd another provider.
