Ordered in October.
Signed up for a 12 week wait which by trading standards policys state should furfil orders if signed a wait waited 26 weeks asked for a refund complete joke theres companys out there thays getting them out next day like moore and sons or little wrens cakes this joker is taking your money going on holiday head butting cakes taking piss out of his customers he is a joke. And now with the stuff coming out about the video of him and them boys im sorry but you dont joke about that stuff. Its wrong.

Ordered cakes with a 12 week wait accepted. Waited 27 weeks and they were awful.
I put them in the bin. When i mentioned on his social media i wasn’t best pleased with the bakes i got blocked. Very disappointed with the customer service, wait time and product overall. There is a very questionable video of him on the internet of him being awfully inappropriate to minors. Not good!

Well I came across this on Facebook my local expose page. I had no idea this man was so uncouth. We visited his shop when it was open was a bit odd then as it opened late and the cakes were not that good so we never went back. I certainly wouldn’t recommend them or buy from them again. Very concerning behaviour . Check it out yourself .

And now terry bakes is going through trust pilot trying to get rid of all the negative reviews..... why cant you be honest with yourself terry and realise that you have messed up....
You have taken too many orders......you have spent all the money.......... you are unable to complete all the remaining orders as you cant afford too....... and let's not forget the video with the teenage boys and the one with the dog eh terry... is it all finally all falling down around you??

Was thinking of ordering but saw the 6 month wait, so had a look here for reviews. Changed my mind on his fb account I answered a comment " his cakes are worth the wait" my reply "Not according to Trustpilot" and ten seconds later I'm blocked from his page!! Just don't bother with him!! Have also seen a very disturbing video of him drunk, talking to kids in a disgusting way!! A vile man!!!

Ordered a cake back in October still never received it. Questioned why and the reply was a load of offensive and excuse after excuse . Never had so bad customer service .

Ordered a mystery box for the kids. The only mystery surrounding these cakes is where the frit it is. No customer service, no updates. After seeing recent controversies online too I certainly won’t be re-ordering

Shocking 6 month wait for substandard cakes.
Absolutely should not be taking people’s money and making them wait this long for a few cookies or cakes.
Don’t order- if you have get a refund or a charge back.

He needs to take orders that he can’t fulfill in order to maintain his lifestyle.
Plenty of other people who can give you a better service and product.

Aware of the long wait but when our cakes arrived they were squashed into the plastic wrap, looked unappetising and tasted worse than average.
Over priced rubbish. Lots of lovely cake sheds that have amazing cakes alot cheaper. Not good value

I placed my order in September 2025 and, yes, the wait was long, but that was part of the fun. Mystery cakes arriving on a mystery day? We were fully on board.

Unfortunately, the delivery didn’t quite go to plan. It was marked as delivered but never showed up. I emailed, and Nikita got back to me quickly and chased it up straight away. She was really helpful and clearly understood my disappointment (and my slight cake-related heartbreak).

I mentioned we’d probably order again in the future anyway, curiosity alone would see to that - but instead, they sent out a replacement box at no extra charge, which was genuinely appreciated. Thank you, Terry and Nikita!

All I can say is we thoroughly enjoyed the cakes. So much so that we’ve decided it’s now a family treat, we’re planning a few random orders and turning it into a bi-monthly surprise.

Honestly, I don’t really understand the negative reviews. I ordered knowing there’d be a wait. Is it long? Yes. Slightly ridiculous? Also yes. But it’s a small operation - one man, one woman, running a business, raising a family, and somehow still posting out boxes of joy.

Keep doing what you’re doing… we’ll be back (impatiently waiting, but happily so).

Ordered sept 22nd 2025 recieved march 2026 very excited cakes arrived all the hype and the wait I couldn't wait to try them. I can honestly say they were awaful heavy no taste to them at all the sponge should be nice and fluffy but terry bakes wear not I woudnt order again I dont mind waiting 7 months if it worth the wait but it wasn't

Do not buy from this person unless you want a very long wait 6 months minimum. And not the greatest cakes either. Go with get baked so much more better.

guy takes orders he cant fulfil takes payment upfront spends the money whilst you wait 26+ weeks for 4 poorly packaged cakes made with the cheapest ingredients. bankruptcy cant be far behind

I knew there was a wait but 6 months. Come on 6 months on 4 cakes. To be fair they were off good size. Wish they wasn’t tho. Very very very dry. You can tell instantly it’s cheap ingredients. The quality isn’t there at all. I jump on the bandwagon when I should have fallen of it. Won’t be buying again.

Waited a while, new this when I ordered. He makes no secret of it.

I waited, they were most definitely worth it!!
Only 4 * because of the delay, but I new that.

Can’t comment on the cakes as I ticked the box that said it would be a 12 week wait, but after 6 months I decided to cancel it. Who wants to wait 1/2 a year for some cakes. Also reviews are all poor. They didn’t care when I requested a refund (still waiting for it) and just said no problem, order cancelled. They must get a lot of cancel requests. I just don’t understand why he keeps opening up for new orders when he has a 6 month backlog. Also his social media is just him constantly moaning about making drip cakes. Get new content, it’s getting boring now so have unfollowed
