It was so refreshing to receive a reminder in the post that my contract needed renewing & to actually dial the number given & get through to a real person. Well done Talk Talk. UPDATE I am now real... See more

Save yourself a whole lot of trouble and avoid this company. Can't provide the broadband service they are contracted to provide, can't fix it and won't cancel it themselves. Won't provide an address for a letter from us cancelling it. They're expecting a 95 year old deaf gentleman to sit and wait for them to answer the phone. Won't deal with me, even though he spoke to them and said i had full authority to manage the account for him. They asked for a password to enable this, which was fine until i asked to cancel. I am disgusted with them.
I'm just adding, after seeing the standard response below, that they want £238 to cancel the contract! On your bike Talk Talk, you're lucky i don't sue you for failing to provide the contracted service for 4 months!

My internet service went down. Took them more than two weeks to fix. They're supposed to give automatic compensation. No, not this company, offerd £10. Now going to small claims court. Terrible company, shouldn't be trading.

Ok but.......
Been a Broadband customer for a few years. Recently switched to Sky for much cheaper price and faster speeds. Talktalk were well priced at the start but things change and as consumers so can we.
Firstly, on starting the switch I was inundated with calls from Talktalk. No doubt from a retentions department as just left a robotic voicemail each time claiming they had to confirm something with me. Literally 40 calls in a few days. Irritating to say the least. If it was urgent and necessary they would write to you.
Finally, today received a returns bag to send my router back. Saving the planet and potentially avoiding a £50 charge. All good but the returns bag is comical. I am saving the planet and they send a bag (and I am not exaggerating) bigger than a builders rubble bag. The router does not fill 5% of the bag. It looks so ridiculous I feel I have to cellotape the bag up to make it look like a parcel and easier for the Post Office to handle. Save the planet but use 95% too much plastic and must cost more.
If this review does more to save the planet than a used router all good.

Talk Talk have suddenly produce a bill when I have left the property of the account in question 2 years ago.
I do not owe this money and did inform them of this however they sent the information to a company called LCS who are now hasseling me. I DO NOT owe them anything. Talk Talk are the worst company ever. I have explained this to no avail. This is beyong ridiculous.

Scam artists! Moved house and they tried charging me a contract breakage fee even though they don’t supply the area I moved to so didn’t have a choice but to cancel, just received a bill as they refunded me but failed to inform me that refund was to cover the breakage fee and now i am expect to pay £128.50 even though this was never explained during the cancellation process. Absolutely disgusted would never recommend talktalk to anyone! Useless company and need to train their staff a bit better. Formal complaint has been made.

Would score 0 if it were possible. The most useless, incompetent company I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Customer service dysfunctional. They make it extremely difficult to talk to a real person make you repeat your name, phone number, whether you are the account holder each time you are transferred to another agent, disconnect your call and then don't ring back as scheduled.

I have been with talk talk for 6 years, when leaving them they made it impossible. Can’t cancel online you have to call them off-shore, couldn’t understand workers on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get me to stay even tho I am moving home. Wouldn’t go back to them now for this reason!

A If I could give this company zero stars I would went with a new company on july the 8th and they try charging till the 31st July try phoning them and spoke to someone you could not understand due to his foruin accent then they send a email for £47.18 saying if you dont pay it would effect my credit ratings and they would put it in the hands of their debt collectors what makes it worse their contract ended the 4th of July what a crap company their service is terrible and what a way to treat a pensior to tell them they would put it in the hands of debt collectors

Broadband went down Sunday 19th July 26. Eventually got to speak to someone and a new router sent out and received 22nd July , this has not solved the issue. It is clear an engineer is required as the issue is clearly outside the home. Spend a whole hour messaging a bot and a person which is stressful and achieving nothing. Eventually got cut off. So here I am five days later no Broadband and no hope of it being resolved. Absolutely shocking service, will be switching to Sky later. I have enough on plate with my wife being a cancer patient. Avoid this company at all costs. I certainly won’t be paying any leaving charges, if Talk Talk can’t provide a service then I have no intention of paying.

Really poor service transitioning to a new product - I finished an old broadband and landline product and went for a new broadband fibre only. There should have been No Cancellation fees on the existing contract and they should have stopped the original direct debit payments. They failed on both fronts - cancellation costs charged (despite ringing them twice) and old payments continued. Very annoying and expended hours on the phone sorting. How difficult is this!

We have had no service since 23/6. Tried talking to Talk Talk, they confirm we had no landline but still wanted my 89 year old husband to crawl into the bottom of our airing cupboard to deal with the master socket. When we said no, they suggested when we next have a visitor, they can do it!!! Talk Talk refused to listen and refused to send out an engineer. We have just received a bill for July/August even though they know we have cancelled our contract. This is a sham of a company and no doubt they will threaten debt collectors etc because we will refuse to pay for a service/cancellation fee for something we have not got. Talk Talk do not listen, no matter how many times we have tried to talk to them.

Unparalleled awfulness in every respect. A masterclass in how to alienate customers. The worst customer service you will ever have the misery to experience—every time, all the time. Avoid at all costs.

I managed just under 2 weeks with Talk Talk. Everything has been slow and awkward at best, utterly ineffectual, sloppy and rude at worst. I have seen nature programmes where injured baby wildebeest have put up more spirited fights for their own survival than this company.
During the set up they told me I couldn't use one of my email addresses (literally my name and a number at the provider. Com) so had to use another that I keep for personal emails, weird cagey reasons given for this but nothing clear that I understood. It took ages for the modem to arrive despite the person I spoke to during set up promising he would "prioritise" us.
Then I couldn't log into my account after we did recieve the modem, working in tech it appeared to be a bug, so I tried to report it. None of the options seemed to work, so I tried to speak to someone, the phone service took me round the houses and to a line recommending I call the number I had called before hanging up on me.
I called back, managed to speak to a person, they transfered me to that same dead end line.
Used the online chat, went through the AI helper which really struggled with basic questions (again, I work in tech, I have experience using these sort of things and speaking their language).
The first real person I chatted with asked what the problem was, I explained, they said they would try and assist. They asked what the problem was, I explained again, they promised to do everything they could to help... and asked what the problem was. I lost my temper a bit and told them to re-read my previous messages (The issue, I remind you, was that I couldn't log into my account and the attempts to change that were taking me back to the beginning of the process and not sending me any emails etc).
I will note at this point also, that the help service was busy so I was getting 10-15 minute gaps between questions.
It was so a painfully slow process that the person's shift ended and I spoke to someone else. I explained the situation, they promised to help me, they vanished after 15 minutes and I was assigned to another person.
I couldn't help but being a little rude to this person, I did apologise, but at this point I had been using the chat for 2 and a half hours. I told the third guy to forget about it and I would cancel the service instead.
All they had to do was give me an idea of what they were doing, I wasnt asking for miracles, just to know what was happening.
I called their helpline to speak to someone on their customer exit line, they didn't try to help, just sort of agreed with me weakly and acted this was like every call they took and there was nothing to be done about customer retention.
I went away and found a new service known for its customer service reputation. Basically the same price as Talk Talk.
Called their customer exit line again to confirm I was leaving. Spoke to a reception line that said someone from customer retention would call me back in two hours. My wife and I laughed so hard at this, the service was this anaemic, this feeble, that this company couldn't even put up a fight to save its own sale. It was embarrassingly weak, a tepid company all round, about 2 and a half hours later someone called and asked if I was interested in hearing reasons to stay with Talk Talk, I said yes. He asked why I was leaving, I explained and he had nothing to say to me so rolled over and left the call, thus ending my shortest and most feckless experience with an internet provider of my entire life.
On the plus side, the internet seemed to work for the ten odd days we had it for (not including the 10 odd days it took for out modem to arrive).
Also, I will commend the company for having a 2 week cooling period from recieving the hardware, as they are so slow getting it to you that the 2 week period would run out before you got internet access otherwise.
Dealing with Talk Talk had been like watching a man crawl on his stomach following a lethal gunshot wound to try and get to the hospital but the whole time he was crawling in completely the wrong direction despite my best efforts to tell him otherwise.

Terrible service. Live in Reading area, CityFibre was the only option before Openreach put in fibre went with talk talk as choice was limited. Locked into a 2 year contract it was the worst decision everi as their customer service is non existent. Many issues at start but now we have a fault, told is an external issue and talk talk would sort it out, 2 weeks of lies saying engineer will be with you tomorrow then not turning , or saying someone will call back and never do. After FIVE appointments missed it has left us with no option but to leave talk talk and find a company on Openreach system . We haven’t been able to download any tv for weeks and enough is enough.

Been with the company for years, started with them back when it was Lineone then Tiscali. Was always impressed with them but that’s gone completely out of the window this year. Renewed my contract and then every month the bill was wrong. Spent hours online trying to resolve the issues but each month it got worse. So I’ve raised a complaint and nothing happened so I registered it with CISAS who have agreed to process the complaint. Will be leaving TalkTalk once CISAS advise on the outcome of the matter. Their customer service team is rubbish and they ask you to ring them and then you get sent a text message that only takes you to an online chat. You then spend hours waiting for them to respond and then not deal with the issue.

Contacted talktalkheretohelp requesting that my 95yr old mother in law’s home telephone contract be cancelled as she has been in hospital since 19/3/26 (18 weeks).
Although I am registered with talk talk to deal with my mother in laws account they required to speak to her.
I explained that the account holder is receiving end of life treatment and could not speak to them.
Talk talk then required a letter of proof from the hospital which I declined to provide as the hospital is busy enough.
My wife has power of attorney for her mum,
But still talktalk request information about the account which has been provided but still they won’t cancel the house phone contract.
I’m now going to cancel the direct debit and I’ve given my name and address for a final bill.
Talktalkhereto help is not fit for purpose.
