The Target's Credit Card Not Worth the Hassles
The Target Circle Card was formerly called the Red Card and I have it, and its successor Circle Card for almost 20 years. Today, I cancelled my Circle Card which wasn't that easy to do because of their hidden process that requires a phone call to an oversears call center. Bottom line is that their recently "updated, refreshed" website for their credit card went from lousy to worse in terms of user friendliness. So now we have poor telephone support and what's seems like a trend to understaff their stores (in NYC anyway) now leads me to cancel their card. As for the 5% discounts on purchases, keep in mind the many limitations in actually getting it, and that you must purchase at least $200 of approved purchases before you can "earn" the minimum of $10 in reward dollars which then involves a convoluted process to get a gift card for redemption at the store! A ridiculous process for cashing out the 5% reward. Get a real reward credit card not tied to Target.
